After arranging everything, and initially paying, the communication fell apart. They did not update my inventory that was sent through in line with their processes - it wasn't acknowledged or processed, resulting in an additional payment on the day of pick up. Just wanting everything sorted I paid and thought I can deal with this later This was the first of a number of surprises and poor communication. The collection guys were great. Speedy and polite. However, after that it all went - and is still going - wrong. My belongings are still in storage. Despite asking for release and giving the date of "redelivery" when I booked the service, confirming that on the day of pick up, and sending a message to confirm within the 72 hour window. The 72 hours notice makes no sense, which I have pointed out several times. Any time before 72 hours is notice, and if you've arranged "redelivery", as they call it, when booking the service why do you need to arrange redelivery again?! I'm yet to have an answer. It's now been well over 72 hours since I requested "the release" of my possessions and I've had false promises of phone calls, "top priority" assurances, and currently the main office don't know where my belongings are, claiming that "the driver has checked out" my items. Something the driver denies and they have told me that the issue is payment. I have spent most of the day I was expecting my delivery acting as a go between AnyVan employees or sub-contractors; it's difficult to figure out what their model is other than incohesive. Delivery was offered - off an entire house-worths of possessions to a quiet residential street expected in the morning - "some time after 11pm", which whilst the effort to get from Birmingham to the north east in a few hours is appreciated, isn't feasible, would not endear me to my new neighbours, and is slightly sketchy from a noise complaint standpoint given the 11pm to 7am nature of those. An initially surprising, affordable good service that rapidly led to an anyvan admitted "shambles". At this moment, and it's a cliché for sure, but I would give 0 stairs if it was an option.

I chose this company because it was cheaper than the others and it had very good reviews. Although they came a little later than I expected, they told me in advance about this and I am happy with the service and the cost. Marcel and his colleage did a good job.

Will never use again, don’t recommend this company, polite but unhelpful.very poor timekeeping. Go to a professional house removal company if moving house. Would only suggest this company for single or 2 or 3 items. Drivers very polite. Expensive and they put jobs out to drivers to bid on. They don’t actually have vans of their own.

Good service. I contacted then at short notice and they were very good. It would be better if they could come out assess the content as being under stress to move and having to account for all the content in order to get the right size truck can be challenging. I was not able to itemise everything and the size truck became an issue. The driver and coworker was amazing, professional, courteous and patient. I would use them again. Thank you

One of the most miserable experiences. Moving is already such a stressful event which was not made any easier by this company. Almost 3 hours late to pick up belongings, then several more hours of zero communication just to be told finally, I’d have to wait another 2 hours for delivery. Pick up time booked for 11am-12pm (paid extra to get a specific time slot) but was actually nearly 3pm and expected delivery time is now between 7-8pm. It’s an hour and a half drive between each home. An absolutely exhausting day which also meant I missed a family members birthday night out. So deeply disappointed.

Avoid at all costs. Drivers don't turn up. Nothing works. Money are charged and not refunded.

Booked & paid for car transport a week in advance & the day before I was told they could not collect from the garage during opening times. I would then be charged another £200 to re-book. So I cancelled & lost the full amount as they say you do not get a refund if less than 24 hours. This is a rip off as they could have phoned and arranged the collection days before. Best to avoid.

When booking, we allow customers to select a collection window that suits them, but it’s important that this slot falls within the operating hours of the collection location. In this case, the window selected ran past the garage’s closing time, which meant no one was available on site for the handover. We tried to schedule the collection for 5pm based on the original information provided, but unfortunately, this still fell outside the garage’s hours. While this wasn’t an error on our side, we completely understand how inconvenient this must have felt. Context: I paid for the Premium Packing Package, location for my move was a town in the Midlands, from a 1-bed to a 2-bed. Being able to change the date within 48 hours? Online quoting? Competitive pricing and price match guarantee? Sounds too good to be true! Well you know what they say about that, but for those who don't, (say it with me now) if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. The first red flag was the online inventory form. Not that detailed and very basic. For instance, I have an inbuilt wardrobe so I didn't select that, but I had clothes that needed packing - I couldn't see a way of inputting this on the form. Also on the form you have to guess how many large, medium, and small boxes you'll need. To me, this is mostly a guess, but be warned, if you underestimate and need to fill more boxes, prepare to get your wallet out for more boxes (almost £180 for enough boxes). Now I didn't sign up immediately, and did my due diligence and checked TrustPilot. Majority great reviews, fantastic. A few days go by and I was called by a sales team member from AnyVan. I was told all the good things, and given a price for the Premium Package. Went over the inventory making sure I got it right, even added more boxes just in case. I had a quote from a more local moving company which was lower - I mentioned this. Yes! The price match guarantee! Or is it? I got the same price plus £100. "You know what?" I thought, I like the sales person, and the fact I can change dates within 48 hours is worth £100, especially when you don't know the move date for certain yet. Deal, but I won't pay anything else (surely...). The day of the move arrives. I booked it for 8-9am and three movers arrive at 10am. Late, but okay, it won't take longer than three hours to move me out and no more than two hours to move me into my new place surely? Well actually it took EIGHT hours. These were the slowest movers I could ever imagine. This, they explained, was because of a job the day before and the travel involved, they only had an hours sleep each. This is ridiculously unsafe, but employment law doesn't mean toffee in their case because they (as well as all the other movers with AnyVan) are subcontractors. And it sounds like they're treated pretty poorly (if they don't accept a job and AnyVan can't find a replacement, the subcontractors who cancelled are financially penalised). It's also the subcontracted movers who hold the insurance on the items in the van not the company AnyVan. Speaking of insurance, the plug of my television ended up being bent out of shape, which means I need to do some unwanted electrical DIY to fix it. Do I dare ask AnyVan about insurance for this item? This is one of the multiple times when unpacking I noticed no care or attention was paid to mine and my wife's belongings, at all. An already stressful day of moving home was made even more stressful with a long moving out and moving in process. The only way to describe it is people helping you move who have never done it before or even imagined how to do it before. I can only recommend not to use AnyVan or give them any time, because I ended up paying an extra £200 (no real price match) and it was all just so slow. I have nothing good to say, apart from well done on the marketing and the smoke and mirrors that I fell for. TLDR: - No real price match guarantee - Hidden costs (walk greater than 20m from property to van, prepare to pay more) - Might be very slow priced - It was like they had never done this before in their life - No care or attention taken by AnyVan movers - Very heavy handed, broke my television plug, broke a lamp, broke a small picture frame.
