“Delivery was arranged for the Monday however the delivery driver was unable to unload my order (wood + peat) due to its weight so had to come back the next day with the appropriate lifting gear to get it off the delivery truck.”

Dear James, thanks for the feedback. We will be speaking to this depot to find out why the appropriate tail lift was not sent in the first place as they should always arrive with correct equipment

“I ordered my logs in nets this time in anticipation of another major spillage of logs over my sloping driveway. (Not from your firm.) I need not have worried - you had wrapped the pallets well in response to my request. I also note that you had changed to Inter County Freight for the delivery from Launceston depot. The driver Jamie was extremely helpful & took both my pallets to their final destination in my shed with no damage. (Kerbside delivery not possible, we live down a single track country lane). When organising delivery it is crucial to ask for a driver that has an ELECTRIC pallet truck - on a slope it makes the difference of keeping the pallets upright or losing them. Have not burnt any of this load yet, but if they are the quality of my previous consignment, they will be just fine. I do feel slightly guilty that my logs have travelled so many road miles, possibly from eastern Europe. One of your major competitors continually emails me that their logs are all UK sourced & I have used them & they are very good but so expensive. Crazy or what?”

“Great quality logs again in time for the Autumn! Super service from ordering to delivery, driver has delivered the last 3 loads of logs and so helpful to get the logs to our home, not the easiest of tasks. Look forward to the winter nights in front of the fire - thanks Richard & Dawn Collings”

“great product, but your delivery company when I phoned them to find out about the delivery slots I was told that it was a 9 hour slot and that they could not tell me what time of the day the truck would deliver my order, on which I replied....do you expect me to put in a days leave? you have to be joking. After a lengthy discussion he agreed to call me 2 hours before the delivery would take place so that I could leave work in time for the delivery, but later I get a call at work to say that the truck is at my address and there is nobody home.....this is a large crate of fantastic fire wood and has to be delivered to your house but with a 9 hour slot wont work for most customers.....the driver did come back later when I got home from work, but with online shopping today surely there needs to be better system to deliver our orders.”

“The wood is very good quality and very dry - fantastic for my stove and a good price, especially with the pre-winter offer. All praise is also due to the wonderful delivery driver who backed the big lorry up the narrow, steep, one-way street so that he could deliver right outside my house. Would definitely buy again.”

“The delivery was very good, in particular, as neither my wife or I were in, the driver waited whilst a neighbour contacted us and when we got back he manouvered the delivery into the garage. We've not yet lit the fire but the wood is dry, tested with damp meter, the crate it came in can also be sawn down for the fire.”

“We live off the beaten track in the highlands of Scotland, the delivery was quick ,but maybe a little bit more care could have been taken on where to actually leave the pallets, as one was actually on the main road. Unfortunately the wrong coal was delivered ,as we had specifically asked for smokeless fuel ,but the young lady I spoke to was very helpful ,and the correct coal was dispatched in double quick time ,the wood is top quality and has tremendous heat output, really in all fairness I would not fault the company, and would deal with them again.”
