About Mountain Dog:

Mountain Dog are proudly the UK's Premier Dog Outfitter.
Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

Today we have now served well over 150,000 customers and our business, whilst still small and family focused, occupies over 5000 square feet and is full of amazing dog products for the active and not so active pup alike.

“L/XL for a Golden Retriever fits well. Nice quality materials and colour as advertised. Less likely to be able to back out and escape the harness unlike some other. I would however prefer a stiffer format in the body straps as there is elasticated flex in this harness which means my dog is less reactive to pulling correction which for a strong dog is sometimes needed. Probably wouldn’t buy again for a large dog that tends to pull for this reason but would be happy to buy a gain for a well heeled dog.”

“After a few adjustments the harness fits well on our flat coated retriever/Labrador cross. Its tricky to put on over her collar so I’ve been removing it. This means I need to keep the harness on when she’s off the lead. I’m a little concerned about doing this as she’s an adventurer, going off into the undergrowth, jumping over stuff and into any available water. So there’s a risk she could get caught up. She also rolls in unspeakables! We’ll have to see how that goes. But generally much better than her previous harness.”

Let me first reassure you that the Front Range Harnesses are durable and robust. It is designed to be used as an everyday harness meaning it can withstand the adventures you and your best friend takes. Like every harness, there is that chance that they could get tangled, however, this isn't something that we have seen happen before nor is it something that is commonly seen amongst our customers. Our Front Range Harness offers that extra security and close fit with its 4 points of adjustment, meaning a closer fit to the body. The Front Range Harness can be worn in water and puddles, however, the harness is not waterproof and will get wet. You can treat the harness with waterproof spray the same way you would if you had a waterproof coat or shoes. Rest assured your doggo can roll around in as many unspeakable things whilst on adventures because the harness can be hand washed with a mild detergent. “Great service and product, but a clip for the over-the-head part would be helpful. Our Pointer has a narrow neck and so the front part is fairly small and difficult to get her head through unless we loosen it every time.”

“I would give 5 stars because the service is great, but o has to check the website longer than 3weeks to find out if the product I was looking for was available. And it wasn’t for over month. Until I got p hold of you guys by messenger and help me out. And the waiting was around 10 days. I just recommend to have availability of your products at all times. Beside that, the customer service experience amis great. This is the second jacket I buy for my puppy and I can’t never get the right size, but the staff always is willing to help me. I love the jacket. Thank you”

So pleased we could help, your dog looks great. Re availability, we do normally try to keep a full range in stock but I'm afraid the last year has seen so many logistics and supply chain issues with vendors that the odd delay Im afraid does happen. International freight is at an all time high cost wise, factories are producing less due to staffing issues and obviously we rely on all these working well to deliver. Our vendors on the whole have done a great job considering, trust us we'd love to have everything in stock all the time but todays commercial world does have some issues Im afraid.

“My products arrived promptly. The lead I loved from the start. The harness I struggled with and I wondered if it was going to work for my dog. I contacted Customer help. It was not possible as far as I could see to phone and at first, I could not work out whether I was in a live chat situation or email since the screen appeared to show a potential support person poised to 'speak to me). As it was a bit confusing and I could not speak to anyone I gave 4 rather than 5 stars. It turned out to be more email based and the support person was very helpful and I was able to work through the issues with him. Resulting in me persevering with adjusting the harness and keeping it. I had spent a long time researching suitable harnesses and it did seem to be perfect for my needs.”

Hello Susan, Glad to hear that your products arrived quickly. The crag leashes are great and come with some fantastic patterns. With the front range harnesses, they can be a little fiddly at the beginning to fit and we are sorry to hear that there was a struggle in communication at the start. However, we are more than happy to help and glad to hear that you got assistance in the end. The front range harnesses are great and whilst at the beginning can be difficult to fit, they do offer the best fit possible with 3 points of adjustment, allowing for the best security and optimum fit.
