“I ordered a bed frame and it was way beyond my exspectations when it arrived. A beautiful bed stunningly crafted from strong metal and brass,I could actually feel the quality. This bed company is probably one of the best I have found after looking months for a new bed. I am extremely pleased with my purchase and would definately recommend original bed co.”

“I adore my new bed. It’s pretty, girly, and exceptionally good quality. It’s not hard to put together either. It advises 2-person assembly but, I managed it alone (girl power)! My fat Teddy-cat loves it too.”

“Bed is lovely just a couple of issues but nothing major there was a very small scratch on the bottom of the frame and one of the screws when securing the slates at the base would not go in, fortunately managed to get it secure”

“Dream bed… And experience. Some may wish more emails and updates, however; we were happy with the excitement of “oh when will the bed be ready?”… “oh it’s due in a week or so!”. We chose brass frame and a wool mattress… both are wonderful in quality, comfort and design etc. I honestly have no idea why anyone would go to the mainstream brands found on retail parks. I feel we got tremendous quality and value with The Original Bed Company.”

“This is our second iron frame bedstead. Our other bedstead last 20 years. We are so pleased with our new bed and it's so comfortable and we are getting a good night sleep. I will certainly recommend your company to family and friends.”

“The bed itself is good quality and looks lovely. Only given 3 stars as the directions were a nightmare, hundreds of screws and the printed paperwork to follow was faded and hard to read.”

Hi, I'm pleased to hear that you are happy with the look and quality of the bed. We use high quality fabrics and fillings, so it's pleasing to see this being noticed by our customers. Thanks for your feedback on the screws. One common issue with beds that incorporate wood, is the use of too few fittings and screws. This results in each fitting taking too much load and stress causing squeaking, creaking, and the bed to eventually break. This doesn't fit with our ethos on long lasting quality products at a fair price. As such, we include a few extra fittings in our upholstered beds, to achieve a sturdy product that doesn't squeak, doesn't creak, and will stand the test of time. Thanks again for your feedback. “Really disapointed. We chose the Athlone but nowhere in the advert were there dimensions. The bed is not height adjustable and is very high, and I mean VERY. My husband is 2m tall and he moans its too high, im 150cm so I have to take a jump and pull my self up by the metal headboard. I wish I had returned it in time. Ive just bought what was advertised as the thinnest, comfiest mattress available (having just bought a very expensive normal height mattress) in the hope that it helps. The photo shows the bed higher than the chest of drawers beside it.”

Hi, Many thanks for your review. Sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your bed delivered back in November. We do advertise the dimensions for each bed on their respective pages, which you must have missed. We also advertise the Athalone as having a single height setting of 17" on its product page. This is one of a very few Iron beds that only has one height setting, which is due to its curved legs not allowing for the frame to be set at the lower 14" height. We're very confident in the quality of our product, as well as the transparency and product information on our website. We're also very happy to honour our 20 day no quibbles returns policy if a bed isn't right for a customer. “The bed 🛌 is high quality and easy to assemble, especially if you have three flights of stairs to your room. Our house is a spiral stairs and this bed comes flat packed. The best thing you can do is open it up on the bottom stairs before taken it up peace by peace. Really highly recommend was searching for a new bed as old one was to wide to go up. Customer service as well, best I have seen really helpful staff. Top quality!!!!!”

“I needed a new mattress and wanted to find one made in the UK and of natural materials, so was delighted when I found the Juno mattress on the OBC website. Ordering was very straightforward and the delivery was arranged professionally. It looks exactly as the photograph. I had not realised how uncomfortable my old mattress was until I slept on this one - and it is so cosy too! I couldn't recommend these mattresses more highly and will definitely order from OBC again.”
