About Mountain Dog:

Mountain Dog are proudly the UK's Premier Dog Outfitter.
Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

Today we have now served well over 150,000 customers and our business, whilst still small and family focused, occupies over 5000 square feet and is full of amazing dog products for the active and not so active pup alike.

“I found what I was looking for very easily and it arrived within a few days. I'd measured my dog in a cordance with the sizing guide, bought a coat to match and hoped it would be ok. Unfortunately, the coat was way too big and I requested a return. I was surprised to learn that I would be covering the cost of return postage and that my refund would not include my original cost of shipping. I appreciate returns are inconvenient for online businesses, but I've had better return experiences with other online retailers. Most cover your return cost and send out replacements free of charge. The returns T&C's need to be looked at because I'm pretty sure they are not in-line with distance selling regulations. I accepted the refund, minus the cost of my original shipping, but I don't see why I wasn't refunded in full. I followed the sizing guide, measured my dog appropriately and I'm £10 worse off as a result. I will check return policies in future!”

We're sorry to hear the coat you bought didn't work for your dog. the good news is that all our sizing guides use sizing provided by the manufactures and are correct to the garments/items we sell. Alas, like with items for ourselves not everything works for everyone so we can never be 100% that an item will suit until it meets a dog. Different shape dogs/breeds of our best furry friends will fit a coat differently to each other. Rest assured our returns policy is in-line with distance selling rules. “We bought dog coats, towels, a Kong toy and a training pouch. All of the items are good quality and were sent out promptly. However, the parcel was dispatched using Royal Mail 48 hour tracked and this was abysmal. The parcel was sent by Royal Mail from the local centre to the wrong depot and then had to be resent to another depot in a different part of the country before it could be sent to our local delivery centre. What should have been a 48 hour service, ended up being a 6 day service. A different courier would be better in future.”

Lovely to hear you're so pleased with all the items from your order Christine. I can see, our hard working team shipped your free shipping order the same day it was placed on the Wednesday 20th after our 2pm same day shipping cut off and Royal Mail completed delivery on Monday 25th within our 3-5 working day estimate for our free delivery service. Alas, it does seem Royal Mail where up against it with your parcel in this instance, due to high volumes within their network, around what has become Black Friday Month for most, along with adverse weather in many areas including localised flooding. As you can imagine we have tried all carriers over the years and on a whole have found Royal Mail to be the most reliable (in many cases nothing beats a local posties knowledge). “I ordered a Ruffwear jecket for my dog. It was depatched quickly. It was lovely but unfortuately didn't fit, being too long in the back and too tight around her girth. I requested a return which was approved and so sent it back. Have now had confirmation the refund is being made, to just waiting for it to show up on my card. No hassle and good service from Mountain Dog.”

“I'd never heard of them before and took a chance with ordering. The dog harness arrived as expected with good parcel tracking and it was exactly what I ordered. I would return to buy from them again although their stock choice is limited.”

“Excellent prices, lower than main dealer. Haven't found the returns as easy unfortunately. I received a packing slip on an email, but unfortunately have no printer, so had to find a shop to.print and oay for that as well as expensive tracked Royal Mail return for one item which was way too big even though I followed the sizing guide. Hoping I don't have to chase up my refund now.”

Sadly while the sizing used are 100% accurate from the manufacturer, different shapes can cause items to fit differently on some than others and not everything works for everyone. Here at Mountain Dog, as not everyone has a printer we are always happy to accept returns with either the original packing slip or a hand written identification note to help our team best process a return once it arrives with us. Rest assured all returns are natively processed the same day they land with us with the banking side of things normally only takes a few working day for them to do their bit for us all. “Good strong lead...the shock absorber is a great addition..the only minus I have is my dog wears a harness and the clip ion lead is small so proves tricky to attach to two rings on harness”

“I found the items I wanted to purchase at a good price. I deducted a star because despite spending well over £200 the items were sent via RoyalMail 48 service which meant I had to wait longer for the goods to arrive. Whilst I appreciate that I selected the slower service becasue I did not want to pay for delivery it would have been excellent customer service to upgrade my shipping.”

“I recived my dogs harness really quickly which was excellent. her shape as 8mth old cockerpoo is slightly out of align with standard harness ie they fit the chest but then swims on the neck or visa versa. Your harness takes into account the need for adjustments in both areas. only down side is the neck does not have a clasp to undo, which results in readjust this each time I take it off or put back on as in the right postition its a bit tight getting over her head. I would recommend this product.”

“Very good company. I found an item I wanted which I couldn’t find anywhere else. I ordered the wrong colour and when I contacted them they sorted it for me. The only reason I’ve given 4 stars is because I didn’t get dispatch notifications or updates. However when I contacted the company they did provide them.”

“My "go to" place for Ruffwear harnesses, ££ are a bit easier on the pocket, and reliable too so far. The only thing that's really annoying are the constant email reminders that something is in your basket and you've not checked out yet??? I KNOW!!! I PUT IT THERE!!!”

“I bought the Ruffwear - Lumenglow Hi-Viz Jacket in XL for my oversized GSD. Great fit round his girth, and was very easy to put on. I would have liked the length of the jacket down his back to be a little longer, (but he is a very big boy). I live down lanes where there are no paths or streetlights, and cars visibly slowed when they saw us. Add in the bonus of the jacket being waterproof, I'm very pleased with my purchase”
