Unfortunately I was underwhelmed by the beef joint I purchased! It was delivered as promised and well packaged and looked good quality! I stored and cooked it, following the instructions provided. However, I found the meat was not as tender and flavoursome as expected and there was a lot of fat! And the meat had a rather strange, slightly unpleasant taint to the flavour! It was disappointing, given that I served it on Christmas day! Fortunately all the 'trimmings' turned out well!

I bought a porchetta and a ham . As a piece of pork, the porchetta was very good. It was tender and produced excellent crackling. As a porchetta, however, I found it disappointing. There was only an occasional small hint of fennel and I could not detect anything more. The ham was good

Very disappointed this year with the quality. The Individual Turkey Parcel was 90% stuffing & hence very little Turkey breast although the flavours were good. My Turkey Leg Ballotine had more meat/stuffing probably 30/70%. Again flavours good but my meat had a fair amount of inedible grizzle/fat/skin? Lastly the Poultry gravy lacked flavour. I haven't tried the Winter Spice Brined Turkey Leg yet.

When I bought the Christmas ham from Farmison, I was hoping to get high quality and a hassle-free cooking experience. It did say "Ready to cook" on the wrapping...so that's what I did. And we ended up with the saltiest Christmas ham I've ever tasted. It was so bad that it burnt in the mouth. The outer parts of the ham were not even possible to eat, and the inner part of it I've frozen. I might be able to replace bacon with that bit of the ham. But it did arrive on time, it was packed properly, so I have no complaints about that. It would've been helpful with some directions regarding soaking the ham in cold water before cooking it to get rid of all that salt though.

I've been a long time subscriber of Farmison and always loved the meet. The staff are incredibly helpful as well. The price has just increased, which is understandable in the current climate, however I've felt for at least the last year that the amount of meat I've been receiving has been getting less and less, for more money. In the last few boxes, some of the beef and pork has been very small, tough and about half of it fat. Starting to consider cancelling I'm afraid

For Xmas 2022 we had a beautiful rib of beef. This year 2023 however I was very unhappy with the bacon wrap turkey galantine. It tasted like processed preserved meat, and not up to the standard of the previous year. I would appreciate your reply about this, particularly because of how expensive it was. . Based on this I would hesitate to recommend your products again.

I wanted to give my sister a gift subscription to the saucepan-ready range, as she no longer cooks. There was supposed to be a range of choices, but at check out it transpired that half of them weren't available - but it didn't specify which half, so it took me a very long time to put an order together by eliminating the items one by one. One of the items I successfully ordered was the meatballs in a rich tomato sauce, which my sister reported contained sauce only, with no meatballs. Rather reluctantly Farmisons sent another pack which did contain meatballs. Such a shame, as this range is a brilliant idea and my sister was very enthusiastic about the other meals. The saucepan-ready range needs a bit more care and attention!

I have judged Farmison on one product because it was so bad. This review relates only to that. Other products have been OK. The product under review is the pork pie described as the best ever. For me, it was the worst. It had a very unpleasant off taste and there were gristly bits in the meat. Those are things never experienced with any other pork pie that I've had. To be fair the pie was "free" if I put in an order to a certain value. However, the pork has to be cooked at home and a sachet of jelly poured laboriously into it. So I wasted electricity, and my time, to cook something that I threw away after tasting. Farmison did offer me a £5 voucher as recompense which I will not be using. The pork pie warranted zero stars but I have added three to balance out the other products that I had.

The meat is fresh and cool when it arrives. Actually last time i thought it had thawed out it was so cold. Delivered on time, the dispatcher could have rang twice, i was almost dismissing the initial noise. I bought some merguez and Toulouse saussages. It is expensive and the merguez not sufficiently spicy. We have not had the Toulouse saussages yet. However it is a change and we like having a merguez with lamb chops that taste lovely, but there is so little meat on them generally, so the merguez give us a bit more meat and fill the pan. The packaging is extensive and must be expensive so it is worth ordering quite a bit.

Unfortunately the duck we received had not been plucked adequately and we had to spend an hour removing feather remnants and quills- once cooked it was excellent but it should not have been supplied in that condition

I love Farmison and always rate the meat highly. I recently ordered the chicken Kyiv. Oh dear what a disappointment very little garlic butter in the fillets. My advice buy the fillets and stuff then with your own butter.

I can’t fault the delivery and packaging but on this occasion the repeat purchase / product in question was not what I had experienced previously. I wouldn’t order again..sorry

Generally products are expensive. Better value and quality can be had at local butchers. Prices must be inflated by expensive cool bags with all collect in store orders.

Great delivery and packaging, but I received an incorrect item (for which I was swiftly refunded for) and the steak wasn’t as “thick cut” as I normally get from a supermarket.

Would give ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If the packaging hadn't been so ridiculous for the size of the product. I can't, with a clear conscience eat well and destroy the world. Please think about it next time. Cheers
