Very poor client service Charles Clinkard delivered the incorrect sandals which I posted back on the same day. One week has passed and I have yet to receive the correct order. I sent an email to client service representative but no response received

Ordered,had confirmation,got told delivery courier was trying to deliver but we weren't available however subsequent email said the item was out of stock,so not sure what was being delivered? Terrible service,would not recommend

Glad you asked! I tried to look for shoes in the shop but was soon driven out by the pop musc playing on the loudspeakers. There's no need for music at all and then, to make matters worse, there was a particular pop song that took me staight back about 45 years . This is too much to bear when trying to buy shoes. Badly done, Charles Clinkard.

I am so disappointed that I can no long get children’s shoes in store at the Cribbs Causeway branch of Charles Clinkard. I have a child with exceptionally wide feet and previously we have had to try multiple styles and sizes to find a suitable match. I went into the store to be told I could order children’s shoes on line and if I then took them into store they would check the fit. That really isn’t possible for my child, I would have to order and pay for multiple pairs of shoes up front. No one even offered to measure his feet for me. Not what I would expect from this company and I won’t be using it in future for my children or myself!

As advised, your child can be measured, and our staff are happy to help in finding a suitable shoe by ordering them into store. They can then be tried and returned if necessary. I am still waiting for my shoes ordered on Sat 27th April at Ilkley. having been dispatched and supposedly sent to the designated collection point of Commonside Post Office at Lytham on May 1st ,,,,,,, they were mysteriously supposedily sent back to uou .......!!!!!????? Why no one seemes to know as they were never received there or at my address ..... I await your comment - and the shoes

After having shopped at Charles Clinkard for over 7 years, I was extremely disappointed at the fact I had to pay delivery and then nearly £10 to return sandals. I will NEVER order anything else from your company. NEARLY £15 for the privilege of trying on one pair of sandals is extreme.

Thank you for your review, We have a free delivery service for orders over £40, so there was no delivery charge on your order. With regard to returns, you can take back to a Charles Clinkard store, take to any courier or postal service of choice or buy a label on our website with collect plus. Second class Royal Mail would be around £3.50, our website label is £4.49 and covers up to 10 kilo so several items can be returned at one time. An overnight postal service is more expensive and this may be what you had chosen. I hope that this information helps for future reference. Kind regards, Janice - customer services

We come to clinks for my sons shoes and have done so for 13 years, as you stock the best selection available and as he has wide feet it’s nice to try them on and now to my horror the two local (40 miles away) stores no longer stock children’s shoes and inform me they are only available online! This is such a disappointment as it’s hard enough to find shoes to fit and now I have to play guess the size to see if they will fit or order multiple at my cost to get him a pair to fit and then take take out of my day to return the others. We will be looking elsewhere for shoes now.

I experienced difficulties when dealing with unhelpful staff in customer services, regarding 'price match' in relation to two pairs of 'Gabor' boots, which resulted in me losing out with purchasing them from another seller.

Placed an order made sure I was at home at the time , no parcel . Saw address was wrong so phoned and said , was told they would contact DPD and correct it and would be here next day . Made sure was in at the time stated , still no parcel . So unhappy phoned and cancelled it and asked for a refund . A week later nothing ! Done through PayPal so can see a complaint happening.

I ordered off line boots clearly ex display as very creased and 1 boot was navy as ordered the other was black I spoke to someone on chat they apologised n said would send me a free return label, will definitely not order again

Good quick service- However, I am so disappointed that it cost me to have delivered and cost even more to send back as advised by yourself to pay recorded delivery!! For me this was a complete waste of money!!! Cost me £12 for nothing. I shall not purchase again from this company

Thank you for your review. Our delivery to customers for orders over £40 is free. There was no postage paid for this to be delivered to you. You can take returns back to any Charles Clinkard store where you can return for free, or you can choose any postal service that you wish. Royal Mail second class is the cheapest method, and you can pay just 80p more for tracking, but if you choose signed for next day for example, that would be expensive. There is no need to choose this method, as second class only take 24 hours longer to arrive and we process all returns within 3 working days. There is also a link on our website where for £4.49 you can return up to 10 kilo. This link is to Collect + who have outlets where you can drop off your package, and is a tracked service. I hope that this information is of help should you change your mind and do order again in the future. You also have up to 365 days to return an item so long as unworn. I originally ordered 2 pairs of shoes. One pair was cancelled due to stock issues. The pair that did arrive were clearly worn. I returned these. Upon checking the other shoes that were cancelled were in fact in stock but they had increased in price by £10. I reordered and the customer service said they would refund me the difference so I would only pay the original price. After all this the 2nd order was then cancelled due to stock issues. Will never order from this company again it’s incredibly frustrating. The customer service advisers were good at dealing quickly with enquires.

I ordered a pair of Gabor Nesta in sand, as I already owned a pair of the navy ones and absolutely love them .My order arrived & when I opened the box, immediately I thought these shoes look as if they’ve been sent out before, there was no packaging in the shoes & the tissue was very crunched up, they looked as if the shoes had just been thrown in.Further more on inspection there was a scratch on the right toe, my Daughter who was visiting said, “Mum,these shoes have been worn, there is an indentation of a little toe on the right shoe, also you can see that the bottoms have been wiped over.” I am so annoyed that shoes have obviously worn by somebody before been sent out to me, this is the third time I’ve had shoes delivered by your company, but I’ve had to Return because of the the condition of the shoes on arrival. I Will never order from your company again. It’s just too much hassle returning. It’s difficult to take pictures, as the light reflects too much on the Patent.
