I paid for next day delivery as it was a gift. It didn’t arrive for 3 days and now I have to pay to return it. Not ideal

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. I'm sorry that your order didn't arrive when expected. I've looked into this and despite us dispatching your order within the promised timeframe, Royal Mail took longer than they should have to deliver it. It was sent on a 24 hour service so should have been with you on Saturday 19th October. Gabor Balm was described as wide but was far too narrow! I bought Gabor wide fit boots last year and they were a perfect fit. These are not wide fitting boots! Please make them wider again.

Received a worn pair of dirty shoes. With blood stains in them. Looks like it's from a blister. I feel sick and disgusted. What's disgusting is customer service said send them back we can send you out a new pair. Not good enough. I don't live close to a post shop. I'm a full time high school teacher and Mum. These should have been thrown in the bin and a refund automatically given. I'm a new customer and have also bought 2 new pairs of boots. But receiving these have completely put me off making any more purchases from you. Blood stained dirty used shoes. Should be ashamed that these where not checked on return and not checked when sending out. I did post them this morning looking forward to my refund of the shoes and compensation for wasting my valuable time.

I would like to send a really big THANK YOU To Yvette and her team!! They went far beyond the call of duty spending at least half an hour resurfacing my wife’s new Rieker boots which I had damaged with an old waterproofing spray. We have always found the staff at Clinkards very helpful and friendly but the help and expertise I received was outstanding. Thank you so much. Jonathan Nottingham

Very disappointed the shoes were never received. No delivery ever attempted first I knew was they said i had an email that my returns had been received. 2 days after I ordered. Been unable to order again as there is no stock available.

Bought two pairs of Gabor items recently one pair of shoes £125 and the others were ankle boots £135. They were supposed to be leather but both pairs looked synthetic and extremely cheap. Really disappointed in the quality of the Gabor shoes you source. This isn’t the first time I have ordered Gabor shoes/boots and felt disappointed by quality which now appear to be an inferior product and for the price this is shocking! I will not be using CK again unfortunately.

It may be the patent look that was not to your taste? We are the largest supplier of Gabor shoes in the UK and also have licence to run the Gabor Website, so you will see the same items on there too. There are many other brands available on the Charles Clinkard website should you decide to try a different brand, however if you do go elsewhere, we do hope that you find what you are looking for. I can see that delivery was attempted twice and then returned to sender. We did ask if you would like a re-delivery or refund and you opted for refund which has been actioned. The shoes took longer to arrive than I was expecting which was disappointing but not as bad when I opened the box to find pre worn shoes well marked on the soles of both shoes and grubby looking inside the shoe. They were not nicely packed in the box with tissue I’m sure no one could possibly have checked them before dispatch. They are in transit back to Charles Clinkard.

Very disappointing service, I paid for a speedy delivery rather than the standard 3-5 days only to be told that it still takes up to 3 days for the shoes to be picked and dispatched.

Was told there were a wide fit they were not was told they had removeble insole they were they weren’t and I rang and spoke to someone having pulled out the insole then to find they were not a wide fit very disappointed so I bought a new pair of insoles and gave them to a charity shop won’t be using you again cost £ 60 pounds

Ordered some sandals arrived ok (Mariella sandals)did not match one was predominately blue and one red. And both sandals had beads missing. Plus you have to pay for returns for faulty shoes Can’t compete with other retailers who offer free delivery and free returns. Clinkards need to up their offering.

The shoes ordered were described as wide fit. However, when they arrived they were not any wider than the standard fit. On checking the reviews, others had also found this to be the case. I was disappointed by the customer service received when I contacted them. I was left not only having paid delivery but also having to pay a return fee for shoes which were not as described.

Very disappointed. Ordered a pair of Hotter sandals, hadn't heard anything in a week so phoned to enquire about delay. Lady said she'd look into it and email me. Sure enough an email arrived soon after to inform me that the order had been cancelled due to no stock! I'm still puzzling over why i could order them and have confirmation and then suddenly you have no stock? If I hadn't enquired would I still be waiting for them and no wiser? An email informing me would have been appreciated.

Had to return 2 pairs of school shoes bought online. Took back to Leeds store, return wouldn’t go through as order number wasn’t recognised, after multiple attempts a Manager was required. He also couldn’t do it, he then makes a phone call, is given some instructions and apparently processes the refund. 5 days later still no refund showing in my account. Called customer service who could see my returns but no refund processed. Abysmal customer service in store.

Shoes sent were not the size I ordered. Too big. I would have had to pay postage to return them which is not acceptable. There are no Charles Clinkard shops anywhere near to me but luckily I spend time in Newbury so took them to your shop there. They gave me a refund.

With regard to returns, if we have made an error, we would not expect the customer to pay postage to return something to us. I paid for express delivery so that I could give the shoes to my brother before he leaves to Canada however the item arrived after 5 days. Since that was not expected, the delivery came while we were out (again not the time scales Royal Mail had stated) Unfortunately the shoes are no good any more as I couldn’t give it to my brother. I may not see him for a while as he lives in Canada. Poor service

Package was delivered by Royal Mail but label on package was not very clear and went to wrong address tuck a while to locate really annoying but besides that I am very pleased with purchase
