“Good-looking product. The only criticism I have, is the latch mechanism extends beyond the rim measurement, therefore a notch has to be made to allow the latch to swivel.”

“Having moved into a new (to me) property I found that the loft hatch, which was located in the bathroom, was very difficult to use. It was a square wooden hatch, with no hinges, which had to be lifted up and moved across to clear the opening. To do this you needed to stand on small step ladders but you could only lift it a small amount before it hit the loft ladder stored above. You then had to slide it in exactly the right direction to miss various joists. At my age, it was too much of a chore. I looked online and found Jupiter Blue. I completed the online order form with the required dimensions and sent it off. I had one small query which I emailed to them and received a response almost immediately. I was kept informed about the progress of my order. When the hatch arrived it was well packed and looked very neat. It was easy to fit with the help of my Grandson and it looks very smart in the bathroom. It drops down on hinges, so no need for steps and the opening is then clear to pull down the loft ladder. I now feel happy taking all my junk up into the loft (that's the only downside!!). I would thoroughly recommend Jupiter Blue for their products and customer service.”

“Nice loft hatch. Ordering a custom size is a bit confusing though as there's a lack of consistency in the instructions provided. The ordering page on the website says to deduct 5mm from the width when ordering, but the paperwork with the hatch says to deduct 5mm from both dimensions. Go with 5mm on both dimensions, if your roof hatch space is even slightly off square it'll be a pain to fit otherwise.. which mine was.”
