“I cannot fault the kiln dried Ash firewood supplied in easy to handle netting bags HOWEVER have found the delivery of the wood to be unacceptable. The delivery company refused to drive down the unadopted lane to my garage and back gate. The driver then left the pallet on my neighbours driveway and I had to use a wheelbarrow to move the bags to my garage. I cannot understand their reluctance as the lane is used by council refuse trucks and skip lorries all the time. Perhaps you can take it up with the carrier and make quite clear the delivery needs to be to the back gate or I will not accept the order. R.N.Enraght-Moony”

“I’m really thrilled with my pallet of logs delivered promptly at arranged time. Having struggled with dubious quality wood - often with wet/sparking logs amidst the pile, I now have dry, easy to light, sustained 🔥 flame, so much easier all round. The only thing I miss is that wood smell 👃 however well outweighed by the convenience of your ECO friendly (I would not have bought otherwise) luxury wood.”

“Unhappy re the quality of the wood included in recent delivery. Previously very pleased with size, standard and uniformity but that in the “middle” of this one- tonne crate was very disappointing. Small and broken, - clearly “leftovers”. I will not be ordering from Luxury Wood in the future.”

“Excellent delivery , wood, oak as ordered and burning very nicely in wood burner. Thank you for your help, I needed a delayed delivery and on a certain date, all went very well. We wish you well for 2021. Back soon, especially if this cold weather keeps up. Peter and Dorothy Thomas”

“I have had two previous large crate deliveries of hardwood logs from The Luxury Wood Company, both of which have been excellent, absolutely no complaints. However this recent batch is very different. The logs were supplied as ordered in a bulk extra large bag, and were sold as Birch with Alder mix. I would like to share with you the following observations; 1 - There appears to be very little 'Birch' in the delivery (based on the type of birch delivered previously), it is mostly made up of Alder? and other. 2 - The size of the logs by way of volume, is far to bulky for my log burner again compared with the previous birch delivery, and while the length is fine, the width means that I have had to hand split about 70% of the batch. 3 - Luxury wood... not really in this case, and considering what I received it was a bit expensive.”

“Good company to deal with, prices vary, and I do shop around, but all the Firewood is good quality and the extra large crate is very good. No problem with delivery, the only thing this time was not knowing when it was due to arrive. Hence 4 stars rather than 5 . I enquired by email after 3 days and it arrived within the next 4 days after that.”

“Previously I got my firewood from a well known local supplier but was never really happy with the product. Often there would be rotten wood hidden within the pallet. When I saw the Luxury Wood web site I initially thought the wood was a bit on the expensive side compared with what I'd been spending but not too much so decided to give it a go. Not only is the wood of excellent quality all the way through the pallet but there's so much of it for the price. Excellent value.”

“Bit disappointed with this delivery. Chose a mixed hardwood crate for a change as usually only order ones of a particular wood. This seems more seasoned rather than kiln dried. Logs very dirty with lots of bark and twigs in it. I know logs are a natural product but lots of thick bark and such dirties up the glass on my burner so quickly and is a job to clean off. Won't be ordering this again.”

“Logs were packed so tightly I had difficulty in getting the first few out - so quantity supplied was impressive! Delivery driver was extremely helpful and pleasant (unlike the delivery driver a couple of years ago) The quality of the oak supplied is excellent too and burns well.”

“Have bought loads from this company,kiln dried logs are brilliant couldn't ask for a better product.However the heat logs are not the best I've purchased. There is a lot of dust in the bags and care is needed when handling not to break bits off. They burn with flame at the beginning of the fire but quite quickly turn to a black burn which stains the glass and they the produce a lot of ash. Will not buy again.”

Dear Derek, I am sorry you are not happy with that new product. You can try Co-Firing where you combine kiln dried logs with briquettes for better results.
