“Ok - had a quote for the part I needed. Rang the supplier and talked through the specifics - I also sent him pics of the part I was looking to replace. I was told that, because the headlight had an electric adjustment motor, I would need to pay an extra £25.
When the part arrived, it had no motor, so I had paid extra for nothing.
Been in touch with the supplier a few times, but can never get to actually speak - voice messages keep telling me it is easy to replace the motor with my old one. He is missing the fact that he already charged me extra for a part with a motor.
I will probably go elsewhere next time.”

“All was going swimmingly, when I found the seatbelts I needed for my car, payed what they asked for. “They are excellent in generating a supply of used parts to consider. The first occasion worked well. The latest was a disappoitment. I was told by the supplier Automotive Parts NW ltd that the door shell was undamaged and in particular did not need painting. When it was unpacked it had deep scratches that would not buff out. The conclusion the unpacker came to was that it has been packed poorly and was probably dmaged in transit. Automotive parts would not respond to my request for some credit against the full price I had paid for an undamaged part. It left a nasty taste in my mouth.”

“A bit slow to deliver,but it did come. It wasn't a 100 percent.the gearbox sprocket measured on mine is 20mm and yours is 23mm,so I had to buy swap the new clutch I purchased for a 23 mm one”

“Ordered a part through first choice from a garage called foreign cars based in birmingham.. first choice were okay to deal with but had to send part back and get a refund as foreign cars were a total headache to deal with.. they lied about when id receive my part and when I rang to chase it up they were very rude and accused me of lying .. I have used 1st choice in past and have had a good experience with them but this time I was not happy with the garage that I had to deal with that work with 1st choice”

If after checking your emails or texts, you do not receive many quotes first time round, it's likely your parts were not available on that day.
With over 150 Breakers nationwide however, between them they are processing literally hundreds of additional vehicles every day.
So if you have not found the parts you need, you can log back into the site and re-send your request automatically.

“I had no problems with 1st Choice spares. They sourced the part I needed quickly. However, the company they linked me to, were not so good. I paid for part and was told it would be with me in a couple of days. I never received it and after a week I noticed they had refunded me and not told me. Instead of the business vehicle being off the road for a couple of days, it ended being of the road 14 days. All lost income. 1st Choice spares need to review companies it delas with.”

“The experience in dealing with the dismantler (that responded to my request for a spare part) was ok, but just a bit uninformative regarding timescales for posting and delivery. Their invoice was incorrect (I was charged £192.50, but their invoice was for £167.50), with little information on it.
On the other hand, 1st Choice's part was to pass my request out to about 150 dismantlers around the country, and that appeared to have worked.”
“Been a couple of weeks since I paid for the gear box but no sign of it as yet. I emailed a few days ago for an update, but there's been no reply. All a bit disappointing .”
