“My metropolitan water butt in green marble looks fantastic. The instructions were clear. Note, alternative fittings for the butt end of the diverter and an instruction leaflet are supplied as it fits in a slightly different way to normal. I am looking forward to my plants, some trailing ones growing and making it look even better”

“A good quality item but didn't come with any fitting instructions and had no tap to fit into the unit. Has three 3/4 brass insert connections either side (so not as actual photo on web site)which need drilling out for the fitting of any rainsavers and one connection on the front for a tap. Came with 2 blanks when would be better with a further four to screw into the side connections. Did report the lack of instructions and no tap via a phone conversation but never received any comeback.”

“I now have three water butts. In general happy. Lugs to join 3 parts of stand could be longer, they come apart easily when adjusted. The tap supplied is small bore so filling a standard watering can is very slow, would be great to fill quickly.”

“Harcoster 227l water butt excellent - easy to screw tap in from front, rather than have reach nut on inside. My only disappointment is that the Harcoster water butt stand is a different colour green from the butt. The butt is a lovely dark green but the stand is a brighter green.”

“Your big problem is using DPD for delivering. I received two text messages and two emails giving a time slot for delivery. As I had been notified I stayed at home for the time slot. But nothing turned up. No notification of any change. When I checked the DPD website the next day. It was reported that there was nobody in. The water butts did arrive the next day but at different times, as there was nobody in they were just left in the garden..packaging box damaged but waterbutt okay..”

“The pair of butts arived promptly but were left in the rain as I didn't see the email in time and had little warning. The delivery person could easiyl have pressed my bell. When I opened the boxes there was some water in the bottom which I think was there before as the boxes were well sealed. I left the boxes open for several days to dry. The pair of 168 litre butts look good, but we couldn't find any instructions how to use the downpie rain diverter.”
