“Wood (70 nets on a pallet) delivered on schedule by helpful driver. It’s lovely wood - this is the fifth year I’ve bought it. But might I suggest stronger pallets - last year the pallet broke as the wood was being unloaded on the lorry tailgate, which caused real problems (nets of wood all over the road), and this year it was seriously bowed under the weight of the wood, which made it very difficult for the driver to insert the prongs of his ‘lifter’.”

“I have used LWC for about 3 years and their kiln dried logs make excellent fuel for our wood burner. The pallets are delivered efficiently and contain a large quantity of well stacked wood. The plastic encasing the last delivery did have a puncture in the top so rain soaked in a little but the pallet was soon emptied and all's good.”

“Just bought another full crate of Ash logs. The logs are just the right size for my wood burner, they are dry and really do burn well. The delivery is usually very prompt and the crate makes for very good kindling. Overall good value for money and very pleased.”

“The product and service are excellent. However, delivery of the kiln-dried logs is only on pallets and pallet truck, making it impossible to manoeuvre from the roadside onto my gravel drive. The last load that I had delivered was tipped over as the driver tried to turn the pallet truck too sharply and the logs spilled onto the road and my garden.”

“The large pallets are too tall and very top heavy. We have had one delivery topple over as the driver attempted to move it from the tail lift onto the road. Our recent delivery could easily have gone the same way! This is not fair on the drivers, to have to deal with such an unstable load.”

“I have been buying kiln dried wood for our burner and our open fire from the Luxury Wood Company for several years now - mainly full pallets of ash and oak. I am generally very pleased - most of the wood is usually dry, clean, dense and cut to an acceptable size. It is also well packed and weather protected. However this is not invariably the case and there have been disappointments when wood has been of poor quality - mainly lightweight logs lacking substance. A small percentage of poor wood - say 5% - is ok but there are times when it has been significantly more than this. Having said that the last delivery of oak a week or two back was excellent. I have been tempted to try elswhere but our delivery driver, Paul, has been first class! So I'll hope for greater consistency in the future.”

“Product was good,delivery on day promised but no advance call. Lorry was much bigger than specified .when ringing to complain was told " not our problem" wow Driver was brilliant helped unload into trailer We could cope with up to 18 ton truck you sent 28 ton truck”

“This is the first time I have used the Luxury Wood Company purchasing a large crate of bagged ash. Can I firstly say the delivery driver was excellent and very accommodating which hasn't always been the view of others in reviews I have read before purchasing. the wood itself was packed well in easy to carry bags which was ideal. I have only used it on 2/3 occasions, so still early days but to date, I am pleased with the dryness and burn quality. The only downside from my previous supplier is the actual diameter/thickness of the logs. A significant proportion of the logs are thinner than I would have expected from the photographs (which typically show 7-8 logs in each bag whereas in reality you get 10-13 in each bag). although I'm sure this will have helped in the kiln drying process, it does mean they burn through pretty quickly which I'm not used to when burning ash. If the logs were 3-5 cm more in diameter on average then I would rated them a 5”

“Supplies are of mixed standard. Too much is split into kindling sized bits. Nevertheless, it all burns well I was disappointed to receive an e-mail from you about another sale of end of season stock discount which was larger than the discount I had received on a deal only one week before.”
