“Kiln dried ash good. Oak small pieces and considerably less volume. Not worth the extra price.”

Hi David, all the logs should be between 8-15cm in width and the volume must be as stated on the website. If you have not received this please contact us so we can arrange compensation.

“Ordering is easy and straightforward with polite calls advisors. Where it all falls down is the delivery of the order, despite repeated requests to have notification prior to delivery this still does not happen and on average 3 or 4 bags are damaged but not empty losing up to 25% of its contents through careless handling (your courier uses sub contractors to deliver up to us in the Highlands of Scotland). Still the best deal to be found despite the new delivery charge which could impact on my decision to reorder should this rise in tandem with the price of the wood pellets.”

Hi Peter - you should always be called and have the day booked in, and te delivery should arrive on the day agreed. We will be talking with this depot to find out what went wrong here.

“The Wood and Pallet etc were as described - so I feel i got what I paid for at a reasonable price. But the delivery arrived unannounced - I was told i would get a call, i did not, i got a knock at the door at 8am when i was about to leave for work. Failed my test - do what you say you are going to do ALWAYS!”

Hi Gary - this should never happen. We tell customers to refuse to sign for goods that have come without the depot booking in the date with you directly. We will be looking into why this happened

“I have not yet started using the wood pellets so cannot comment on the quality. Delivery and customer service terrible. I was given times for delivery three times each time failed to arrive and I had to contact the haulage firm to find out what had happened. Delivery finally made on fourth appointment. I emailed Luxury Wood to complain that I had wasted three mornings waiting for delivery which did not happen and explained in detail the inadequate excuses given by the hauliers (eg new driver failed to follow instructions and looked for driveway on the left when the instructions said on the right). I asked for compensation and was offered a £5 per pallet reduction on my next order as I usually order two pallets I felt this was inadequate and emailed to that effect but dispite emailing several times have not received a response.”

“They sell the product at a reasonable price but what really sells it to me is the courier they use for my area. They are so very helpful and make the process so much easier. Having a tonne of pellets delivered in the rain when your husband is at work is not a pleasant experience when you have a difficult driver (the reason I stopped placing orders with another company) but our local haulier don't see us as a problem.”

“My order came promptly, The driver was freindly and helpful in suggesting ways to get my delivery to my storage area. In respect to the kiln dried wood I was very pleased that it was of uniform cut, densely packed on the pallet and wrapped so as to protect it from getting wet during the delivery process. I,m almost looking forward to winter but would rather look at the dried wood neatly packed away whilst drinking beer in the sun on the patio.”

“Delivery prompt and driver very helpful getting pallet just where I wanted. Logs superb moisture content in logs I checked below 12%. Price especially summer offer very competitive. Only one thing not to my satisfaction was I asked operator for peat sample and she said it wasn't possible. This is not what web site said when I checked later. I would recommend to everyone for log burners”

“The crate was well packed. The only criticisms was the good quality wood was on the outside hiding the poor quality logs in the middle. The aftercare was very quick resulting in a positive outcome. Issue now resolved thanks.”

“Returned for the second time to buy the netted logs again. Good to see that the pallet arrived much better packed than last time as previously it just fell off the lorry. We buy the logs netted as it is much easier to handle and store. They burn very well and give plenty of heat. Will be back the next time we need logs.”
