Emails received from Debra Grimshaw were rude, judgemental and offensive. I have a corporate plan and was simply trying to understand all the terms and conditions/restrictions before upgrading to Level 2 of membership. She implied that I was 'playing the system' and that I did not understand what an insurance policy was. So, from wanting to upgrade to Level 2, I then decided to cancel and go to another provider after such AWFUL customer service. I work in customer service and it's about trying to assist the customer and accommodate their needs wherever possible, not tell them they're stupid. Well, lost business for UK Healthcare!

Gary’s check up was a NHS check up & the hygienist is now obviously now private. So surely the check up is refunded to me!

I am not sure if this company is deliberately losing claims, reject or pay less than the allowance, in order to make more profit; or if they’re genuinely this incompetent. Almost every claim is a mess or has problems that when resolved, all end up being admin error. Very frustrating to deal with.

Having a real issue getting my NHS treatment refunded at the moment because of a mistake the dentist made on the form. Followed advice given by the UK Healthcare advisor. Three trips to the dentist and corrected forms. However think it's going to end up as a complaint.

Disgusting service, after presenting proof of dental history and following Protegos demands out, we are still refused a claim based on what our dentist recommended and carried out. Avoid Protego they weasel and wriggle out of payments.

I would not take any policies from you again as you do not look after your clients and it’s disgusting you don’t pay out or find a way to get out of paying out. Disgusting

Tried to contact BDHS on 30th May 25 to answer the query they had with my claim and their was no reply to the telephone service 01204 522775 and no reason why the calls were not being picked up???? Regards Mrs CM Maltby

I recently put in a claim, but I have received an email saying my policy was closed. I have had this policy 2 years now and I pay every month. Plus the number she gave me was wrong.

The idea is great, but the claims system is a mess. Once l found out that the form would only take pdf documents, not a word document that my dentist sent me. The form would still not upload my receipt. After numerous attempts l gave up. To be honest, l have been paying monthly for over a year, and l have not had a good experience. I have cancelled my direct debit.

I could not make a claim, the dental plan was a complete waste of money and time. I was asked to produce a card receipt with my name on it. Debit/credit card receipts do not include the card holder name. I was also told that the treatment I received was private, which it definitely was not. It would have cost a lot more if it had been private. I had no choice but to cancel the plan, I found the whole experience very frustrating.

I am absolutely disappointed and confused with this system. There is no issue when taking money from the account holder but when it comes to processing there is an issue. Enough is enough.
