“Sausages v tasty. Still to try mutton and salt beef. However, the latter was significantly underweight (880g not 1kg as advertised - not within reasonable discrepancy, in my view) hence three stars rather than four or five.”

“Bought a selection from your shop to try a taste of each meat. Having been buying from another online butcher I thought I would give you a try. Order and delivery were fine. I will report on each product as I get to them.”

“My order never arrived due to it being "perishable"!!! had full refund very quickly, hence 3 stars, but not impressed with delivery system. The order had been in Bradford, Hinckley and then sat almost 12 hours in Lincoln. I did not think the comment from you that "DPD is usually so reliable" or words to that effect was really much help to me as I then had to rethink the dinner I had invited people to in order they should try out this marvellous new supplier! Maybe I'll try again but not sure.”

“Only tried the cote du Boeuf so far, although the meat was tender it was not as tasty as we expected,or compared to other suppliers we have used.”

“I ordered this to be delivered on my Dad's birthday and it arrived I think 2 days late. I felt pretty secure that the website required a specific date for delivery but that didn't seem to make a difference in the end. Also, the initial email I received about this was completely unapologetic. So not great.”

“Service and delivery you can’t fault. I did have a shoulder of mutton which was only £2 less than a lamb shoulder so £33. I cooked it really well, low and slow for about 5 hours. Sadly it was tough as old boots so I won’t be buying that again!”

“The lamb mince, bacon and centre fillet were excellent. I was, however, disappointed with the amount of fat and sinew on the beef cheeks. When I have purchased these previously from other butchers the sinew had been removed.”

“The lamb that we had was delicious ,wonderful flavour . The ribeye steak was very good aswell. But unfortunately the pork chops we had were incredibly poor quality for the money that we paid. Very disappointed . I think we’ll be going back to farmison for our pork .”

“Delivery and packing was excellent. We were disappointed with the lamb rack as there was so much fat and bone and not much meat. Equally the sirloin steak on the bone was disappointing by the time the fat and bone had been cut off after cooking the meat was tasty but small. The Barnsley chops were a highlight - best lamb chops we've had for years and we live in Wales !”
