“This is amazing quality meat and it is excellent to know its provenance. We've had the flat iron steak a few times now and it just melts. No need for steak knives at all. Everything is so tasty, not like grotty supermarket meat plumped up with water or milk. It doesn't shrink when cooking either. Absolutely everything we have had has truly been outstanding. The only thing we have noticed is that the packets of liver do leak slightly. It doesn't affect the quality at all but it did mean I couldn't reuse the cardboard packaging or box. In a pristine state it is really good as insulation for half hardy plants. Keep up the good work Swaledale. Recommending you to everyone.”

“Hi, so far I cannot rate this so recent order as we buy to freeze and are only cooking half the beef today. Two things do come to mind though. Although the bacon is flavoursome it tends to shrink rapidly, is this because there is water injected to make it look and feel more than it actually is? Secondly Swaledale did manage to send out a part order, missing out two items! However, customer services were very quick to correct this ommission for which Dawn in Customer Service should be commended for.”

“I love that I can get offal and chicken carcass along with my joints, and mince. The meat is very tasty, well kept and really not as expensive as some on line butchers, and a million times better than supermarkets. I like to eat a bit less, but better quality meat, I like cooking and it's important to me to be able to get cuts that are not readily available. Their whole animal ethos is perfect for people who want to cut waste! Delivery and packaging is good also.”
