The service was quick and efficient and the price very reasonable but the photo, which looked sharp when we emailed it came out fuzzy.

I ordered a present for my daughter's birthday a week before her special day (29th Aug); it was dispatched within 24hrs (l was informed) and because l only paid £3.99 postage, l was informed it had been sent 2nd class Royal Mail; l have still not received it!!!! (11th Sept). Customers services told me l had to wait until 6th Sept before they could declare it as missing. I am still waiting for my refund (they took the payment out the day after purchase). Disgraceful and l will not use this website again

Cushion was for a Ruby Wedding Anniversary and the colour of the writing was an orange colour. Also it came in a cardboard box with no protection round it and it was raining very heavily, very lucky it didn't get wet and damaged.

The statements on the certificate were repeated twice instead of new information.

The bracelet was beautiful but with the sizes option u would think getting a 6 means a little size bracelet whereas it is large. Also I cant return it and that is very very poor.

I ordered engraved Prosecco glasses which stated they would be in a gift box. They were not. The box was like any other you could buy from a supermarket. I complained to customer services and was told what I class as a gift box, they call a presentation box! I asked for a presentation box ( at no extra charge) to be told a presentation box would not fit the glasses! I incurred a further cost as I had to purchase a gift box. Not happy. Will not order from this company in the future

I purchased a personalised jigsaw for a gift. Ordered it 5 days before i needed it and it hadn't arrived in time. Arrived 8 working days after purchase. I choose the postage which suggested 2-3 working days for delivery. Phoned them to query to say I hadn't received my parcel and they said this was quite normal and didn't seem to be concerned. If they know this they should not be saying 2-3 days delivery. In my circumstance I wasn't able to give my gift to the person I had bought the item for. Disappointing.

i ordered a personal named graduation hanging figure for my daughter who recently completed a Phd. When it arrived it was so poor in quality I never actually gave it to my daughter. Also the packaging was way too much. A very large box arrived for such a small item. Sorry won't be ordering from you again. Sylvia Evans

Album cover is lovely but it's more like a book than an album. It arrived 3 days after the graduation , for something that only needs a typed card attached the delivery time was alimony 2 weeks. Not something you would expect in the U.K today. Disappointed for the price it cost!

Having purchased from The Gift Experience in the past and been pleased with the service and goods, my latest experienced has soured my view of them. I purchased an engraved hinged photo frame key ring which was very poor quality. Reviews indicated that it was delivered in a presentation box, which it was not. Mine was covered in fingerprints and delivered in a plastic bag. The website gave a preview of the gift as you entered the text for the engraving. The delivered product was engraved in a totally different font which is difficult to read. I was so disappointed that I wrote a review on the website and only gave the goods a star rating of 1 out of 5. The review was not published. Strange how all the 4 and 5 star reviews are still there!

This was the first time I used gift experience and it could have been I was just unlucky. I ordered a card and a personalised whiskey. I selected the two day carrier and apparently that option should not have come up for me based in ROI. However I received a lovely email saying this and that the difference in postage would be refunded, which it was. Next the card arrived but it had been folded in the wrong place and so there was a white stripe all down the front of the card and the two sides did not meet. I emailed pictures and again a lovely email back and they refunded my purchase price. However the bottle of whiskey has still not arrived (ordered 24 May) today is 12 June. I am currently waiting for a response as to where my order is. The gift was for my husband on our 35th Wedding Anniversary (5 June), hence I selected two day courier. I can see from many comments that other purchasers have really good experiences and that I have probably been unlucky on this occasion.

I have just completed survey, which confirms my rating of service - it was in the name of Lisa - the person to whom I was sending gift! There was not an opportunity in the survey to change to my name - Ann Whecdon.

I ordered a personalised Terramudi money box for First Holy Communion. When entering the personal dettails we were unable to see an example of the back of box. Its was as big as the words First Holy Communion on front and looked poor. Very embarrassing as it was gift.

Ordered Next Day delivery on a Wednesday, expecting it to arrive Friday. It arrived a day late on Saturday - I needed it on Friday, hence paying extra. Poor response from customer service - blamed it on Parcelforce. Somebody must have paid for Saturday delivery however as there is a big yellow sticker on the envelope saying 'Saturday Delivery'. This costs extra and is not available as an option to purchase. I expect a company to own up when they have made a mistake, not lie about it. I was given a frankly insulting £4 refund, the difference in cost between standard and next day delivery. But only after I had pestered their customer service agent with a couple of emails, looking for an explanation.

There was nothing wrong with the delivery, it was on time and the product was good. The problem was the gift tag was not included so the recipient had no idea who the sender was. It was only because I asked about it that the situation was resolved.

I paid for next day delivery in December - have sent a mail to ask whether the parcel had been delivered no response from that or the reminder mail. It was a sensitive gift so not appropriate to call the recipient.
