“Just fitted a 300x300 picture frame, took door off, scribed, cut the hole to size and fit with silicone and screws the re installed the door. The door latch was a bit of a problem closing because the latches were not in place properly but after a bit of fiddling and tightening a few little screws it closed. Client is very happy and finishes the job of to look smart. Very happy with the ordering and delivery process overall very competent company and would highly recommend their products. They are much better than the plastic one you get a big brand tool stores.”

“Easy ordering and delivered quickly. The loft hatch does what I want it to do but is easliy distorted when fitting. Needed time and patience to get it squared and working properly. It seems to use the rafers to give it the rigidity needed for use. A heavier frame plastic or metal subframe would probably solve the fitting problem bu obviusly would be at a cost.”

“Good product. Easy install. 2 person install required to support weight. And fit. Suggest internal wall height to be extended as fixing holes 60 mm up and 2 layers of plaster board make screw points close to edge of roof joists”

“The loft hatch arrived in good time and is good quality at a reasonable price. To open the hatch needs a specific pole, which they sell, but is expensive for what it is.”

“Very well made and looks good now fitted. Watching the fitting video, it was suggested to fit the unit to take out the hatch from the surround but it was not made to enable this so struggled slightly to fit it but it was overcome”

“Pleased with accuracy to sizes provided to them, for a customised hatch. Quality is very good and correct to spec ordered. Delivery was the only slight disappointment. I realised that the “2 day delivery” quoted on website order page was preset, bearing in mind my order went in Friday night and it was made-to-order. I saw nothing of a delivery estimate on the order confirmation or post order comms. So, contacted J B a few days later and they confirmed a predicted delivery, which was accurate, but more like a 7-10 working day timeline, which I thought was realistic. Don’t let the delivery issue above put you off, as I’m pretty fussy and so far (fitted it yesterday) I’m very pleased with the tidy, slimline look of our hatch now.”

“Ideal locking mechanism for our loft hatch, especially the weight of our hatch. Only drawback was the pole that was purchased at the time. I felt it could be a it more sturdy/stronger especially when turning the locking mechanism.”

“I recently purchased a drop down attic hatch, which i must say was as discribed.snd reasonably priced, the only downside with using them was the postage cost to Northern Ireland, where i live.The postage was almost as much as the hatch.Therefore i got it sent to a friend in England, who in turn posted it to me via royal mail, it was less than half price, so my question is why is their postage soo expensive”

“Very happy with the quality of the loft hatch which has been made to the size i requested. The only issue is the rod for the hinge to the door has to be recessed into the ceiling plasterboard to allow the draft excluder to compress against the plasterboard. It is quite difficult to install even with two people as you have hold the hatch in position with the door open to fix the screws into the joists. Eventually we decided to remove the door, offer the frame up, and mark the screw hole postions. Then drilled Pilot holes before putting the door back on and fixing the frame in position. It's so much better than the plastic hatch we had before so worth the effort.”

“A very nice lift hatch but it would be much easier to fit (especially lone working) if the lid could be fitted after the frame was in place. Fitting the frame with the lid attached is quite difficult.”
