About Mountain Dog:

Mountain Dog are proudly the UK's Premier Dog Outfitter.
Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

Today we have now served well over 150,000 customers and our business, whilst still small and family focused, occupies over 5000 square feet and is full of amazing dog products for the active and not so active pup alike.

We are proud to be a leading independent partner of world class brands such as Ruffwear, Dog Copenhagen, Kurgo, Kong, Non-stop dogwear, K9 Sport Sack, Rukka, ChuckIt!, Kong, EzyDog and many more.

These quality brands are all complemented by a full range of dog care accessories and our own brand of food, accessories and treats.

Based in beautiful Northumberland our business sells on-line and at major dog events throughout the country such as Crufts.

Customer service, fast delivery, providing quality items, timely advice and all with a smile is at the heart of everything we do. We dont get it right all the time but this is always our objective.

“Good selection, great quality, often cheaper than anywhere else and quick delivery… …my only criticism, while delivery is free returns are £3.99, so far ok, however if you pack multiple orders together you still get charged the delivery for each order. My lesson is that I will only purchase what I am pretty sure I want and not multiple choices.”

With regards to returns, we are a small business in which we are simply not able to make the Margine in regard to offering free returns. We have had to take into account the cost of living rising which has caused increase in Mountain Dog HQ's bills including standard carriage charges. “Very quick delivery, good customer communication. The ruffwear frontrange harness is really good as it don’t restrict movements or the joints. Very pleased with it, would be better if it was cheaper but if that affects quality well leave as is.”

“Probably OK if used on a chihuahua. Hopeless on my springer spaniel. He easily bottoms out the elastic so it's not absorbing the shock.”

“I brought this for my dog to take her camping, she's a rescue and unsure of new things but is getting used to having the top layer draped over her as it's nice and warm! Ideally, more padding in the bottom would be good but I do think it's a great bit of kit for the price!”

“Have bought from Mountain Dog online twice now, both times for their range of Ruffwear harnesses for my Whippet and Jack Russell dogs. Their website is clearly laid out, easy to use and the harness prices were the cheapest around (from a reputable supplier). My orders arrived on time and were well packaged.”

“The product is great and it is easy to buy, the sizing was unusual. The worst aspect was returns, no free return, and then you have to reorder the new size and it means if you have used an offer to make the product affordable you loose the discount, to get the product that fits. This would make me question buying from mountain dog again”

“I bought the Ruff Wear Web Master Harness after seeking advice from Mountain Dog chat regarding getting a harness that our beautiful rescue border collie couldn't escape from. So pleased to say it really does prevent him from escaping when something 'spooks' him and he wants to be off. Very grateful for the advice and the harness which fits well, is comfortable and looks good. It's not often I say 'worth every penny' but I do in this case.”
