“The quality of the beds ais really super and we are very pleased indeed with them BUT the wrong slats were sent with the wrong bed and we had to have a second delivery of slats and the two beds we ordered are in fact slightly different in construction - they did deliver the corect slats very quickly and both Matthew and Tanya were very efficient and helpful. However once the mattresses are on that does not detract from the finished product.”

“I bought the Olivia double bed and Juno one mattress and am really pleased with the whole experience. The delivery man was very helpful and on time and I managed to assemble the bed on my own with the aid of a few piles of books for support. It's so comfortable. The mattress is sumptuously deep and I can't remember having such a good nights sleep on such a pretty bed. 5 stars Original Bedstead Company. I would recommend to anyone.”

“I was overall very happy dealing with The Original Bedstead Company. Tanya was very helpful, and we're delighted with the bed. It looks great and was easy to put together. The only issue I had was with the delivery - I had requested Saturday delivery, which was agreed. However the courier they used contacted me on Friday afternoon, saying they were outside my house and didn't work on Saturdays, meaning I had to leave work early to run home and accept the delivery. Despite that, I am happy I dealt directly with the company - I got a great bed at a great price!”

“The bed was “in stock” when I placed the order so was expecting a quick delivery. I then received an e-mail to say that there was a part of it that was out of stock and it would be up to two weeks. 5 weeks later, with no additional communication I finally got an e-mail to say it was ready to be delivered. I live in a flat on the 4th floor with a lift. I thought the delivery driver would deliver the bed to my front door. Sadly not the case. I had to take it from the back of the lorry myself and get it into my flat with no help from the delivery driver. He basically was just a driver. The bed itself is nice, took a while to put together. The bed isn’t overly expensive and this is reflected in the quality.”

“After placing the order I was told I had to wait 8 weeks for the goods,which was a little disappointing as the bed frame was an Anniversary present!!Plus I think it's a real pity the Original Bed Company do not offer the lovely black& gold antique finish for their frames anymore....I would have been willing to pay extra for it!! On the other hand glad they still offer a choice of bed heights.”

Hi, Many thanks for your review. Sorry to hear of your disappointment regarding the textured black with gold highlight finish. Unfortunately we did not sell sufficient quantities in this finish to continue offering it. The option to change the height setting of the base does remain popular though, so we have kept this feature on our iron bedsteads. In regards to the lead time, this is always displayed pre-purchase to ensure that customers can either plan around a lead time, or choose one of the many other models in stock. “Thank you for the fabulous service in every way. I received my bespoke-painted bed last Tuesday and I'm very, very happy with it! It came so much faster than I anticipated and David delivered and installed it perfectly. He was careful in getting it up my incredibly narrow cottage stairs and was charming. He's a real credit to your company. I was concerned that the painting of the bed would be haphazard, but it's perfect. It's a very well crafted and solid piece of furniture. Five stars in every way—customer service, product.”

“I searched for ages for a bed with the authentic vintage look but wanted a low bedstead end - and there is was, lovely ivory colour. Variable bed heights and option of same colour under drawers for storage! The quality is totally robust. Super price too!! Ordered straight away and service knowledgeable. Delivery prompt and organised. I would Recommend this firm.”

“I am thrilled with my new iron bed. It looks just like I had hoped. As you said in the notes ,I did need help to put it up, but it was very easy for two people. The bed is nice and solid,no squeeks . It arrived on time and in perfect condition.”

“From beginning to end this was an excellent buying process.
