30/08/25: I ordered a used combi microwave from The Appliance Depot with 3 months warranty. 08/09/25: the microwave was delivered. I was advised to check it ASAP to report any damage or faults. 22/09/25: a qualified electrician fitted, but after a few days it became apparent that unit had a faulty panel, and possibly a fault with the microwave. 01/10/25: I reported the faulty appliance to Appliance Depot (AD) on 01/10/25 via email, and asked to return the unit. I did not feel comfortable keeping an appliance that costs over £1500 knowing that it had faults, and only 3 months warranty. 03/10/25: I chased AD again, as I had not received any sort of acknowledgement of my return request. 04:10/25: AD offered to repair the fault. 04/10/25: I declined the offer of a repair, as I had lost faith in this particular appliance, and didn’t want to risk a further fault developing after the remaining 2 months warranty had expired. I asked AD to process a return and refund. 07/10/25: I chased AD again, not having heard anything from them, and suggested that surely they had a documented returns process that should be straight forward to implement. 10/10/25: I chased AD again, not having heard anything from them, and expressed my disappointment in AD’s post sales customer service. 13/10/25: I chased AD again, not having heard anything from them. I advised that I would contact my credit card company and seek some legal consumer advice. I also told them I would be documenting my experience in this review today. Let’s see what happens next. I think The Appliance Depot is a trustworthy company, until there is something wrong with an appliance they have sold. I only now notice the summary on this review site regarding their “Refunds Process – Difficult” and “Returns Process – Could be Better”. Personally, I wouldn’t risk buying a “graded” nor “used” product from then again – too much money at risk, and not worth the stress.

I purchased an oven from this company which I also contacted by telephone first as they advertise the oven as graded which meant it had some defect. I was advised by them to check the pictures and also they sent the pictures to me again on the web chat for my viewing. I did doublecheck and considering the price. If I were to purchase brand-new without marks I thought it was really a good offer, however I was very keen and rang them back again to doublecheck I decided to place an order and the oven was delivered within a week when it arrive. I was absolutely surprise to find that I had purchased a brand new oven for more than £300 reduced for only a small dent on the to the top which is not visible to anybody. They also said there was a small scratch on the front but it turns out the scratch was just a mark that could be cleaned off. I am really really happy. I saved a lot of money and I’m glad I took the time to doublecheck by telephone call by Web chat and also speaking to one of the managers as well. I would buy from them again. The delivery guy was also absolutely fantastic.

Received a phone call rather than a text or email which was refreshing. Being able to speak to or hear from a human being was appreciated and is something that this business should build on having completed 90% of the transaction on line. Good stuff Appliances Depot.

It's nice to have the option to telephone rather than do everything online, so I was pleased to see a 'proper' phone number on their website. It was quickly answered by Laura who knew immediately which product I was talking about, answered questions about it, was able to arrange a delivery slot and offered free delivery too. It was almost as if she ran the company; very impressive. Subsequent comms were handled by Charlie and he was equally efficient. The driver phoned an hour before he was due to arrive, so I could plan my morning, and unloading was swift and efficient.

When incorrect wine cooler was delivered, John (the manager) was superb. He sorted it all out with an absolute minimum of fuss and was incredibly polite and helpful. I would happily use Appliance Depot again … and would recommend.

Great service and a quality Fridge Freezer at a great price. Delivered as promised. Staff very friendly and helpful. If you get a chance to visit the Depot it offers great options in goods and you could find yourself buying other items too but the website is also easy to navigate and shop from.

In a world where it is impossible to speak to retailers, this one actually called me within hours of me placing an order. They called to confirm details of the order and the delivery process. This level of service is rare nowadays. Keep up the good work!
