SMEG Rome sink and tap absolute piece of rubbish - tap broken and pieces for plumbing don't fit together so leaks. Absolutely not fit for purpose - company not willing to refund. Had to pay plumber to install as well and will have to pay again for uninstall and new unit to be fitted.

Appliance has never worked. They have refused to send an engineer to disconnect. I cannot afford a new one, no booking facilities and lost as to what to do next. Avoid at all costs

We waited two weeks for them to deliver our freezer down to Surrey. I took a day off work to be in for it. It arrived and turned out to be a fridge as it was labelled wrong. They then wouldn't arrange collection/replacement for another two weeks because they weren't delivering to the area. We are now left with a fridge we cannot use in our dining room for another two weeks. They wouldn't make any exceptions with booking an external courier, despite offering this as a service on their website. DO NOT buy from this place unless you live locally to midlands as they cannot be trusted to deliver, and their retuning process is extremely difficult.

Purchased damaged goods but it wasn’t clear on the website. Appliance Depot say it was but there definitely was no indication or photos saying cosmetic damage!! Be very care what you purchase.

Problems with my graded Smeg range cooker: Sides far more ‘dented’ than described – more like caved in Dent back of hob area (not described in listing) Front foot plate scratched and dented (not mentioned in listing – front described as ‘no damage’ ) No gas hose adaptor or LPG fittings (omitted from delivery on Friday and noticed on Saturday by my plumber) Door lines uneven (‘no damage’ to front of cooker in listing) What I was told by AD: Adaptor has never been missing before – implying I was mistaken Can’t do anything over weekend – although I did then get another call Adaptor will be sent 1st thing Monday to arrive Tuesday (It’s Thursday now and I still don’t have it) Why didn’t you decline the delivery? (I accepted the damage to the sides and even the small dent to the hob as I am not a fussy customer and the damage to the sides would not be seen) Why didn’t you tell us sooner? (I phoned and sent an email on the Saturday and another one on Monday after telephoning about the foot plate and being asked to send pictures. I only saw the uneven doors on Monday when the cooker had been put in situ and I had a moment to look at it from the other side of the room – not originally obvious in my small hallway) Maybe I have uneven floors which would account for the uneven doors (?) Further conversations: I suggested I could have a replacement and was told ‘no’ – I would be given a full refund. I was later called by Steve who offered me a replacement saying he had some new Smeg cookers in. I accepted this after looking at the website, but noticed the one I wanted (albeit same model and grading) was a lower price. Steve then retracted his offer when I pointed out the price difference and that I would be due a refund – saying that he had put himself out already, wasn’t prepared to refund me (what amounted to £50 in a potential sale of more than £1,000), I was clearly a difficult customer and he couldn’t be bothered with all the paperwork. I don’t know what Steve’s problem is, but he needs to think about how much all of this has put ME out and I’m sure his boss won’t be too pleased with his lack of business acumen. I was prepared to give the business another chance. So….I am now waiting in for the cooker to be collected. I have been forced to buy a new cooker from Appliances Online so that I have a cooker for my guests next week. My plumber will need to visit a second time. I will have been without a cooker for a week.

In the unfortunate event your appliance is determined faulty after 6 months there is no rules its what the management says regardless of where you are in terms of your warranty. When i first spoke to them about the issues they demanded a report stating it was not repairable, now that engineer has determined its a lost cause they have decided they wont refund or replace so they are not even keeping to their word. Most retailers would have proper supply channels and hence they would have agreements where they take the faulty goods back and replace or issue you a refund and take it up with their suppliers. - not in this case my advice if you plan to spend your hard earned money and think you will save a couple of quid by going here please think again. when things work its a great feeling you got yourself 50quid off however in the unfortunate event the item is bad that's when you regret it.

What's the point of having " make an offer" option on your Ebay site then not having the common decency to respond with at least a response either sorry can't go that low or a counter offer of what you will except. Now bought elsewhere so a sale lost though probably not bothered as you couldn't be bothered to respond to my offer.

Hi Steve, Really sorry for any inconvenience... we have been advised by SagePay (Evalon) that there was an issue at their end, for now we have now put another gateway in place so payments with 3DS will go through ok, while they fix this SCA issue.

The item had some damage on the front of the facia , they tried to say the damage may have been caused by me , I had trouble getting a refund , I asked eBay to step in , they managed to get my refund payed in full.

Delivery cancelled as the driver had broken down. Had to wait a week for the rescheduled delivery even though I explained that my kitchen fitter was only around for a few more days. The microwave when it arrived was broken with everything but the food heating up. Now have to wait another week for an engineer. Not worth the discounted price and I wouldnt use this company again.

