“Bed and mattress ordered 29.03.19 with 6-8 week delivery period. Due 10-24 May 2019. Now on 9 weeks and still not here. Been given 2 delivery slots a day apart and both were cancelled by courier Arrow XL during the time slot I had been given. So have taken time off work for no reason. Only contact is by text message confirming slot then cancelling. Cannot get through to Arrow XL on web chat or answering phones which go on and on with a 0333 charge number. I waited 16 mins before giving up. Emails to Original Bedstead go unanswered and have left 3 voice messages today on their various numbers and no-one has rung me back. Paid a LOT of money for a bed and mattress and wish I had just gone to John Lewis......”

“Very happy with the iron bed we ordered. This is the second time I have purchased from this company. The product comes so well packaged and the quality is really good. The only thing I would change, is sooner delivery think we waited 8 weeks, and we were advised this when we ordered, but this still did not deter me from ordering, would just be nice if it had been sooner, worth the wait.”

“Chosen for it's extra height setting the metal bed frame is fantastic. Very well made and sturdy when assembled unlike many cheaper beds which look similar. Nice detailing on the frame. Good servive, was kept informed about dispatch date and delivery. Arrived exactly at time arranged I couldnt be happier”

“All aspects of my purchase were excellent and went extremely smoothly, from the ordering and advice given, the delivery, with several updates informing me of progress, the care taken in wrapping the bed, so it arrived in perfect condition and the bed itself. I LOVE IT. I even managed to put it together myself without too much trouble. I bought the OLIVIA double and it's lovely: well made with the best mattress I have ever had. I just love being in it! I thoroughly recommend the Original Bed Company without any hesitation.”

“We are pleased with the finished bed and how it looks although have yet to sleep on it. However having spent the afternoon trying to assemble the bed and drawers we were not impressed with the instruction manual which was not clear at all, especially for the drawers. The diagrams don't show you close ups when putting bolts together and for the drawers it was photos rather than diagrams which are very difficult to interpret. Also the drawers are rather flimsy, they just hook onto the frame, and are not part of the bed and so we wish we hadn't bothered with them.”

“I ordered the Hamilton bed frame and cotton jute mattress - although it took overs 3 months to arrive ( made to order) the wait was worth every second! Million times better than ‘reconditioned’, which had been my consideration for the previous few months - researching websites and eBay. I climb into bed every night and enjoy a huge sense of welcoming comfort and style. Love love love it! Thank you.”

“Jamyang at your Chelsea shop was extremely helpful with my decision which frame and mattress to get. The arrangement to get the mattress earlier was so very helpful as I did not have a bed for 8 weeks while the frame was being hand made. He was also very quick to sort out the delivery process and to confirm whenever it was necessary. The bed is very smart and very comfortable. Many thanks to Jamyang.”

“I'm from the US and The Original Bedstead Company took no issue with shipping me the large packages for my bed frame. They walked me through their payment process and kept me up to date on everything from tracking numbers to receipts. On top of that, my bed was easy to put together and doesn't squeak! 10/10 would recommend!”

“I never like ordering online without having ‘seen’ the product for real. However, I already have a bed frame from The Original Bedstead Company that is still in excellent condition after 17 years, so I hoped that it the ‘Solomon’ iron bed would be the same quality. I have to say I am more than delighted with this bed frame, the website gave very precise and helpful information and photos together with an indication of what the chosen colour would look like. The bed frame looks absolutely fabulous, great quality given the very reasonable price. Another reason for liking these bed frames is the choice of height from the floor, there is so much room for extra storage underneath!”
