Product was cheap and didn’t work well. It was shorter than what one would expect for the job it needs to do.

Delivered quickly, but overpriced. I found exactly the same product at a major retailer significantly cheaper.

Have received your communication since placing my order on 4th April after submitting my first review. It’s 11 working days excluding bank holidays and weekends since placing my order. EST 7-10 days?? First and last order

When your order was placed, the expected lead time was 7-11 working days. The recent bank holidays have unfortunately extended the delivery timeline. We are awaiting confirmation from our supplier about the polycarbonate needed for the window in your loft door, as they are experiencing some delays in their delivery. Opened kit sent not new by manufacturer. Now causing at leaat 1 delay on site. Poor QA process.

Not great. Custome hatch (1 of 2) ordered and not delivered despite courier confirming there shoudl be two parcells. Had to call to establish where it was as invoice was issued so it was definately shipped. Dave was very helpfull but advised it was not shipped due to powder coating issue? Had to collect so as to be on time with our installation. This was not convenient at all. The hatch we collected was in bubble wrap only and there is a dent on each side of the frame. Sometimes you just have to step up and offer a solution that works for your customer, even if someone just checks the product first, puts it in a car and gets it to where it is needed. We are based on Wakefield btw so not that far out of the way. I appreciate that if we were London its a different storey and your outgoing quality control should have spotted the obvious dent.

Low quality panel. The plastic hinge broke while the door was being installed. Had to get a replacement from flipfix. Still have your panel f you want it back

Hi Steve, Thank you for your review. The hand made product you ordered is on a lead time of 12 - 15 working days. For Orders placed Friday 6th October this gives a delivery window between today (Monday 23rd October up to Thursday 26th October). I've just checked with production, your order is being dispatched today and should be delivered by Wednesday 25th October. Regards Martin

Than you for your your review Gerard, we're glad to hear your happy with the tile access panel kit you ordered. As for the carriage, we're a building product supplier with most items being heavy and bulky. To keep things simple for customers we have a flat rate of carriage for items going from England to Northern Ireland which caters for items upto 20kg. Sorry that in this case for a small item the carriage charge seems excessive, it's really geared towards larger items.

The delivery was quick but the product quality was disappointing. The lid is not flat and therefore does not fit snugly against the frame. Also, the foam insulation has become detached from the lid within days of fitting. The adhesive or bonding method between the insulation and the lid is inadequate. Overall, I am left disappointed with the purchase.

Bought a loft hatch and had a problem with the colour as it was not white. They were excellent in their response and had it collected from my address investigated and sent me another one. On expecting it was the same as the first one an off white which really shows up on a newly painted ceiling. I contacted them again and said I was not happy and could I return for a refund which they said was fine but the cost of postage is mine, which was not good as the cost could be quite a lot.

Thank you for your feedback Geoff, we describe the hatch as white but make no claim as to an exact colour reference. As you've pointed out we've supplied one, collected it (at our cost). We accept the first version was sightly outside our normal colour range. We are happy the second hatch supplied matched our colour expectations and can legitimatley be described as "White". As the hatch is not defective or mis-described then it's down to you to return at your cost.

Very expensive fire loft opening.....horrid plastic key for locking system....should be metal Paint is ‘skimpy’ and missing in places. A poor product.

The hatch and ladder were fine but the pole supplied fitted the ladder but not the hatch. I called you and you sent a replacement pole, the next day, with the correct attachments which was much too short to reach the hatch. I had to transfer the hatch attachment to the longer pole. Unfortunately, the attachment on the longer pole was screwed and on the shorter pole riveted. I had to drill out the rivet and then use the screw. The self-tapping screw supplied was far too long, so you cut your fingers if you used the pole. I had to use a hacksaw and file to make the pole safe to use. You should have supplied the correct pole in the first place.

Hello Thomas, You placed two separate orders via our website on Sunday 24th July. The first was for a loft hatch - during the checkout process, you would have been offered the chance to add our 700mm long opening pole which is compatible with this hatch and the residential loft ladders we also sell. You declined this offer. Your second order was for a loft ladder. The ladder is supplied with an operating pole which is specifically for the purpose of operating the ladder. We make no claim this pole will do anything other than this. As a gesture of goodwill we sent you one of our 700mm long opening poles out as a Free of charge item. You've then decided to try and make your own pole using two different manufacturers parts and are disappointed with the end result. Naturally it's disappointing to get feedback like this, we're sorry that despite our efforts to help you it seems to have had the opposite effect.
