“The quantity of logs has reduced from a year or 2 back, but price has gone up ....as is expected. The crate the logs are in was leaning badly and risks falling over and could kill someone. The driver told me he had had crates collapse and he had only worked there 4 weeks!”

“Staff extremely helpful. Product quality excellent. Only disappointment is the massive delivery charge for post codes outwith what would appear to be their usual courier area although many other companies have no extra charge for the same post codes.”

“Extremely disappointed in the kiln dried Ash logs delivered when compared to previous supplies from other companies. The logs are difficult to keep alight and do not burn as readily or with the quality of flame that was promised. I will NOT be purchasing from this supplier again..”

“I have used (and recommended to others)The Luxury Wood Company for some time now. However on this occasion I was disappointed with the quality of the wood supplied. Many of the logs were small and split and almost just slivers of wood and bark, more akin to kindling rather than substantial logs. I wonder if inadvertently I have been supplied with the cheaper grade two version of the product??? This was certainly an inferior offering and will make me seriously consider my options the next time I purchase my kiln dried logs. SG”

“All good with order and delivery. First class. Some of the wood however was so large that it wont fit in my burner! The length was great but in terms of size It could have done with being broken down into smaller sizes”

“Normally the service from LWC is excellent. However the latest delivery from them has been disappointing. I'm not complaining about the time of delivery or it's manner of arrival, ditto the packaging. The logs - Alder - I believe, are of poor quality and certainly oversized for our small Stovax stove. They need an excessive amount of kindling and continuous tending to maintain a good fire despite having newly swept chimney at the start of Autumn. All in all not really a good advertisement for LWC.”

“Wood - excellent as always, nicely packed great wood..... However!!!! Delivery was an absolute nightmare. Was promised delivery on the first Friday, nothing, no show no phone call nothing. Called up and was promised by the next Friday AM delivery.... no show again. Then called three times Friday afternoon and could not get through, waited 15 minutes on each occasion to get an answerphone, left a message 3 times and no one answered. Final (fourth call) after no one called me back to get a message saying the "office is now closed until the Monday morning". Logs finally showed up around one month after delivery. Received a credit note for some compensation which was appreciated, but not received, 2 weeks and counting, not sure if it will show up or not? I'm sorry to leave this review, but I was asked what my opinion is and I can only report as per the facts. Shame - been using Luxury Wood for years, but it's gone down hill for some reason? Summary. Great product. But nightmare logistics and customer service in terms of answering the phone.”

“The customer service when ordering was excellent and very helpful. However the delivery company not so, only gave me 10 minute notice of my delivery arrival and then was not best impressed that he had to wait for the fork lift driver. A number of the bags of pellets was also split.”
