Mountain Dog are proudly the UK's Premier Dog Outfitter.
Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

Today we have now served well over 150,000 customers and our business, whilst still small and family focused, occupies over 5000 square feet and is full of amazing dog products for the active and not so active pup alike.

“Cant comment on the product yet as it was too small, I ordered my dogs normal size but they must be on the small side, iv returned the coat back to mountain dog, the returns process was easy but im not happy with a possible 3 to 4 weeks wait for a replacement and having to pay for returns, most companies have a free returns policy, if you are a new customer when you place an order your product arrives within 48 hours, if you are an existing customer with a problem, it takes 3 weeks once they receive the item back? Not a happy customer”

Hi Ben, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Good news, I've taken a look into your return request, and I can see your return arrived with us yesterday morning. Your exchange was shipped out via Tracked 48 that very same day, and is already well on its way to you - it should arrive with you very soon. We're wondering if you may have use mixed up with another online business in this instance? As here at Mountain Dog as we do not stipulate this time scale. Rest assured all returns are processed the same working day the arrive back with us and the normal turn around for exchanges is on average between 7-10 working days depending on the carrier serviced used to return an item to us. Hi there, Many thanks for leaving a review! I'm sorry to hear about the toy. The Signature Stick is best used as a throwing/fetch toy, and it therefore isn't designed for rigorous chewing. We have to reiterate that these toys should never be left unsupervised with your dog as they are susceptible to damage. All of the toys that we supply are from reputable brands that we trust. “I purchased a harness and a matching lead costing over £70.00. Less than 3 months later the plastic clip on the harness broke. I dont know how it broke it was probably done whilst she was wearing it. She is a puller hence why we purchased one with a front clip also. I took photos to show the clip and where it broke. I was told that it was damaged by a third party.... I dont know how they came to that and they would not refund or replace. They stated they did not want to make a profit from this so offered me another harness i could for £37 which included postage!!!!!! I have 3 dogs. 2 Beagles and 1 Chow Chow. I have always had dogs. This harness must of broke because it was defective. Mountain Dog did not even want me to send it in to investigate further. They just wanted another £37. I will never recommend using this company.”

We've sold many of these harnesses over the years, and can say with assurance that the damage to your harness is not due to a manufacturing fault and therefore cannot be covered under warranty. “unfortunately we had size issues with the harness recommended for my dog, so i returned it, which to be honest cost me an unacceptable amount , so wont be using again”

Hello Michael, Sorry to hear you did not have a good experience. When it comes to our sizing guides they are 100% accurate. However, we completely understand that all dogs vary in size and shape, which can make measuring difficult. Because we understand how difficult it can be, we offer a free exchange service. We will work to get you the best fit possible for your doggo. If you choose to send your order back for a full refund, we do charge £3.99 when using our postage labels. However, you are more than welcome to use your own postage. Thank you for your review.

“I had to pay customs from Republic of Ireland.Tried to contact yourselves no reply .The harness was to small so had send back and paid 8 euro for return plus 24 euro in customs coming into Ireland.So expensive.”

Sorry to hear you weren't satisfied - we did speak to you so a little unsure why you think there wasn't any contact. Maybe we spoke to another member of your family on the same topic? The situation with duty is quite unavoidable as you are in the EU and our website explains that given the size of our business we cannot register for Irish duty due to very low volumes. It's regrettable but I'm sure this is consistent with other items you import from the UK and it is 100% out of our control post Brexit. On the basis of this feedback we have now withdrawn shipping for the EU and will only serve the UK market where factors are much more controllable.

We are so sorry to hear this, you have indeed tried a few shoes from a few brands with the same result which is not a usual occurrence at all. Mountain Dog offer a try-on period where you can check the fit in the home and as long as the item is returned as new we will exchange for free. It is important to ensure boots are tightly secured and not loose before trying them outside - perhaps you can visit us and we can help with a fitting?

“Sizing of Harness wasn’t as advertised, tried twice to speak with company to look to alternative and prior to placing review, but no communication back & just got refund. Shame as product seemed good quality but waist size not as advertised, was 20 cm’s shorter, neck size was accurate. No idea if I got faulty one or if generally sizing wrong.”

Hi Garry, you bought the Front Range Harness by Ruffwear for £39.95 (RRP 44.95) - a product that isn't often cheaper elsewhere on the web and carriage is free from us, so not sure if you are referring to the value of the harness compared to other brands or indeed Mountain Dog's offer around this. We are so sorry you think this, we believe we price fairly, do of course reach our to us if you would like to return - we want our customers to be delighted.

“dog coats were of good quality but none of the 4 coats fitted our cookapoos so had to send them all back at oue expense”