I'm so disappointed with Appliance Depot. Firstly the delivery driver arrived at 5.37am in the morning, despite being told it would be more likely to be around 7am, as we were meant to be the 2nd delivery of the day. We were also promised calls and messages ahead of arrival - they didn't happen either. The driver refused to take any of the appliances to the house - as we had too many steps (10). Apparently his rule is only 4 steps. When I asked him if he could take them up just 4 steps, he again refused. Luckily we're young men, I'm not sure how elderly people are meant to manage. Secondly the appliance arrived scratched, when we were told it didn't have any faults. I've emailed and reported this issue, but they've chosen to ignore me. Such bad customer service - do not shop with them!

I purchased a SMEG dishwasher one year ago. It was delivered with no fitting template and these guys just kept referring me to the OEM, taking no responsibility. One way or another it has been nothing but trouble. Latest issue is it won't drain it's water. I asked from help from The Appliance Depot and was told the machine is 3 days out of warranty. They claim the warranty commences the day you order, not the day the machine is delivered!?!?!? I'm on a 12 month waiting list for a new car, let's hope the warranty didn't already start.....! Back to the dishwasher, which needs its door to be opened and closed multiple times before it starts. This is an issue that has got steadily worse, and one I should have in all honesty complained about sooner. However, like most people I'm too busy to spend much time on this stuff and the machine would eventually decide to start, even if it was annoying. Back to the machine not draining. Given the lack of response from The Appliance Depot I called British Gas under my homecare cover. They were brilliant and advised me the starting issue is down to the body of the machine being warped, preventing the door making a good connection. This machine was sold to me as an 'ex-Demo' unit. Apparently it wasn't inspected very well. When I tried to get some of this resolved I was met with "out of warranty mate". 3 days outside warranty, a warranty that starts ticking when you place your order. Appalling. Won't buy from this people (or SMEG as the machine is really quite poor quality) again. Incidentally, the British Gas engineer said the machine is basically a write-off.

stay clear of this company they have an habit of charging you if you cancel . I purchased a fridge and them cancelled and then after speaking to a very abrupt woman she said no problem and charged me £50.00 for non delivery and £50.00 for cancelling .They are crooks and i advise all potential customers to go elsewhere and not get scammed

Hello Sean, Thank you for your review. I've looked into this for you and can see you sent an email the night before delivery to cancel your order as you ordered a white fridge freezer and had changed your mind and wanted a black one to match your new counter tops. You called us just as one of our colleagues were able to contact you to cancel your order. They explain the £50 failed delivery fee very clearly on the phone to you before processing your refund, which you agreed with. They did also offered you an exchange which you said you would rather have a refund (as you wanted a Hotpoint one and not a Bosch). All cancelations need to be expressed 48 hours before delivery, you emailed us at 7:14pm and 7:17pm the night before (out of office hours) so we couldn’t put a stop to your order leaving our warehouse. This is also written on our terms and conditions pages very clearly, as well as on your invoice. As your order left us before you contacted us and our driver was very close to getting to your delivery when you contacted us on morning of delivery we can’t issue a refund of the deliver fee (which is £29.99 not £50 as you have expressed). Our apologies you feel we have treated you badly, but we make all this very clear on our website (in the delivery t's&c's) and when arranging delivery (written on your digital copy of your invoice and in your delivery confirmation email).

Cooker advertised as having rotisserie when it didn’t. Advised to take up directly with Smeg. No further replies to correspondence to resolve.

Waste of time trying to get a few pounds cheaper. I received the dishwasher as if someone had thrown it off the lorry. After sending photos immediately after delivery, the refund was refused until the damaged goods were taken back to the warehouse (I had to wait about a week for the return), which delayed the purchase of a new dishwasher this time new from the store.

I bought a washing machine and was told it was discounted due to it having a dent on the side. When the machine arrived it was in quite a state. I phoned them and they said I could have an additional £30. discount which did not reflect the condition of the machine. Because I had to make a decision while the driver was still at my house I stupidly agreed. When I tested the machine after the driver left, the machine didnt work correctly. I phone immediately to report the problem and the lady was SO rude. Basically said it was my problem and not theirs. Asked twice to speak to manager and they refused to return my calls. I would stay clear of these people as they are not selling what they advertise and when something goes wrong they don.t want to know.

I was told the washing machine a a couple of small dents on the side but on arrival of the washing machine it was obvious that the machine was in a lot worse state. Upon calling The Appliance Depot they said I could have another £30 off the purchase price if I kept the machine but had to make a decision straight away while the driver was still at my house. I decided to keep the machine and plugged it in and put on a load. The cycle didnt take the time it should have and kept jumping in time and the clothes came out dirty. It is clear the machine has been abused and its faulty. I called the The Applicance Depot and the girl was very rude and made it quite clear that I couldnt return the machine and the problem is now mine and not theirs. Said I had to contact Bosch to get it fixed! I asked the manager to call me but hasnt done so. I cant beleive this service and surely my purchasing rights shouldnt allow me to be in this situation. I would be happy to swap for a machine that works but girl wasnt interested. I would not use this company as they made it very clear customer service is not important.

Product arrived with a terrible gash in the side that penetrated the insulation. Described as a cosmetic dent. No help from company to return it. I will never use this company again.
