“Company sent me what seemed like a good quote. Asked for pictures to check that it was for the correct side of the car. Got pictures. Confirmed purchase based on this. Got a call to say the part was for the other side of the car and I needed to pay 30% more. Almost approved this additional cost but was told as the last minute it was damaged. Requested a refund 14 days ago and still not received it. Contacting my credit card company for an indemnity claim. Really dodgy dealing.”

“The experience in dealing with the dismantler (that responded to my request for a spare part) was ok, but just a bit uninformative regarding timescales for posting and delivery. Their invoice was incorrect (I was charged £192.50, but their invoice was for £167.50), with little information on it.
On the other hand, 1st Choice's part was to pass my request out to about 150 dismantlers around the country, and that appeared to have worked.”
“First time I've used them - to source a 12 year-old manual gearbox for a petrol Skoda Fabia. Sent my details and quickly got nine quotes from around the UK. I went with Silverlake Autoparts, who were not the cheapest but were very professional and gave a six month guarantee. Mike Fitzgerald at Silverlake was excellent - very efficient in identifying the correct part, sending photos and giving me the mileage usage for the part, with photographic evidence. I would not hesitate to use this service again and recommend to family and friends.”
“Ordered a subframe for my Evoque and 1st Choice asvised that they had a few but would send the best of the bunch. the unit that they sent was in very good condition for it's age & miles better than the crusty old unit that it is replacing!!

“I ordered a bumper on the 6th and paid in full after being told it would be dispatched on the 9th and delivered on the 11th. After contacting the number provided, I was informed it had not been dispatched and was told to contact 1st Choice instead, which was unhelpful. I was also promised a tracking number that never arrived. The price was later increased from the original quote without proper explanation. Poor communication and delays have made this a very disappointing experience.”
