“Made the mistake of ordering with The Pi Hut late on the 20th of December, paid £9.99 for express next day delivery as I was hoping to receive the Raspberry Pi 4 and accessories before Christmas. I received a confirmation e-mail on the 21st saying that the goods had been dispatched and also got tracking info with DHL, having paid for next day delivery I was therefore expecting my order on Friday 22nd (the last working day before Christmas). That didn’t happen!! Contacted DHL who said the goods hadn’t yet been received from Pi Hut, only the shipping label had been created. Tried e-mailing customer support (they were closed until the 2nd of January), tried e-mailing Jamie Mann (the MD) and never received a response. It ended up being 15 DAYS until I finally heard from customer services saying I should hopefully receive my goods by the end of the week (very vague), they made a half hearted apology and blamed DHL. I waited a few more days, why they didn’t simply send out replacement goods right away I don’t know? After a lot of back and forth I was finally offered a full refund which I gladly accepted. Basically they took my money, I got nothing in return except stress and aggravation. The customer service response is slow at best and non existent over the Christmas period. A staggering 22 days later I had my refund and was right back where I started. Christmas project plans (dependent on the Pi) ruined. In stark contrast I eventually ordered from Amazon and got the same item for a few pounds more less than 20 hours after ordering…lesson learned. I hate to leave negative reviews but having had such a negative experience I simply had to. Poor customer service, slow response time, lack of empathy, unable to quickly resolve issues and passed the blame rather than accept any responsibility. Never, ever again! Take no notice to the inevitable BS reply to this review, they were dire! Order with them at your peril.”

“Ordered on 27/12/23, paid next day £9.99. Didn't receive a dispatch email or a response from support for over a week. They completely ignored my cancellation & refund request and sent the product anyway (after I'd contacted DHL and found they hadn't even received it yet). Only when I refused the delivery from DHL did they acknowledge a refund... Still waiting. Truly an awful experience, won't buy from PiHut again. Delivery 1/5 Customer Support 1/5”

“Still waiting for my order despite paying for next day delivery and being advised that the order shipped on the 20th December. It is now 3rd January and I have been charged £120 for items I haven’t received with no update on the situation and no telephone number available to contact anyone. Very poor service.”

“Preorder of the new Pi5. I was one of the first to order when the pre-order mail arrived in the inbox. Do I got first in line to receive. After a while, looking at reviews I found out I needed the cooling system as well. Ordered that, and the person who joined the two orders together failed to put the correct date/batch, or put me in front again. So I jumped back in line, due to human error or poor systems. Haven´t still received my Pi. Probably stuck or missing in post, as DHL has spent a week without anything happening at the sorting facility. That is QUITE unusual. Sendt 15 days ago, It usually only takes 3-4 days. I have spent over £660 ordering from The PiHut, and this is probably the last time. So, Just ONE star this time! Best, Steve”

“I ordered the m5stickc plus and i would of thought that a cable would be included to atleast charge the m5stick. So i had to spend more money to buy a charger and then even more money on a data transfer cable. The device wouldnt connect to a website that flashes firmware but in the end i just used m5burner and device works okay just doesnt turn on sometimes even on a full charge. Dissapointing but i fixed it.”

“The packaging for the products was substandard. There was no packing material inside the box, so the products were able to move around freely. Not the best situation for sensitive electronics! When I received this, the outside package was damaged. Looking inside the PI board package was damaged also. I have not had a chance to try it yet. My advice is that you need to double box these electronics as well as use some type of packing material to keep them from banging around each other in the box.”

“I've ordered from PiHut before with success, but the last experience was very disappointing. I've ordered Advent calendars for my children with express shipping and tracking, since they are a time sensitive item. PiHut messed up the order and sent a part of it standard mail, so the kids did not get in time for the start of Advent. We also can't track it to see if it will ever arrive before Christmas now.”
