Been sent the wrong shoes sent boots not the shoe ordered hopefully I will get the right shoe in time for school Wednesday

Ordered some sandals arrived ok (Mariella sandals)did not match one was predominately blue and one red. And both sandals had beads missing. Plus you have to pay for returns for faulty shoes Can’t compete with other retailers who offer free delivery and free returns. Clinkards need to up their offering.

With regard to returns if there is a problem or fault, we would not expect the customer to pay postage to send back to us. The shoes ordered were described as wide fit. However, when they arrived they were not any wider than the standard fit. On checking the reviews, others had also found this to be the case. I was disappointed by the customer service received when I contacted them. I was left not only having paid delivery but also having to pay a return fee for shoes which were not as described.

Very disappointed. Ordered a pair of Hotter sandals, hadn't heard anything in a week so phoned to enquire about delay. Lady said she'd look into it and email me. Sure enough an email arrived soon after to inform me that the order had been cancelled due to no stock! I'm still puzzling over why i could order them and have confirmation and then suddenly you have no stock? If I hadn't enquired would I still be waiting for them and no wiser? An email informing me would have been appreciated.

Had to return 2 pairs of school shoes bought online. Took back to Leeds store, return wouldn’t go through as order number wasn’t recognised, after multiple attempts a Manager was required. He also couldn’t do it, he then makes a phone call, is given some instructions and apparently processes the refund. 5 days later still no refund showing in my account. Called customer service who could see my returns but no refund processed. Abysmal customer service in store.

Shoes sent were not the size I ordered. Too big. I would have had to pay postage to return them which is not acceptable. There are no Charles Clinkard shops anywhere near to me but luckily I spend time in Newbury so took them to your shop there. They gave me a refund.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that the shoes that you ordered were the incorrect size. You do not say what you got, but it was the size 5 that was ordered. With regard to returns, if we have made an error, we would not expect the customer to pay postage to return something to us. We have a customer service team here 7 days a week and if there are any problems can resolve these for you. We are sorry that you were unaware of this but pleased that you were able to take back to one of our branches. I hope that you found the return process within store to be satisfactory. I paid for express delivery so that I could give the shoes to my brother before he leaves to Canada however the item arrived after 5 days. Since that was not expected, the delivery came while we were out (again not the time scales Royal Mail had stated) Unfortunately the shoes are no good any more as I couldn’t give it to my brother. I may not see him for a while as he lives in Canada. Poor service

Package was delivered by Royal Mail but label on package was not very clear and went to wrong address tuck a while to locate really annoying but besides that I am very pleased with purchase

I have no issue with Charles Clinkard. Their service is always excellent. However, the shoes I recently purchased are possibly the most uncomfortable I have ever worn. I assumed as the shoes appeared to be made of canvas type material, they would be very comfortable. The first and only time I wore them I experienced blisters and my feet were very sore. I will not be wearing them again.

We do offer a return policy for unworn shoes, to allow people to try items on in the home for comfort before wearing them outdoors. We are sorry to ehar that you wore them outside before you found them to be unsuitable. I've ordered a pair of gold sandals a week ago but haven't received them yet. I've not heard from the company or the courier what's causing the delay An email sent to Charles Clinkard several days ago has.not been acknowledged. I'm still waiting! Don't think I'll buy again.

Ordered & paid for 2 day delivery. After 2 weeks I enquired to be told that I had not put a house number (I had) Offered to be reordered and 3 minutes later had said I would be refunded. Got the refund minus the extra delivery charge I paid for a quicker slot. Not great no shoes and out of pocket!!

I only go to Meadowhall to shop at Clinkards and I have been given a parking ticket for parking in a parent and child bay. The rules were changed last August and very poor signs displayed and when u have a SEN child their safety comes before reading any signs. So I will not be going back to Clinkards again.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that the stock was not available when we came to process your order. In the busy sale period, when stock gets low, we do try to remove it from the website to avoid disappointment, but on this occasion the demand was greater than the supply and we had to cancel your order. We do not take a payment for orders until the point of dispatch if it is a debit/credit card, however with you paying by PayPal, the money was put aside by PayPal until we advised that they needed to refund. Thank you for your review. We are sorry that you were not able to change the delivery. You used PayPal to pay for your order, and under the strict rules of PayPal, we are not allowed to amend the details that the customer puts in. When you use PayPal to complete your order you use a Password. This is to protect you, and to avoid anyone using your account. Because of this, we cannnot amend. We could have cancelled your order and refunded for you, however, it had already been dispatched so we were also unable to do this. We do apologise for your disappointment. The shoes I ordered had been worn, the heels & inside the shoes were dirty & overall looked chubby, they looked like they'd been chucked in the box.

Ordered size 3 shoes. The pair that arrived were more like size 5. I had to send them back for a full refund and pay £6.00 postage.

We do offer a tracked return label on our website for £3.20 with Royal Mail, or you can take them back to any Charles Clinkard store free of charge. I hope that this helps for future reference. I was very disappointed that my order was delivered to pick up point but when I went to collect it, it was nowhere to be found. Eventually the store manager at the pick up point went through CCTV footage and discovered DPD had picked up item again (it was supposed to be left there for several more days). I could not make contact with DPD but eventually able to call Charles Clinkard. The helpful customer service made enquiries and contacted me by email. Unfortunately DPD would. Ot send the parcel back to the pick up point! At this point I cancelled my order and asked for a refund as I wanted the shoes for a particular event and they would not reliably arrive on time before I went away. I do not think that DPD should be used if they are so unreliable. The store manager where they were left said that the DPD delivery drivers frequently pick up the items again even when they should remain as this way they earn more money. Jack in customer service was helpful and understanding however and I have received my refund

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that you have had this problem with DPD. We do not have our own courier and use DPD and Royal Mail. Usually DPD is very reliable and we are sorry to hear that on this occasion they let you down. You can let us know your order number and opt for Royal Mail if you prefer in the future, but this would be a delivery to your home and not to a collection store. Very chunky , too heavy boots . My size 3 feet looked huge ! I also found these tan ankle boots staggering £67 ! Cheaper on the Hush Puppy website so i returned them to store .
