“While the water butt and stand are good and what I expected, there was only one inlet/outlet pipe with a plastic nut to secure it which meant that the spigot didn't have a nut or vice versa!. Luckily I managed to cannibalise material from my old broken water butt otherwise the new one would have been unusable. The water diverter doesn't have a cap so all sorts of dirt and leaves could get in to block it. Rather a disappointment”

“Product came almost week after dispatch, and in a state as it has fallen out from a lorry and was run over by it. Photos for proof attached. I have managed to Push out main indentations but it's far from good condition.”

“Edit instructions with easy way, please. pacaging fine, delivery is also fine. its tap should be arrow which side is water drops. we may check water level from outside (make transparent plastic meassurement which we can see from outside. which liquid we may use to clean, guide me.”

“I rarely give poor reviews as I consider myself to be realistic when it comes to business challenges. However, on this occasion I find that I am unable to give a higher rating. I chased for an update on my order when it did not arrive to be told they were awaiting the item to come back into stock some 8 days later. Adding this on to the time I had already waited was disappointing. No apology was given. I asked if they could guarantee my water butt would be sent out immediately stock came in, but no response to this. I chased again and was told delivery had been put back again. No apology this time either! My water butt has now arrived and I am happy with the quality. Had the delayed stock communication been handled better, my review would not have been so poor. Please consider your customer a little more when delivering bad news.”

“The water butts are fine, delivery as expected, but the linking kit supplied does not have threaded connectors to fit the linking hose to the preformed threaded holes. To install this kit would require me to drill holes in the water butts which is daft when there are threaded holes in several places placed by the manufacturer. I have sourced a better kit from elsewhere, at half the price. The response from seller was dismissive.”

“Ordered a 250 ltr water butt which took 2 weeks to arrive despite my order stating 3-5 days for delivery. At no point during the order process was it mentioned that you had no stock of this spec. If there had been I wouldn’t have ordered it. It’s basically sales under false pretences! Very poor service; absolutely wouldn’t recommend.”

“Item arrived fine and customer service friendly, but was charged £51 to return item for a refund. Item was free to deliver and different couiers were used for the expensive collection. Can't help feeling that I have been overcharged for this return, even if item was fairly large. For this reason, I am very unlikely to shop here again.”

Hi, Please be advised the original item price does take into account what the supplier charges us to ship it. The £51 collection fee is the same costing as shipping fee.

“The finish is poor, in relation to the image on screen - it's obvious it's plastic at the front which negated the terracotta effect. I understood a hose was additional to a tap. This was not included.”

“Poor Custome Service. The water Butt is great. However, the delivery company left a very large, heavy pallet to which the Butt was attached for delivery. When I contact Water Butts Direct to explain it was going to cost me £40 for a Council Bulky waste collection, they refused to contact the delivery company to collect the pallet. They simply said to leave it on the street and hope someone else takes it away! Living in the City, this is not helpful. I am therefore £40 out of pocket.”

Hi Daniel, We dispatched your order a day after you ordered (8th of Dec) and can see this was delivered successfully on the 9th of December. So we are unsure what the issue may have been, a part from the Harcostar hose which was ordered (but it does state this is for use of Harcostar products only). We do appreciate any feedback so we can work on any further issues in the future. However, for pricing matters, every website and company is different. Kind regards Water Butts Direct.

“The water butt was received in excellent condition and was very easy to install. I have rated this as good not excellent because I did not receive any notification of when to expect the delivery apart from an email from the courier on the day which did not include an ETA which meant waiting in all day which is unusual these days. Their email also stated that the delivery was from 'GM8 group'. I did not recognise this name and initially thought it was a spam delivery message.”

“After unwrapping the over use of shrink wrap , all the components looked quite cheap , this has been the case because the tap leaks , the hoses leak and the stand is very flimsy when you think it has to hold that amount of water . Not my best purchase at all”

“1.pure luck that I was home when delivered. 2.total lack of instructions and sufficient technical details, including material specification (for long term, recycle, fire risk when empty, surface repair or repainting. 3. colour: described and illustrated as stone/sand, but actually a very pale greenish cream... 4. overall not quality for money.
