“You get what you pay for” best summarizes my experience with the Appliance Depot. I found a great product online at a price that no other retailer could beat, including free delivery. So what’s not to love? I placed my order and all went fine, until delivery had to be scheduled. When I got a text assigning me a slot for 6:00-6:30 AM I assumed that the message was sent in error (who delivers kitchen appliances at 6am - this must be 6pm?) - except that it wasn’t. Customer service certainly did not mention this part of their "service" over the phone when I agreed on a date, even though the company continues to claim the opposite. As I was In the midst of a full flat renovation, with several orders placed with different companies, I made the mistake of not following up with The Appliance Depot on their text message, and following a number of missed calls in the wee hours of delivery day, I was charged a £25 fine (reduced from £50 as a sign of goodwill) for the Appliance Depot’s second attempt for delivery. They are a small company based outside of London, and petrol costs money - I understood this argument and paid, although not happily. The order eventually arrived at 6:30am a few days later - because unlike other companies, no matter what line of business, this company prioritizes “beating London traffic” over customer service/convenience and therefore can only deliver before 7am to London addressees. The kitchen extractor I had ordered was so poorly wrapped, with tape holding broken styrofoam and ripped cardboard together, that the item arrived damaged. Unfortunately, I did not see this whilst standing with the driver in the hallway in the early morning before having to leave for work, so signed the paperwork and off the driver went. Trying to avoid more cost and inconvenience from the Appliance Depot, I’m now reaching out to the manufacturer to possibly get a spare part. Whilst I’m all in favour of supporting Amazon’s and other major retailers’ small competitors such as the Appliance Depot, my - sad -conclusion with this company is NOT WORTH IT. Next time I’m back with one of the major retailers - for the service, convenience and quality assurance they provide.

I really don't understand why there are so many bad reviews. Reading these reviews made me hesitant about buying! Yes the delivery driver did come at 6AM but this was made clear by Laura in the delivery time schedule so I did not mind. Yes one of the items did not come in original box and was indeed delivered in bubble wrap but if you're paying almost half price can you really be picky about something like that? I bought an induction hob and a downdraft extractor. They're now both installed and I couldn’t be happier! They look brand new, work perfectly and have absolutely no faults! The only thing that I was worried about was a missing piece(the faceplate) for my downdraft extractor. After reading the reviews I thought that there was no chance in getting this sorted but I gave them a call anyways and guess what? Laura understood the situation, sorted out the missing piece and delivered it to my address within 3 days all without fuss! Keep doing what you do Laura! I'm positive that the negative reviews will soon be taken over by all the good ones you're bringing.

Well, I don't know why the other reviews are so bad and to be honest I was a little apprehensive about buying from The Appliance Depot after reading the reviews. However, I have to say that we were very pleased indeed! The Appliance Depot had a great range at the cheapest prices, and what's more; Laura was just amazing! We, on the other hand, were a real pain in the backside; changing our mind after ordering online and choosing another item, bringing that one home to find it was too big, returning it to swap for another, and all through this Laura was polite, patient and very understanding, even though they were short-staffed over the bank holiday weekend and we made lots of extra work! The items were listed as box damaged and will be re-boxed for transport. However, they came in the original boxes and to be honest; it was hard to see any damage to the box at all! The ovens inside were immaculate, complete with all original packaging, protection and manuals, and once we (finally) decided on the right oven for us, we are very pleased with it. So, thank you Appliance Centre, but most of all; Thank You Laura! If your boss reads this, he should give you a pay rise! If you carry on with the excellent customer service you displayed with us, it won't be long before there are plenty of positive reviews to more than counterbalance the previous bad ones! Opened it up now to install. It is missing the glue (I presume tape) to install the extractor. I was told a number of times it is a new item so why are installation parts missing??? Of course while I'm trying to get the kitchen installed at 16:30 on christmas eve you are not answering the phones.

Shannon offered an exceptional standard of customer service by making sure that my delivery arrived in plenty of time before I had to go out also a big thank you to all the staff who made my experience of ordering my fat fryer stress free just wish you had the washing machine that I'm looking for but will certainly look at your site in the future first thank you all once again keep up the personal touch makes a big difference you stand out from all the other sites

The first oven arrived in pieces and they were very good at this point in sorting it out my refund as they didn't have a replacement. I eventually bought a different oven and used a bank transfer after discussing what had happened with John the manager. However I never received an invoice or receipt which I had on the previous purchase, presumably because it was over the phone and not through their online system. Everything was delivered Ok and worked for a while but then it developed a fault that should be covered with their 1 year warranty. I have proof of purchase through my bank statements but its been over 3 weeks of calling without ever getting the promised call back. Steven and John are utterly disinterested and somewhat curt in their response as they blame me for not having an invoice number. Its sad as initially they seemed a good company but I guess its not until something goes wrong do you really get to know a company's customer service.

Great price , brand new Smeg washing machine as described. Delivery on time and completely as described. Was a bit sceptical initially as price was too good to be true (£450 instead of £1000+) but it's the real deal and the washing machine is perfect , arrived in the original packaging and has been working perfectly for the last couple of months.

I had read quite a few reviews online and it was very mixed all of the negative comments seem to of been from rude customers or people who didn’t read that they sell items with dents etc so I decided to take the plunge and hope for the best! Financially I’m not in the position to be buying a brand new dryer as I’m on maternity leave and as it’s going in the garage a few dents doesn’t mater… I brought a slightly used one and when it came it was in far better condition than I thought it would be and couldn’t believe I got it for the price. Unfortunately when I tried it out it didn’t work and never removed the water from the clothes. After the reviews I read I was dreading the phone call incase they refused to help. Anna was excellent she was so helpful and as it was the weekend said she would call with an update on Monday when the managers were in. I managed to get another one the same make and of similar condition sent out. The next time a van was in my area was in 12 days but I really needed the dryer for babies clothes. Anna managed to get a driver out to me today to do the exchange. I have just finished my washing load and it works and the clothes feel lovely and soft 🥰! So glad I ignored the negative comments. Just goes to show the company are great with issues if spoken to in a suitable manor. I am now very happy with my new dryer and the savings I have made on it compared to buying it new!!

We were absolutely delighted with the excellent value and prompt delivery of our fridge freezer. The delivery driver went out of his way to help us get it into our narrow gate and got it into our kitchen. Much appreciated as excellent customer service seems very rare these days. Highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again.

From start to finish an excellent experience, very easy ordering online and I found customer services to be more than helpful and polite... they even rang us to arrange everything. The delivery was delayed at my request and on the day of delivery we got a call as promised 30-60 minutes beforehand so i could get back home quickly to take the delivery. The delivery driver was very helpful and adhered to the regulations with Covid he also unwrapped the very well packaged product for us so we could check it before he left but everything was just perfect. After using our new range cooker for just over a week now I can say it's perfect and the price from the Appliance depot saved us a fortune. Overall a great buying experience i'll be recommending you guys to all my friends.

“You get what you pay for” best summarises my experience with the Appliance Depot. To avoid congestion charges, they only deliver between 6:00-6:30 AM (!!!) to central London addresses - but conveniently forget to mention this when orders are placed online. I ordered two items from the Appliance Depot (cooking hood / single oven). Both came with insufficient, unprofessional packaging, and the cooking hood was damaged as a result. I had to contact the manufacturer for repairs - nightmare. Avoid this company.

Please refer to my earlier review which may have been a little harsh. Although not happy that I’m unable to use my Smeg integrated coffee machine at the moment due to incorrect brackets being supplied, the team especially Laura and the manager Steve have been helpful in trying to help source another bracket and also given me £25 back for my inconvenience.
