“The delivery company were great (I'd been worried about the narrow road), and the parts of the bed were brilliantly wrapped to protect from damage. All the parts were there and nothing was damaged. I could never have assembled it myself, but my youngest son did it single-handedly. There was only one part that was really difficult to put together (it wasn't possible to see what the screw was supposed to be locking in to) but my son managed it in the end. I am really pleased with the final result: the bed frame is sturdy but very elegant. I also bought a firm mattress which is less firm than I thought it would be, but still comfortable.”

“I would have liked to have given 5 stars but there were definitely some issues. I will start by saying that I love the bed and the mattress. The mattress is exceptionally comfortable. The issues: When I went to the store they told me I could have the mattress delivered right away, since they were generally in stock and I would only need to wait for the frame. NOT true and I wound up having to sleep on the floor of my new flat for two weeks. The mattress and bed frame came together. I purchased a double and was able to assemble myself, it is not too difficult. The frame had a small chip on it. I contacted the company to ask for a small sample to repair it with and have not received a response. I have an ivory colored frame so the chip is rather noticeable. Luckily the end of my bed cover hides the chip. Taking away 2 stars for poor customer service.”

Hi Cristina, Many thanks for your review and we're pleased to hear that you are happy with the products themselves. I can see that you ordered your bed and mattress online where we send a confirmation stating that all items will be delivered together unless requested to be sent separately. The main reason for this is that 99% of the time customer's prefer this. As stated in the confirmation, we can send items separately if requested, but I can see no request for this. Sorry you had to sleep on the floor, we would have been more than happy to send your mattress first, without the bed. We just need instruction that this is what the customer wants. I can also see your request for touch up paint from a month ago, as well as confirmation it was being sent. We will get some more sent out today. Best wishes, The Original Bed Co.

“Having had the most comfortable nights sleep in an Air BB. I photographed the label of the mattress and looked up on the computer and ordered one. I have no regrets and am absolutely delighted with the mattress and the first class service I received from the company. Thank you for the great service”

“Brought my Hamilton bed frame and Juno mattress in October, as my previous bed had become so uncomfortable. Bed delivered and assembled by David. Very professional, respectful and friendly. It was a quick delivery. The whole process from order to deliver went smoothly. The staff were friendly and very helpful with any questions I had and reassuring. My mattress is very comfortable. No more tossing and turning at night. I would definitely recommend this company.”

“Ordered a king size Arran bed. It took the full 10 weeks and is a stunning bed. Well worth the wait. A minor issue with one of the bolts not catching its thread, but other than that, with a bit of help was straightforward to assemble. Would have been 5 stars if it wasn’t for the delivery. The bed came in a 67kg package, which the couriers struggled to get in the house, and in doing so cracked a number of Victorian hallway tiles. OBC were apologetic and have heard nothing from the courier. Not sure who is at fault here. Silly really packing it all in 1 box and the courier should have been more careful.”

“I ordered the Timolin Iron bed and few weeks ago. From delivery to putting it together it all went very well. I ordered the below drawer storage, which is really helpful. I must say it is the best bed and mattress I have owned, and looks fantastic too. I would definitely recommend the company and beds, you will not regret it.”

“The mattress is fantastic and we are really pleased with the quality and the price. Easy to order and delivery prompt. My only small complaint is that the delivery men were a bit grumpy and non communicative. They were not happy about taking the mattress upstairs even though I had requested it .”

“I was refunded for the bedframe which was excessively rusty and I sent photographs of this as it was all over my carpet, hands and clothing. They have not refunded/compensated the delivery cost of £35 for a badly defective item, the cost of £20 for the bed repackaged, as required for returns, nor the £20 I had to pay to dispose of the dirty and mouldy packaging I did not want in my house. This was observed by delivery men as they reluctantly took it to room of choice in fear the dirt would mark the white walls. I felt I should have been compensated for the expense and inconvenience, and damage to my carpet and clothing. The rust literally fell out of the tubing when the already damaged plastic foot cap fell off. The rusty smaller parts were only partly unpacked to avoid more mess. They have deducted £20 from refund they initially gave as gesture of good will. My emails were extremely polite and mostly ignored. This site will not accept/upload my photos of excessive rust.”
