Been using Farmison for years but was disappointed with the sausagemeat Wellington, nice but not as good or as good value as last winter's purchase.

Very disappointed with the cut of the ham. What was displayed online is not what arrived and it required me to purchase another ham elsewhere. On the positive side the quality of the other items I purchased were very good and on that basis I would consider purchasing again from Farmison. I am still very grieved that I have not had a response from Farmison although told they would get back to me and they haven't.

Our Christmas meat order fell way below expectations in quality so that I felt it necessary to write with my feedback to Customer Service. I did not feel that my concerns were then dealt with satisfactorily. I will not be ordering again.

Thanks to dpd, the delivery option chosen by Farmison, our turkey never arrived. Farmison were apologetic and on 2 occasions when I rang, said they would phone the delivery company who would get in touch with a delivery date and time. Nothing happened and I have no idea where my turkey ended up! After Christmas, Farmison offered me a refund and a £15 voucher. Little compensation for the stress caused by Christmas without a turkey!

Products were good, but it’s annoying that the baking instructions are not included in the packaging. You have to go and search for them on the website.

The meat was absolutely delicious. I know a rib of beef is a fatty cut but I felt there was a lot more fat than I was expecting, a few fist sized balls of fat within the roasting joint just seemed too much.

I have always been happy with the meat I ordered from you in the past but I was very disappointed with my most recent order, the venison cushion. I followed your cooking instructions precisely and while the meat had good flavour that was soo tough.

Everything turned up as planned. Taste of the Cote de Bouf was not all that. Lamb rump very similar, ok , but not that great.

Great delivery, and I’m sure it’s good quality meat, however the porchetta that we ordered had barely any seasoning or flavour? Usually when we have ordered from others it is packed full of flavour, garlic, lemon etc. Unfortunately this just tasted like a fatty bit of pork belly and not much else and it wasn’t particularly well rolled either. Sorry!

Great meat. Fabulous quality. Usually delivered on time as requested but the one time I paid for a ‘before midday’ delivery it arrived a day late.

As part of our order we ordered two packs of two Fillet Steaks. One looks really nice & fresh but in the second pack the meat has gone brown. Very disappointed. Keith Clarke

We've used Farmison in the past and never had any issue - the quality is great but my most recent experience wasn't the best. Order placed mid November but delivery was delayed - appreciate this was the fault of the courier rather than Farmison but it meant my order couldn't be fulfilled before Christmas - this wasn't a massive issue as we have a couple of good local butchers but what I found disappointing was that Farmison offered me a 15% discount as an act of goodwill which is a standard discount they offer every year and my refund took over 2 weeks. I'd think twice about using them again in the future.

Well, I gave Farmisons a chance to reply to my query, but they didn't, so this is a review based on my experience. I spent £117 on a Christmas order. It turned up on time - good work there. I bought Cumberland Sausage, Winter Spice Brined Turkey Breast, Ripon Cathedral Half Horseshoe Gammon - Unsmoked, Traditional Pigs In Blankets & Traditional Sausagemeat Stuffing. Pigs in blankets were a bit salty, but ok. Sausagemeat stuffing was nice. Cumberland Sausage also nice. Turkey breast was decently flavoured with a hint of citrus, but was definitely on the salty side. No instructions telling me to soak it or anything, so cooked as per instructions on site. Gammon was almost inedible. It was soooooo salty, despite being soaked. I was really disappointed as I love a nice gammon and was looking forward to it. Lots of it was left over and eventually thrown away. Personally, I've had much better from the local supermarket, I'm sorry to say. I won't be ordering from Farmisons again.

We were extremely disappointed with the presentation of the turkey this year as the feathers hadn't been completely removed & it was impossible for us to get them out. Plus one side had what appeared to be bruising under the skin. At a cost of £81 we expected a better finish. However the turkey was moist & tasty so although didn't look appealing it was edible. I'm not sure if we will be ordering from Farmison this Christmas. We haven't eaten the beef which we also ordered so fingers crossed that won't be as much of a let down as the turkey.

Meat good, when it arrived. Let down by delivery which arrived a day later than promised and too late for the occasion it was planned for. No update from Farmison provided to advise of this.

Service was professional and friendly frist class Derived product as promised. But Frist of all I never write a bad review But the joint of rolled beef the body mass was 75 % fat but the meat was perfect but you don't expect a product that in no way resembling the product advertised from your Web site I wish your business all the best through these challenging times Regards Michael Armstrong

My first order with Farmison. The Beef was excellent, although I would have been really disappointed had it not have been as it was quite a lot more expensive than the other (similar provenance, good quality) beef I have purchased elsewhere. The turkey was disappointing and is not something I would look to purchase again.

The 2.25kg porchetta joint for our Christmas meal was very good quality, tender and tasty - in the end - but there were no cooking instructions with the meat. The Farmison website gives a cooking time of 35 minutes per kg in "roasting the perfect porchetta" for a 2.5kg joint. We rarely eat red meat and I was not sure of the usual time, so I cooked it exactly according to these instructions, then tested it and found it was a bit pink but thought it would cook further while it was resting and while I steamed the veg, but when we carved it, it was raw in the middle. We had to cut it up and put the pieces back in the oven for another half an hour. Christmas dinner was delayed, the veg was soggy with the wait, and everyone was a bit cross. On checking other recipes the cooking time per kg is much more than 35mins. Farmison, you really need to check your website and also provide some written instructions with the meat you send. (And yes, my oven does reach the temperature it says, that was not the issue.)

Food quality is high, and customer service is good (albeit a high wait time). Disappointed to have again had missing items in my Christmas order (last year they forgot the turkey, this year at least was just the pigs in blankets). They really need to pay more attention to what leaves their facility.

My first order from Farmison and mixed reviews. Gravy, both poultry and beef delicious and well worth the money. The Yorkshire pudding mix was very disappointing, would not buy this again. The beef wellington was fine but not better than a cheaper version from Cook.
