“it would be helpful if there was an image of the LEDs on the replacement led cables, as I bought them as a replacement for my own shades, but they don't fit as they are more saucer shaped than the incandescent bulbs. However, the product is good quality (I think - I haven't had it that long), was packaged well and arrived on time.”

Dear Joel, Thank you for your comments - the new LEDs are certainly saucer-shaped and fit into the slit next to the hole in the cotton balls rather like a button. Because they are wider than the filament bulbs, and therefore sometimes the slit in the cotton ball does need widening slightly with a pair of sharp scissors. Dear Helen, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you had such a hard time placing the balls onto the cable. The cotton balls are handmade; as such, some of the slits are bigger than others and will require a small cut to widen them, as described in the instruction leaflet. I do hope that it was worthwhile in the end and that you have a lovely light set assembled to warm up these dark wintry nights. “First set of lights arrived with two bulbs not working, then within a few weeks whole set of lights fused, tried new fuses etc, but bin was where they went..bought a second set of 35 lights to replace binned set..again three bulbs not working, then two weeks later bang who.e set gone again...and binned...will never buy from cable and cotton again...”

Hi Marie, I'm very sorry to hear the trouble you had with the our lights. Despite your experience, this is very unusual...although I understand that doesn't help you in your case. We now exclusively use our own designed LED lights on our strings and this reduces failure to almost zero. Please get in touch with Kate (hello@cableandcotton.com) and she will be able to resolve this issue for you. Once again, I am sorry for the far less than perfect experience you've had so far.
