“What a great way to locate spare car parts! Delighted with my purchase of a car bonnet through 1st Choice. Having rung those people who contacted me I was able to make my decision on who to use. It was a reasonable price (cheaper than the garage quote) and was delivered, very well wrapped, within a few days. My garage then replaced my dented bonnet with my purchase, which matched perfectly, and now my car looks like new again!”
“I recently purchased an engine from one of your recommended supplier, quick inspection of the engine upon arrival while courier was there looked ok, removed my old engine and started to swap the parts over only to find there was a difference with the timing cover, I spoke with one of the colleague who spoke with his boss and he agreed to credit me £100 to swap all that over too, but on removal of the cover I found the alternator bracket broken too and I was immediately back onto the company again with no joy, I messaged the supplier but still no reply, I had to pay for the alternator bracket to be alloy welded to complete the repairs on the car.”

“Beware - 1st Choice Spares have absolutely no control over their suppliers. I added a precise search for a part and the supplier (Sunrise) sent me a part for the wrong model. I asked them to arrange a return but the supplier said that I had to pay for the return which, apart from being against consumer law, is annoying! I asked 1st Choice to intervene and they told me that they have no control over their suppliers - this seems like a problematic business model for customers but a very appealing one for supplies who do not care about customer service or consumer law. I've finally received my refund two weeks later and the only crumb of comfort was 1st Choice refunded me the return postage after my ongoing rant with them and probably because they realise how poor it is that they have no ability or appetite to effectively manage their 'supply partners'.”

We do need to communicate with both parties in any dispute, and this can take time with some to-ing and fro-ing.
Control of a legally separate entity can be problematic, so in order to expedite matters we arranged the postage refund. Thank you for sticking with this and apologies for the less than optimum experience on this occasion.

“Fast quotes but pricing difficult; request 3 different items and all resulted in a wealth of quotes withing an hour or so, but in each case the quotes were all about the same price, like a minimum price cartel was operating. Plus, one item (a windscreen washer pump) was quoted at about £43 in nearly all cases, but I bought the item new one for just £18..... I know Delivery and Vat have to be added, and dismantling in some cases, but it presents a financial challenge when the whole point of searching is to try to get a cheaper price than dealers etc. Service was prompt and purchased items did work ok. “Requested a quote for a spare part. Within a day received several quotes. Choose one and contacted the seller. Initially had trouble in getting through (in contact) with the supplier but after a couple of phone calls over a day or two which included the weekend managed to confirm the part was the one I required went on line to 1st choice and purchased the part. Received part in post two days later. Now fitted and working well.”
