“The beds are well made and look very good. The assembly instructions could be improved. In particular, they didn't reflect the new design of the bed (no end) which meant that I spent some time looking for some parts which were not there. I am also left with some bits of plastic I am not sure what to do with. Mind you, I am nearly 75!! By the time I assembled the third one (I ordered three) it was almost a smooth ride. Communication was excellent.”

“The bed is lovely, the instructions not so much. You could learn a thing or two from Ikea OR you could put a link with QR code to your YouTube video with the full set of instructions. I chanced upon the video after spending a good few hours trying to decipher the piddling photocopied instructions. It’s not a cheap bed but your instructions are. Set it up right at the outset.”

“Helpfull and so far comfy but early days they kept their promise more or less and bed was here in time for her to sleep in though still being put up, they dot give assistance luckily had 2 sons to help”

“I’m so pleased with my new bed - thank you. The whole process was very easy and lots of options. The frame and mattress selection offered lots of choices, including iron and fabric bedsteads and a range of mattress fillings. The mattress is probably the nicest mattress I’ve ever slept on. The juno filled with natural fibres so wool, cashmere etc. Once the order was placed, the following up with the staff/team was very good and David answered all of my questions. They really did compete on service and quality. The bed frame and mattress were delivered at the same time, good communication en route, assembly completed onsite and disposal of its predecessor. The wooden slats on the bed too were poplar wood so very nice. The quality of my sleep has improved so much as a result, I can’t thank you enough. Excellent value for the money paid - probably one of the best bed purchases I’ve made! The bed was made to order so worth noting it takes a few months but once it was ready, it was delivered almost immediately and to an agreed delivery day.”

“The bed is great, beautiful infact. However, the instructions are poor. We purchased the under bed storage drawers and cannot figure out how to fit them. The instructions are particulalrly poor for these. We've messaged and phone and there has been no response what so ever. Very disappointing. I would have liked to have given 5 stars.”

“Can't fault our experience with the Company. Although yet to unbox and put the bed together as decorating the room, from ordering online to being processed and despatched it was all very prompt. Two helpful gentleman delivered and kept us informed as to arrival. Happy customer!”

“My Wife and I visited the shop in Kings Road London in January or late in December and saw a number of beds which were particularly reasonably priced compared to the competition. We particularly were attracted to the metal frame beds of which we chose the 5' "iron" Hamilton bed in satin black with brass "bits" and a high frame end. It is so comfortable compared to out old bed and very well made and easy to put together but you will need a mate to help.”

“Bed is lovely just a couple of issues but nothing major there was a very small scratch on the bottom of the frame and one of the screws when securing the slates at the base would not go in, fortunately managed to get it secure”

“I would have liked to have given 5 stars but there were definitely some issues. I will start by saying that I love the bed and the mattress. The mattress is exceptionally comfortable. The issues: When I went to the store they told me I could have the mattress delivered right away, since they were generally in stock and I would only need to wait for the frame. NOT true and I wound up having to sleep on the floor of my new flat for two weeks. The mattress and bed frame came together. I purchased a double and was able to assemble myself, it is not too difficult. The frame had a small chip on it. I contacted the company to ask for a small sample to repair it with and have not received a response. I have an ivory colored frame so the chip is rather noticeable. Luckily the end of my bed cover hides the chip. Taking away 2 stars for poor customer service.”

Hi Cristina, Many thanks for your review and we're pleased to hear that you are happy with the products themselves. I can see that you ordered your bed and mattress online where we send a confirmation stating that all items will be delivered together unless requested to be sent separately. The main reason for this is that 99% of the time customer's prefer this. As stated in the confirmation, we can send items separately if requested, but I can see no request for this. Sorry you had to sleep on the floor, we would have been more than happy to send your mattress first, without the bed. We just need instruction that this is what the customer wants. I can also see your request for touch up paint from a month ago, as well as confirmation it was being sent. We will get some more sent out today. Best wishes, The Original Bed Co.

“Ordered a king size Arran bed. It took the full 10 weeks and is a stunning bed. Well worth the wait. A minor issue with one of the bolts not catching its thread, but other than that, with a bit of help was straightforward to assemble. Would have been 5 stars if it wasn’t for the delivery. The bed came in a 67kg package, which the couriers struggled to get in the house, and in doing so cracked a number of Victorian hallway tiles. OBC were apologetic and have heard nothing from the courier. Not sure who is at fault here. Silly really packing it all in 1 box and the courier should have been more careful.”

“The mattress is fantastic and we are really pleased with the quality and the price. Easy to order and delivery prompt. My only small complaint is that the delivery men were a bit grumpy and non communicative. They were not happy about taking the mattress upstairs even though I had requested it .”

“I love my bed frame it’s sturdy and what a difference it makes, although it’s the same mattress I had before (as it was fairly new) it is so much more comfortable. My new bed feels luxurious! I’ve had some issues with the drawers, however, the Original Bed Company was quick to help resolve the issues! The bed was fairly straightforward to put together until it came to putting on the chrome tops. I don’t feel this part of the instructions is clear and I feel they should be added before it suggests it as the bed once made is very heavy. If I had not had issues with two drawers I would have given 5 stars.”

“The bed is sturdy and went together as expected. It doesn't squeak at all. I appreciate the design features such as the wood slats and height adjustment options so I don't need to use an additional box springs. We opted for the under bed storage and love that addition as well. The only downside was that it took 11 weeks to arrive--longer than the estimate given at the time my order.”

“Great bed very well made and sturdy. This is our fourth metal bedframe from the Original Bed Company. The packaging was absolutely filthy which made unwrapping the bed frame inside our home very difficult.”

“This is our fourth OBC bed and our previous experience led us to purchase this one for our own use. We are delighted with both the experience of dealing with OBC and the quality. The only reason that I have downgraded to four stars is that what appeared to be rust from the inside, fell on the brand new carpet and left a mark. This is something that needs to be addressed before the bed leaves the factory.”
