“Terrible, avoid at all costs! First off, they moved only half the items I paid for. They also damaged a newly renovated kitchen & then refused to compensate me for any of the damage. I’ll be referring them to the relevant Ombudsman.”

“HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! AVOID IF POSSIBLE!!! The movers asked me to remove a protective layer of wrapping around a credenza to see if it would make it lighter (it didn't). They then turned it upside down and used a dowel post to rotate it, causing irreparable damage to the veneer in multiple places. They then rammed the credenza into my heating unit, deeply denting the metal housing. The movers at no time notified me about the damage that was caused. The credenza was the last item to be unloaded, and it was trollied in and unloaded at an angle that concealed the damage to the top. After it was unloaded I watched at a distance while the movers were looking at the top of it, but thought nothing of it until I saw the damage after they had left. It is now clear that they saw the damage and tried to hide it. I also chose the size of the storage unit based on the size of the large pieces of furniture to be moved. I have a 35 square foot unit, but without the credenza I would only need a 30 foot unit. As a result, I'm now paying to store a piece of furniture that has lost all value as I do not have the time/resources to change to an alternate unit at such short notice. I will also need to pay someone to dispose of it on my return to the UK, as it's resale value is effectively nothing at this time as the cost of repairing the veneer and legs is in excess of its value.. This negligence is going to cost me well over 1000 pounds to rectify. When I contacted Anyvan about the damage, they informed me that they will only cover up to 100 pounds for the damage to the credenza (I paid 1200 for it). When I asked about the heating unit damage, they offered me a 20 percent discount because I might be lying and that the damage could have been pre-existing. This despite multiple witnesses that the units were undamaged prior to the mover's arrival, and a dent that watches the damage on my credenza. I am rejecting their offer and exploring other legal avenues. If you value your sanity and your possessions, please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.”

“Racist, sexist, lazy, turned up with no boxes or bubble-wrap, shockingly ''wrapped'' items in grubby blankets only and extorted hundreds of pounds out of a window who had overpaid them already. I intend to take legal action on her behalf. I have moved dozens of time, here and overseas and never witnessed such criminal behaviour - they even said they could not put in an ''extra'' couple of rugs (which were not extra they had simply not boxed them) by telling her the Police would stop them for ''theft'' if they did. What a bunch of soul-less cowboys. Avoid at all costs”

“The guys were excellent - showed up earlier than planned (but let me know in plenty of time - it was a much more convenient time for me, so I was happy). They lifted my furniture up two flights of stairs like they were wearing their civilian clothes whilst living a secret life as the actual Hulk. Incredible.”

“Only giving 1 star because I can't leave 0. Awful company. Both guys smoking weed, stolen an item from us worth over 1300£. One lad was on tag and had to leave the job early so he didn't get contacted by the police. One day job turned into 2. Items that was arranged to be built wasn't built.”

“Awful company. I booked a van for a small moving, about 6 cubic meters. Driver arrived with a 7 meters long van, basically a ferry, that could not fit into my secured parking. The rubbish van enter with no problem. AnyVan not only could not find me another driver for the same day, but force me to pay 100 gbp rebooking fee + 50% surcharge for any additional item I wanted to add to the booking. So basically my move was postponed by 1 day with high distress and on top I had to pay extra for a service that was not required as a small van would have made the job. On top, the driver was so rude, already complaining he was late for the next booking while you book for a 2 hours slot. I eded you paying 500gbp for a small move, the same as more reliable companies would charge. AVOID AT ALL COST”

“I booked a move for an accessible two bed flat, destination half a mile away; they charged me £250 which I accepted even though double the cost of their competitor. I tried to edit my booking to add a couple of extra items but because I was within the cancellation window (I was about 30 hours from move time) they charged an extortionate uplift to add a few extra items. I ended up cancelling at a cost of half my fee and getting someone else who still ended up cheaper even considering the cancellation cost. Should also add that despite advertising as a man with a van they intended to send women for the move - not a problem but bear in mind if you have heavy goods. DO NOT RECOMMEND.”

“They quoted me and charged me to transport a kingsize mattress and then when they came to collect they said it was too heavy. The mattress item was listed on their site as a standard item and there was not request to provide a weight for the mattress. They have now refused to refund me charging £327. I have spent a long time on their customer support calls and chats and they are trying to make out that it was my fault.”
