Expensive service. Forward shipping and customs/VAT ended up costing more than the product itself. Even though I asked to have the product shipped as a gift, the value of the product was still visible and thus caused customs fees

Thank you for taking the time to review our services, however, we are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the price paid. The shipping cost paid depends purely on the weight, dimension and destination. The shipping cost paid excludes import tax or local tax and duty. It is as stated on our website and shown at the time of order, that the shipping cost paid excludes customs charges or local tax and duty. Even if it is declared as a gift, unfortunately, it makes no difference, as most local customs will still apply an import tax. Customs charges value depends on item type, value, and local destination tax rules. It usually consists of tax, duty, courier deferment, and administration fees. Local couriers or their appointed broker collect the tax and duty on behalf of the local customs or government. I hope this information helps explain how taxes and duties are charged. I’m a bit disappointed really. My order arrived at your warehouse on January 13th and I processed the shipment within a day or so. I was given two choices both with Royal Mail Parcel Force to forward my parcel to Dubai. I picked the quickest service. Nothing happened for a week then I received an email informing me of the problems Royal Mail were experiencing due to the cyber attack and advised that I could cancel and choose another courier service instead of Royal Mail to speed the service up. I cancelled only to find the same two Royal Mail services with no other courier services available. I would have gladly paid extra for fedex or another courier that ships to Dubai. I’m still waiting for my parcel that arrived at forwardvia on Jan 13 which is disappointing as I’m used to waiting a few days for deliveries from the UK. It would be great to see more courier options available to choose from instead of Royal Mail ParcelForce.

We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the service you received. ​ ​We just checked our system that you placed a first order to ship your package on Friday, 13 Jan at 16:07. We informed you on 16 Jan, the next business day after the weekend, when our office is open about Royal Mail do not accept any parcels due to cyberattack. Unfortunately, this is outside our control as all shipments are handled by 3rd party carriers. ​ ​Looking into your 2nd shipping order more closely, we can see you've entered Dubai as City and entered country United States which is an incorrect shipping address, hence courier options were not shown. You can see the shipping address you entered and the details of the order you placed in your account. ​ The shipping labels were generated automatically when you place a shipping order. Package details and the shipping address you provided were automatically sent to the carrier's system to labels for export. The labels are then printed and attached to the package and handed over to the carrier when they collect it. ​ ​Due to the incorrect address you provided, the package may not get to the correct destination. Royal Mail may ship it to the correct destination or they may return it to the sender (us) if they are unable to process it. Unfortunately, there is no way to know, and Royal Mail partial tracking does not normally provide any further information. We hope that the above clarifies your query. ​Please do not hesitate to contact our customer service if we can be of further assistance to you.

The shipping cost depends purely on the weight, dimension, and shipping destination regardless of the item value, which is an industry-standard. Our rates are publicly available on our shipping calculator to enable visitors to check and compare prices. This helps shoppers to decide whether it is worth shipping or check if it is within their budget. We believe we offer the most competitive shipping rates, compared to other UK forwarders. Some forwarders charge lower shipping rates, but then some charge subscription fees, shorter free storage periods, package receiving fees, mail out, and other charges. Quite expensive for medium weight packs. ussing two tracks, making in total 3 legs considering the initial shipping to warehouse. Fees for each item and consolidation not fair. I.e. for a 3.2 kg net weight (excluidng wraping) shipping to Spain I payed 23,4 euros/kg (without custom tax) Similar shipping from Germany is 6 euros/kg, From US 12 to 15 euros/kg

