“Brought the loft ladder and found the same manufacturer and ladder at screwfix for £69.00 so I was not happy about this as I thought they was made to order which it was obviously not. Not impressed with the cost as I feel I was ripped off. Will not buy from these again.”

We appreciate your feedback, but unfortunately, we cannot compete with major brands like Screwfix in terms of pricing for products sourced from external companies. We apologise for any confusion regarding the ladder being custom-made. While we do offer made-to-measure ladders, the AL3 ladder you ordered is a stock item On our website, we do indicate which ladders are made to measure. For instance, made-to-measure ladders can take up to four weeks for delivery, while the AL3 ladder is available for delivery in just 2 working days. If you would like to return the ladder, we'd be happy to help you with a refund as long as it hasn’t been opened and is still in its original packaging. “Overall a good custom unit, but would be better if door could be removed whilst fixing since unit is pretty heavy. The seal around the trim is lower than the edge of the trim so can't see how that's ever going to seal, I ran sealant around the edges.”

“Good product, not cheap but you get what you pay for. Non existence communications I emailed twice and left voice messages, NOT one was answered!!!”

“The loft hatch is sturdy and well made. I sought assistance from Customer Services regarding sizes. As I was going away I decided to order it when I got back however customer services failed to tell me there was going to be a price increase. If I had known this I would have ordered it prior to going away.”

“Got the Product. All good. Did specifically ask for the delivery driver not to leave with neighbours on the checkout. Hatch was left next door. Have our reasons for not wanting this to happen. Also product was scuffed in places”

“Service delivery and ordering was goodbut the access panel door was let down by a poor quality /flimsy plastic lock cover. This plastic cover will snap after several uses or will go brittle and snap over a short time. Also there were no side fixing points for the panel which meant additional joinery work to fit top and bottom fixing rails. As many of these panels will be fitted between existing vertical timber studs side fixing holes would make the job much easier.”

“Good : 1. Website information and ordering process; 2. swift delivery; 3. overall quality of product. Not good: 4. Upon opening the delivered package one corner of the 25 mm wide flange was found to be bent up by something like 30 degrees. Packaging not obviously damaged. Managed to unbend it to an acceptable extent as needed to fit the hatch then and there. Otherwise would have returned it. 5. Plastic key for budget lock works just fine but doesn't give same perception of quality as the metal hatch. 6. The exposed surface of the glass fibre (?) insulation is friable. It would be better if it had a facing as it is easy to rub against the exposed surface when going up into the attic.”

“Item is quite flimsy & so difficult to keep square. Easier to fit with two people. Check the internal measurements as well as the external external as my existing internals were 50mm shorter than this one meaning I had to remove a noggin. Also the surround is slightly translucent so if you haven’t painted right up to the edge of the opening, or the plaster edge isn’t neat, you will be able to see a colour difference even though it’s white. Same with the catch. The pole, which you have to buy separately, is expensive for what it is, but would be difficult to make up yourself. Without it you would need a chair or hop up to release the catch. Also i had to cut out two slots of the polystyrene so the ladders wouldn’t push the hatch back too far. And that was the thinnest insulation so would be worse on the other two options given.”

“Disappointing. Whilst the overall finish is smart and looks good in place, I can see daylight around the door suggesting it is not sealing properly and therefore letting heat through into the loft (not what I bought it for. The insulation looks as if it has not been finished properly as it is lose in the frame and will likely need taping in place.”

“Product was slightly damaged on the insulation but this was hidden when the door is closed, we didn't bother with claiming a replacement. The product itself is fine, the frame is a bit flimsy so make sure it's supported full on each side. The rubber/plastic washers supplied with the screws are a waste of time, the trap door hits the screw heads when using the washers. When tightening the screws further to avoid this, the washers are pushed out.”

“Loft hatch arrived apparently brand new and in good condition and an exact fit for my loft opening. However, I've had to create my own tool for opening the door as it arrived without anything to turn the lock from below - especially if you're vertically challenged as I am.”

“I am not impressed with the courier that you use. They been to my place two times when I am out and don't leave the items. So for the reason I don't give you a 5 star. Why they cannot leave when I have instruction in the front for for them to leave in a safe place. Still not delivered.”

“Companty was great and the loft hatch is pretty solid (AT35) but it lacks coutersunk holes so the clearance between the screw head and the door is extremely tight. Consequently, the hatch is a bit sticky and depending on how my house moves in the summer I am a little worried it will get stuck. Also, I think for old houses the lip is somewhat pointless as my ceiling is very much not flat! I think an option for one which had a recessed groove around the edge so you could plaster it in would be better”
