Good value for money, polite staff, would like to see tech claim area improved, having to fill in the form for each claim is time consuming, should be able to upload more than 1 claim in same transaction etc.

Excellent customer service - prompt and personal advice. Thank you to Carl Strickland who handled my claim. Even though the process didn’t go right first time, Carl went above and beyond to let me know what was needed to progress my claim.

I have had several bad experiences with this company, In my opinion I feel barriers are placed to make it difficult to claim through complicated terms and conditions.

I made a claim on monday for £230 and phone an hour later to be told it was on the system and would be paid in 3-5 days. Phoned just 10 mins ago did not go on the system until yesterday and will not be paid until next week as so busy it is 5 working days. Give poor information and given the time of year really needed the monies back asap.

Well said Abbey.. totally agree. I did have receipt with my name, date of treatment and amount paid and still not paying. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! My employer advertised this to staff and told us all what a great scheme it is. I’ve made 3 claims at a band 1 in the last 2 years and none of them have gone through because I didn’t have a receipt with my name, date of treatment and amount paid. Most dentists do not provide this if you get NHS treatment these days and god forbid they help you with private treatments. It costs approx £10 a month and they make it as difficult as possible to make a small claim of £25 for a 15 minute check up at your dentist. Note the bad reviews before you sign up with this waste of a scheme. Biggest waste of money I’ve ever spent. I’m sure this review will go unnoticed by them but if you see this before signing up then DONT sign up! Save your mone

They make it as difficult as possible to claim and it seems I am not alone judging by the comments below. Glitches on claim site (You can't enter dentists address). Requesting so much information it takes a good 30 minutes to claim back 25 quid. I paid for my treatment by Credit Card but they are telling me the printed receipt I have supplied is insufficient as it does not show my name (why would it - what receipt ever does!) even though I have stated that the information provided is correct. Feels like a scheme is in place to loose as many claims as possible in the hope most people will just give up.

Very disappointed and frustrated with smile assured. I’ve still not recieved my refund from a dentist trip on the 16th Feb 2024 over 3 weeks ago. I’ve been paying monthly payments for my insurance for over a year and an half and have made only 2 claims for regular dental check ups under bands 1 for treatment. The claims portal doesn’t appear to work as I submitted my claim 3 times and they apparently still haven’t recieved it. I had to email the enquiries email to get any response and that has then gone ignored. I’ve submitted my receipt and screen shot of my bank statement to prove my payment as apparently they need your name on the receipt to prove it’s you? But my dentist just gave me a receipt for the treatment that was band 1. There is no communication, emails go ignored. I have called and emailed in order to get through to anyone and get passed through to different numbers, only to be told someone will get in contact. I get one email saying they need a name on the receipt to prove it’s me and after I send the photos again it has still gone ignored. I know it’s only £25.80 but what am I paying for if refunds arent processed? Very disappointed with the customer service so far and lack of support, forcing me to ring and email various contacts just to get ignored. I have another dentist trip today for preventative measures as Im going to work on a cruise ship for 9 months and want to make sure my teeth are in good health, but I’m already dreading the process of claiming this back. Very disappointed with the service so far and feeling scammed :(

On line claim system doesn’t recognise my policy number, reply to emails poor, no details sent about allowances left or how the rolling claim period works. A detailed update needs to be sent after each claim.

It’s difficult to make a claim. The software is really clunky. Also, it’s not good value anymore as NHS dentists are now only seeing patients every 12 months. I’m considering cancelling this policy.

Not answering emails promptly, regarding refunding money they owe me, difficult to get hold of , emails do not have company name on so hard to find them, especially historic ones. I could say more but will wait to see If they get better before I go in hard.

Sorry to report that UKHealthcare have still failed to contact me with regards to a complaint I made 2 months ago This concerns a lack of clarity on my welcome letter which states my policy start date but DOES NOT state it operates a rolling program of renewal I have fallen foul of this system because I cannot access my claims history and I have no recollection of precise dates Why do they not have an easy to navigate claims history tab ? If this wasn’t a company scheme - I would return to our last provider

The admin system appears to be very manual, if a change is made to your corporate contract, it doesn’t appear to have been communicated to their staff. They will reject claims, and you then need to argue this, until the person goes and checks and realises that the contract had changed and you’re actually eligible for a payout. This month they’ve been very slow to respond, I made a claim on 5th Jan and still hadn’t got the money back. I’m just getting a generic response that it’s been forwarded to some other team, then weeks of silence.

Having submitted a claim over three weeks ago and twice supplying the info they required l am now being asked for more info showing exactly what l have supplied. Not impressed if this is the norm every time a claim is submitted. This company is certainly not recommended ....useless.

I feel cheated by this company. There is no point of paying any premiums when you can’t even claim the simplest amount for dental services. What is the point for having a dental insurance policy when you can’t even claim. Is this for reaping people off and making money out of ordinary people who are struggling to make ends meet?

I realise that up to date information may be required, however it costs £25.00 to obtain a letter from a doctor to state my health needs, which at present I cannot afford due to high living costs which also causes stress which my treatment for reflexology helps me to cope with.
