“I’ve had a few orders with the Luxury Wood Company, and in the whole I am delighted with their products and services. I typically buy 70 sacks of kiln dried Ash, which is delivered on a pallet. This is much easier to handle and move around the place to the store compared with a full load of stacked wood on a pallet, which typically takes 2 hours for me to store. Massive time saver and still good value. Delivery team are excellent, and call ahead and deliver close to our garage which is where we store our logs. The team who deliver have a powered pallet truck and are able to get across a chunky gravel drive, where in the past with other companies it was impossible and logs ended up a long way from where they were needed. The kiln dried Ash burns brilliantly, fiercely and cleanly which is great, and kindling is not required to get the logs going, where in the past with other suppliers, I’ve needed to split logs down, which is fun...for a while... Al in all, good stuff. One thing that I have noticed with my most recent delivery, is that for the same number of sacks delivered there appears to be around a quarter to a thing less wood per sack visually and weight when lugging them around, while the price has increased by a few percent since my previous order. I’m sure the team can explain this to me, and I’d be delighted to discuss this with them. However - I must stress that the company is good to deal with, they sell great products, and have the best logistics team I’ve worked with for bulky firewood delivery. These guys are my first choice for firewood.”

“Hitherto I've had nothing but positives for the company & their product. This time around, their notification of delivery day & time was all rather rushed, which resulted in my having to move all the logs from the road outside my house at the very time I'd said delivery would not be convenient...hence the score of 4 rather than 5!”

“Some deliveries have small logs. Delivery driver is excellent. Not an easy delivery but he shows care and consideration and goes the extra mile to get the load exactly where I need it. As a long term customer a loyalty discount would be nice.”

“Pleased with Kiln dried logs and burn very well, only small niggle is quite a few very small logs in the bag which burn off very quickly, otherwise all good.”

“The logs you provided are first class, well seasoned and burn very well. The delivery however was became a concern. The delivery wagon was too big to negotiate the journey down our driveway so the logs had to be dropped off a distance from where required - by the adjacent roadside, and physically pushed over into our garden, framework and polythene destroyed and the logs barrowed to location - not satisfactory.”

“Unusually the delivery company used by Luxury Wood didn't mess me about too much this time, although they still didn't deliver on the promised day (allegedly the lorry broke down) but did deliver nice and early the next day (about 10.30 am). I do find it difficult to judge value for money for your crates as none of the 4 or 5 suppliers I checked out give comparable dimensions or weights for the crates. 2 cubic metres seems very elastic in the log supply world. In my opinion gross weight of the crate would be the best guide. (I note mine was 600 kg on the delivery note). The ash logs I ordered are of good quality although some of this delivery are huge lumps which probably should have split once more.”

“Very happy with my full crate of oak which is nice and dry and burns easily. The full crate is also good value. I've dropped a star in the rating as the wood turned up unexpectedly (when I was out) with no comms from the courier. However, this was quickly resolved by the Luxury Wood Company who rearranged delivery. All in all, very happy!”

“This is my second order. I am very impressed with the quality of the kiln dried oak. It lights so easily, and in a controlled way, the heat is sufficient. I must say that better feedback as to when my order is due to arrive would be an improvement. On the second order I had to ring up to organise a delivery day. Otherwise, very happy.”

“Very good logs and well priced. Was disappointed not to be given prior notification of ETA of the delivery by the driver, although this has always happened in the past On arrival it was found that the pallet was broken so the driver and I hsd to offload the nets of logs by hand. Very helpful and friendly delivery driver. Not the first time that I have used Luxury Wood. Am happy and will use them again”
