Mountain Dog are proudly the UK's Premier Dog Outfitter.
Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

Today we have now served well over 150,000 customers and our business, whilst still small and family focused, occupies over 5000 square feet and is full of amazing dog products for the active and not so active pup alike.

“I bought the Ruffwear - Lumenglow Hi-Viz Jacket in XL for my oversized GSD. Great fit round his girth, and was very easy to put on. I would have liked the length of the jacket down his back to be a little longer, (but he is a very big boy). I live down lanes where there are no paths or streetlights, and cars visibly slowed when they saw us. Add in the bonus of the jacket being waterproof, I'm very pleased with my purchase”

“Ordered two leads and collars , arrived really quick, however one lead ordered was wring length, my fault, that had been returned and refund process already started and e mailed recieved, will re order correct length lead once recieved refund.”

“I had a very helpful and quick email exchange regarding some questions on buying new dog coats. Ordered two and these were delivered super fast. I’ve only marked down to 4 because I had a very specific request on dog coat type and was indicated there wasn’t one exactly right, but after ordering I realised the web description wasn’t complete (the coat actually did have a harness hole even though this wasn’t stated as a feature on the website), so I may have made a different choice.”

Hi, Thank you so much for your feedback - I'm glad to hear your coats arrived to you very quickly! The majority of the products we stock have a lead portal, so that a harness can be worn underneath. In the rare instances that there isn't a lead portal present, such as on a jacket like the Hase, we do take extra care to mention this in the product description. “The web site is great with great gear for your pooch! The ordering and delivery was quick and efficient and the actual harness we ordered is just as expected. The only problem we have is with the fit as despite three separate people measuring our dog to ensure correct size was ordered we have found it to be too big around the chest but fits lovely around his neck? Seems to be a strange sizing? Been worn now so cannot return and too expensive an item to reorder. Real shame as it’s a beautiful harness.”

Thank you so much for your review. It's great to hear you found ordering from us to be quick an efficient. Alas, sometimes some harnesses aren't best suited to the individual dog. While it rare for this to be the case, our team are always happy to aid with fitting/sizing advice and can draw from experience to offer a possible alternative. While we are always happy for items to be tried on to determine a correct fit, sadly once an item has been used we are unable to accept them back for return.

“The package didn't take long to arrive. Given my GSD is 40kg and very pray-driven, the collar is sturdy and feels secure when on. Size is as always a bit of a challenge as this is just about big enough to go over her head, the next size up would have been too big. I've ordered the Kong Signature stick, one of the squeaks is not working and the stitching is coming apart not even a week of occasional use (that's why the 4 stars).”

“Good shower-proof coat. Got caught in a downpour the first day we used it. Pup's back was completely dry but belly was wet. - So coat is probably most effective in a light shower rather than heavy rain. One issue was the sizing suggestion was inaccurate. It advised purchasing a size 50 but it was 2 sizes too big and I had to return it at my own cost. I'd advise ordering several sizes to avoid sending items back and forth. However, the refund was actioned quickly and the order arrived in good time, so good customer service on that front.”

“Due to a variety of reasons I have not yet used the product, however, it appears to be of the material I wanted in particular waterproof/washable and strong. It is a tracking lead and at the moment I can say nothing else. except the ordering and delivery time were both excellent.”

“Good selection, great quality, often cheaper than anywhere else and quick delivery… …my only criticism, while delivery is free returns are £3.99, so far ok, however if you pack multiple orders together you still get charged the delivery for each order. My lesson is that I will only purchase what I am pretty sure I want and not multiple choices.”

“We bought a long line and two harnesses from Mountain Dog. There was an issue with one of the harnesses (the stitching failed after only a couple of weeks) and I was able to log the issue online, get approval for a replacement almost instantly, and the replacement harness itself arrived the next day in the post. On a Sunday. Excellent customer service and it meant we were not left in the lurch without a working harness. Very pleased with the experience of dealing with them and we have a happy dog running around in a smart new harness on a sturdy long line.”