Shipping cost based purely on size and destination. We can see the Carrier you've chosen was Landmark which is a 2-legged service for the package size it cost £48. There are other lower cost and quicker options, direct to Spain which was offered, but was not selected for example DHL Express cost is £33. The weight is 3.8 kg, hence it would have been £8.68 / kg or 10 Euros / kg. Feel free to use our shipping calculator on our website to check and compare the prices. If you have difficulty The price paid for shipping not only includes the transit fees, it includes the use of a UK address, the acceptance, processing, storing and dispatch of your goods including any export documentation required and full customer support for tracked services until delivery. The consolidation fee is fixed and charge per package. The fee is for us to combine multiple packages, which include our staff cost, shipping box, and packing materials. Shipping it separately or as individual package would have cost you significantly more. We offer Premium membership where the consolidation fee is halved and additional shipping discount. All the charges mentioned above are publicly listed on our website for our customer to check the prices and compare before deciding to use our service. Unfortunately my experience with them was not so good. I don't mind paying the fees for combining packages but the UPS fee was a shock. From the US to Ireland would cost $30 but to pay £30 from UK to Ireland is really bad It has been 3 weeks since my package was sent and the tracking message has been repeating daily now since arrival at UPS Ireland on the 12th of May: "Your package is pending release from a non-UPS broker. Contact the non-UPS broker for additional information."There is no contact information. I have written this off as a bad experience

Hi, we are sorry to hear the issue you've encountered. We can see that your package was dispatched from us and the Courier, UPS you selected collected from us the next business day. Shipments can sometimes take longer to get through. Unfortunately, once the consignment leaves our warehouse, it is out of our control as we do not handle the delivery of it in transit. We can only advice you to get in touch with our customer service, and we are more than happy to assist you. Due to the current unprecedented COVID-19 situation and BREXIT, please allow ample time for delivery. This has become quite common with many countries putting in restrictions especially food related items into the EU. We have a number of parcels taking longer than usual for delivery, and some returned due to EU import restrictions. We contacted UPS on 28th May after seeing your review, and they responded to say that the shipment has been released by custom and are still waiting for them to forward the package to the destination facility. We just checked the UPS tracking today and we can see that it has been delivered on 31 May at 9:15 am. We trust that the issue has been resolved. I used Forwardvia 3 times last year and I like to option using Royal mail and local post services but I think that there is a limitation of other providers with a fast delivery! The options available as DHL has a very high cost! I think the platform needs to be improved with more features as visualization of packages, photos, ship calculator, regular alerts when package is becoming overdue , etc

We do offer to ship using budget service like Royal Mail and Landmark Global. Naturally these lower cost options are slower service, which is reflected in the price. Royal Mail is for up to 2 kg and Landmark is up to 30 kg. Any parcel size limits are imposed by the Carriers, which unfortunately outside our control. Each Carrier has a size limit as to what they can accept, we unable to change that. You mentioned few other services, photos, shipping calculator, alert are all available. I ordered Nespresso machine with coffee sleeves. However, I found one sleeve has been opened with one missing pod!!

We are sorry to hear the issue you've encountered. Our service is based on trust and we uphold this strictly. We take pride in what we do and have gained many repeat customers, over 60% who trust our service and regularly uses us to forward goods. It doesn't make sense at all for us to jeorpadise our reputation for one coffee pod? We can see that the package was received with the polybag torn. We uploaded the photos for you to review and recommended repackaging service. Photos are still available in your Dashboard. You did not opt for repackaging, however as a gesture of goodwill we packed your items into a box. We knew very well it would not have survived the journey in the condition that was sent to us. See below for the photos of the box after repackaging, which is a snapshot taken from our CCTV. There is cost of packing which is the cardboard box, packing materials and labour cost, which was provided at no extra charge. These by itself would have cost more than the coffee pod, again it doesn't make sense to open the sleeve and remove a pod. We hope the above clarify the matters. I see that DHL was the cheapest option for shipping this item to your country and feel that we do offer value for money for the service we offer. The price paid for shipping not only includes the transit fees, it includes the use of a UK address, the acceptance, processing, storing and dispatch of your goods including any export documentation required and full customer support for tracked services until delivery. Shipping fees are calculated on the amount of space that your shipment occupies in transit rather than the actual weight, this is called the volumetric weight. The actual weight would only be charged when this was higher than the volumetric weight. I see that for your shipment although weighs 12.6 kg, it volumed out to be 29.8 kg therefore the shipping fees were calculated on the higher volumetric weight. We also offer lower value Landmark, unfortunately they have temporary suspended shipment to your country due to Covid-19. Perhaps you may want to consider this for future shipment when the service resume. Thank you for your feedback on our services and website as well.
