My flowers were delivered to a family member with a new baby without no note of card. For a few weeks I wanted to know if they'd arrived so I called Appleyard and was told there was no way to know if they'd been delivered. I eventually asked my family member if they had received any flowers from me and for all that they'd been wandering who the random bunch of flowers were from. Not a great first impression.

Poor value, looked cheap. Royal Mail wouldn't leave flowers on doorstep or with neighbours. Won't use again.

We bought these flowers for a colleague who was off sick. We were drawn to pick these flowers as they looked vintage and although they were more expensive than other websites picture made them look stunning. However even though we bought the small bouquet (and was aware some of the pictures showed the large bouquets) we were thoroughly disappointed to see the lack of flowers and folage for the amount we spent. I will not be using this company again

My original order, to a friend in Covent Garden, did not reach her for two days because the box was left my the mailboxes of her apartment building, and got kicked out of sight. No card was put into her mailbox to alert her to the fact that flowers had been delivered. In the end, I had to tell her that I had sent flowers to her. By the time that she discovered them, they were several days old, and not fresh. You offered to replace them - or to deliver a bouquet to another recipient instead, and to give a full refund. As I had already arranged to take her out to dinner as a gift, in place of the flowers, I asked you to kindly send the second bouquet to my elderly parents, to mark their birthday. i went to their house on Sunday, a day after the delivery was made, and saw the flowers. I would describe these as a modest posy, not a bouquet, and certainly not £55-worth of flowers. I feel reluctant to order with you again, as I cannot guarantee, without seeing the order in person, that a substantial-enough bouquet for the money spent will be sent. i am sure that you can understand this predicament! With all good wishes Lesley-Ann Jones www.lesleyannjones.com

I have had flower from appleyard twice before and called to say how fab they were. So I ordered some for my daughter, what a disappointment they were thrown together and by the second day a third of the flowers were tired and limp the roses had turned brown. I

The flowers were pretty, however even though i ordered a large bouquet, it was still quite small. The worst thing was that my message was cut off, my name was not on the card!!!!

I ordered extra large and was disappointed as when the recipient sent me pictures, no way did it look extra large but it looked small. I felt I was ripped off.

I ordered a birthday gift for my daughter and when the package arrived it had no personal greeting, it had not been included. Leaving her wondering you had in fact send the gift....pretty disappointing.

Credit card functionality isn't working. I've tried probably 10 times on two different browsers on two different internet connections. So instead I've had to pay another 50p to use Paypal. Disappointing first experience with your website.

I ordered from Appleyard Flowers having received a bouquet myself from a friend which was lovely. I ordered the flowers and was offered a size larger for free which I opted for but then I decided to go even larger because I was giving them to my mum to say thanks for looking after my children for 9 years. When I went to my mum's house I was very disappointed that the bouquet was very small even though I went for the largest size possible. It was a little bit of a let down if I am honest.

The flowers received looked nothing like the flowers on the website, a very poor effort - very pathetic. However, customer service was excellent offering a replacement (yet to be delivered so cannot comment on the replacement) and a refund.

Very disappointed. My daughter in law said the peony feel apart when she picked it up, and when I visited three days after their delivery the rosebuds were brown and shrivelling up and the bouquet looking very tired. She said the delivery and presentation were very beautiful, but thought there probably wasn't enough water in the container for the number of flowers. These flowers weren't cheap and I spent some time deciding on who to choose to buy from so next time will go back to the tried and tested. What a shame.

I cannot comment as I did not see the flowers, but my family said they didn't feel they looked that good and as they was for a funeral, the packaging was not acceptable.

Although the flowers were beautiful they arrived late and at a very inconvenient time. When I phoned the helpline to request a refund under the Appleyard guarantee I was told on the phone I was entitled to a full refund (as per the guarantee on the website) but was only subsequently refunded the £5 postage costs. Feel very let down in both the delivery and customer service.

Quality of flowers was poor, roses were already wilting on delivery. All other flowers had died within 4 days. Thought that for a large bouquet it was on the small side as well. Overall not impressed.

Firstly I chose Appleyards as they had a 25% discount code and I was sending 2 plants to members of our group who had recently had surgery - my funds were limited so the discount attracted. The web site was difficult to send multiple orders but eventually I managed to order two together I persevered with this in order to have the discount from both. The website would not accept my code! I used your expensive telephone call to speak to an unhelpful girl who informed it was my servers fault and there was no way she could apply the code manually. I had already spent considerable time on this so went ahead. Both plants were delivered to different names at one address! Another expensive phone call told me it was my fault - nothing they could do! Never again!
