I don’t even want to give you one star. The most awful experience I have had. My extractor hood was damaged. I could not examine this until my kitchen was being fitted - but because this was more than 48 hours was sent a email which says after this no liability. Great customer service….not. Delivery man manhandled an already damaged box into my house. Buyer beware this is a company that sells cheaper but you get cheap rubbish!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Dreadful customer service. Their driver arrived at my property at 5:35am and caused significant damage to my property in his vehicle, which I witnessed and took photographic evidence of immediately. I spoke to their team, who were at first very helpful, but when it came to rectifying the issue, they refused. Their driver Ben denied all knowledge and would not accept responsibility and their manager Steve has refused to accept responsibility despite the overwhelming evidence. Having been a regular customer, I will not be shopping here again and have shared this very poor experience with others.

Be careful if you buy from the Appliance Depot as I brought a range cooker from them. They clearly do not check the appliances work before they send them out, as the one I received, the left hand oven didn’t work at all and the oven lights will not go out on the other oven. Leaving us with no cooker for Christmas. They simply have passed the buck to a third party to try to sort out the problems. Not happy at all.

Bought a SMEG oven for circa £1000 Bought a SMEG oven for circa £1000. Advised them of delivery date as we were driving it down to our house in France. It was delivered (dumped) outside our next door neighbours property at 6am without any documentation. When driven down to France and installed, it didn't work. Called and emailed their office to ask what to do. Received rude and abrupt replies. Requested urgent reply as we were driving back to London and needed to know if we should bring it back with us. Advised them that we were not returning until 2025. Received no reply. Continued to email when returned to London and finally received a reply saying, sorry, nothing we can do. Completely unprofessional and deceitful Company who lie. I will never use this Company again as they are completely untrustworthy.

Totally agree with the previous negative reviews regarding how unfairly the company treats its customers. I purchased a sink using my phone. It did not have the complete description of it on the website when using a phone and the first image of the sink was not accurate either as it did not show pre-cut holes on it. The sink also arrived with scratches. They charge £50 for returns (they agreed to reduce it to £25) plus the customer should also pay for having it returned through an insured courier. Needles to say this would be a ripoff and unfair treatment to customers. Best to avoid purchasing from The Appliance Depot unless you want to take the risk of losing money at no fault of yours.

Terrible service The hob I bought wasn’t delivered with all the pieces needed to install it. After 10 days of chasing, no one is getting back to me.

I would not recommend buying from this company if you either live in London (or an apartment anywhere) or value good customer service. I purchased a cooker hood and dishwasher from this company to be delivered to my address which consists of a flat number and building name (first line), and street number and street name (second line). The driver called me to say I have two addresses as he mistook the two lines of the address for two addresses. I then spoke to the shop where the discussion quickly degraded into threats of libel, personal attacks, and rude and disgusting behaviour from the manager. He also insisted that it is two addresses and I kept repeating to him that it is the first two lines of the same address. He still insisted that it is two addresses, and I reiterated that it is two lines of the same address. This exchange went in the same circle a large number of times which I now realise could never have ended amicably if the manager is not aware that an address can have two lines like this (one with a flat number and one with a street number) and he is unwilling to accept and learn that this is possible when presented by a customer. Instead of doing the latter, he continued to insist that I am wrong despite asserting that I know my own address and that it is common throughout London and also listed as such on Royal Mail. He also said that an address cannot have two different numbers in it. His lack of understanding became pure arrogance instead of simply accepting that the customer is right especially as it was concerning an address that belongs to the customer and not him. I then had to spell it out for him and tell him that the first line represents the flat number and building and the second line represents the door number and street of the building. I believe at this point he finally understood, but then told me that I told him it was two addresses. I strongly asserted that at no point did I say this, but he kept insisting that I did. His behaviour now morphed to denial as well as arrogance. This led to another circular argument where his behaviour started to also become rude and obnoxious as he made a series of personal attacks asking if I'm "not right in t'head" and if I've "got nowt better to do". He also kept hanging up on me which did not help the situation given that the matter was urgent with the driver in the vicinity of my property trying to find the correct address. He even threatened to tell the driver to not deliver the items and return them to the depot out of spite which would have wasted everyone's time, not least mine and my tenants who had made arrangements to be at home for the delivery. During the various phone calls, I also spoke to at least three other staff who told me I was "pedantic", and refused to tell me if the manager I spoke to was the owner of the company citing "GDPR" even though I'm a customer and that this is public information (not private per the 'P' in GDPR). Finally I threatened to post my experience on social media to which I was told by the manager that he would post on the Internet about me! Now, I'm unsure what kind of business training this man has had, but vindictively threatening to do something illegal to an disgruntled customer over an address mix-up, especially where the customer provided the address correctly and accurately, would not be my go-to response if I cared about my business. He even said he had looked me up online and would post on my own businesses even though they have nothing to do with this situation. How rancorous. Needless to say, here I am posting about my experience as Appliance Depot do not seem to care about losing business by anyone who might read this review. As they say, no skin off my nose, but potentially an indeterminate loss of revenue for them, all because of a man who hates his customers, hates his business, and seemingly hates life. In the end I finally spoke to someone called Tony who called himself the IT Manager. He is the only one in the company who seems to have any business acumen and a sense of customer service as he immediately understood how London apartment addresses work and also understood how a single bad review can lead to one or many other customers choosing not to buy appliances from Appliance Depot. Unfortunately I never received any further communication or apology, and I'm worried if I should ever have a warranty issue with my products how it would be handled as I do not want to deal with this company anymore with the way its staff treats customers who have paid them money. It's not how I would treat someone who was kind enough to choose me to part with their money in return for my products or services. But hey, each to their own!

