I emailed requesting a hard copy if T&C's to be posted to my home address as I do not have facilities to print them off I wanted a hard copy so I could read them closely and always have a copy. All I received was an email with the T&Cs attached. Not what I wanted hence the one star review

Rejected a claim for something that happened after becoming a member. Kept saying it was tied to something else, when it clearly wasn’t. I was being treated for replacement fillings that I was not claiming for. Fractured a crown between those appointments but after I became a member so they rejected it. Took my money but wouldn’t fulfil their obligations.

Total joke to get a claim paid. You fill in the form and send your bill showing every bit of information and they require and they reject the claim saying they don't have enough information. Happens every single time that I try to claim.

Too much chasing around to get further proof of visits I'm better off just cancelling and just paying for my treatments

When we know there is a national shortage of NHS dentists it makes no sense that paying for a dental insurance doesn’t cover you for private treatment!

shocking service change rules and policies detail without updating customers and even when you send all relevant info for a claim they choose not to see it, prelonging payments at every opportunity.

The NHS dental plan does not offer value for money. We have cancelled the policy as we pay £25 a month and have only claimed twice and they rejected a claim for some treatment. £300 per year for only a couple of small claims (dental check ups) is definitely nit value for money.

It’s an absolute disgrace paying every month when my Dentist is doing his best to help me control the pain ! Yet you tell me I can’t claim as it’s classed as Private!!!!

hi Had severe toothache for 5 days My dentist who i usually go with have just gone private phoned around all dentists in Taunton and surrounding area as i do not drive to try and find a NHS dentist and no one for love nor money are not taking on any more NHS patience I went back to my old dentist which cost me £255 phoned and explained to these people if they could help towards cost not all but some this was there reply after paying in for 10 years plus !!!!!!!!!!! In relation to your recent dental claim we are unfortunately unable to process this as the treatment carried out is shown as private treatment which is not covered on your policy as the terms & conditions state: “You cannot claim for any privately charged treatment undertaken or charges incurred on a private basis in conjunction with or alternative to your NHS treatment if you have the NHS Patient Plan. This includes treatment by a private hygienist working in your NHS dentist’s practice. We would advise that you ask your dentist about your treatment needs and charges before proceeding with the treatment as you cannot claim for any costs that are outside the benefits listed in the English NHS bands 1, 2 and/or 3. If you live in or are treated in Northern Ireland or Scotland, you will be reimbursed for your treatment up to the English NHS banding limits.” I hope this helps but please feel free to contact me again should you have any further queries & if you would like to leave a comment in regards to the service you have received please do so here:

I’ve been paying in this for years and now my claims are being refused- so I’m feeling totally ripped off! Not good. Why the sudden refusals ? No communication to say anything different- so I should have at least a years refund on my premiums! Not fit for purpose- feeling cheated and very angry!😡 Christine Nash

Never received policy documents, was unaware that would not receive pay out for ongoing condition that began prior to policy so was therefore paying £25 a month for my partner and I for no reason. I believe those payments should be refunded but that has fallen on deaf ears