Horrible horrible service. First delivered a full size smeg dishwasher when we asked for a slimline. Charged us £50 charge to change and said it was our fault and the price difference. After multiple phone calls and emails with multiple people working at the company asking for the integrated slimline Smeg dishwasher. We received an Amica dishwasher for the price of a Smeg. Appalling comunication and service. Avoid them.

Good service on my initial visit to the showroom but unfortunately my viewpoint is now not so positive! I asked some basic questions about the product I purchased and received incorrect advice. When I called after the purchase to discuss I was met with a polite but firm "it's not really our problem now and there is nothing we can do about it". Not a great experience to be honest and I would not use the Appliance Depot again or recommend/endorse to friends/family/work colleagues.

Company did not contact me on the delivery and I had to call them once a week for three consecutive weeks to arrange the delivery and every time they promissed to deliver next Tuesday. At the end of the third week they have asked for my photo ID to provide. This company are big scammers and I have reported them to the police.

Fridge not delivered as promised. Appliance Depot using external couriers with no control over delivery dates/times. They expected me to chase up their chosen couriers. My purchase contract was with Appliance Depot, not a courier company. Cancelled order. Very disappointing. As you can see from the photo below, they haven’t got a clue.

We bought a NordMende dishwasher, the damage on the machine was far worse than the one we chose on line. I have never had a dish washer that leaves everything still dirty , marks left in mugs, spoons that are filthy the worst £269 ever spent.

Appliance has never worked. They have refused to send an engineer to disconnect. I cannot afford a new one, no booking facilities and lost as to what to do next. Avoid at all costs

We waited two weeks for them to deliver our freezer down to Surrey. I took a day off work to be in for it. It arrived and turned out to be a fridge as it was labelled wrong. They then wouldn't arrange collection/replacement for another two weeks because they weren't delivering to the area. We are now left with a fridge we cannot use in our dining room for another two weeks. They wouldn't make any exceptions with booking an external courier, despite offering this as a service on their website. DO NOT buy from this place unless you live locally to midlands as they cannot be trusted to deliver, and their retuning process is extremely difficult.

Purchased damaged goods but it wasn’t clear on the website. Appliance Depot say it was but there definitely was no indication or photos saying cosmetic damage!! Be very care what you purchase.

Problems with my graded Smeg range cooker: Sides far more ‘dented’ than described – more like caved in Dent back of hob area (not described in listing) Front foot plate scratched and dented (not mentioned in listing – front described as ‘no damage’ ) No gas hose adaptor or LPG fittings (omitted from delivery on Friday and noticed on Saturday by my plumber) Door lines uneven (‘no damage’ to front of cooker in listing) What I was told by AD: Adaptor has never been missing before – implying I was mistaken Can’t do anything over weekend – although I did then get another call Adaptor will be sent 1st thing Monday to arrive Tuesday (It’s Thursday now and I still don’t have it) Why didn’t you decline the delivery? (I accepted the damage to the sides and even the small dent to the hob as I am not a fussy customer and the damage to the sides would not be seen) Why didn’t you tell us sooner? (I phoned and sent an email on the Saturday and another one on Monday after telephoning about the foot plate and being asked to send pictures. I only saw the uneven doors on Monday when the cooker had been put in situ and I had a moment to look at it from the other side of the room – not originally obvious in my small hallway) Maybe I have uneven floors which would account for the uneven doors (?) Further conversations: I suggested I could have a replacement and was told ‘no’ – I would be given a full refund. I was later called by Steve who offered me a replacement saying he had some new Smeg cookers in. I accepted this after looking at the website, but noticed the one I wanted (albeit same model and grading) was a lower price. Steve then retracted his offer when I pointed out the price difference and that I would be due a refund – saying that he had put himself out already, wasn’t prepared to refund me (what amounted to £50 in a potential sale of more than £1,000), I was clearly a difficult customer and he couldn’t be bothered with all the paperwork. I don’t know what Steve’s problem is, but he needs to think about how much all of this has put ME out and I’m sure his boss won’t be too pleased with his lack of business acumen. I was prepared to give the business another chance. So….I am now waiting in for the cooker to be collected. I have been forced to buy a new cooker from Appliances Online so that I have a cooker for my guests next week. My plumber will need to visit a second time. I will have been without a cooker for a week.
