Rating reflects delivery issues - told items had been delivered when they hadn't and items turned up 3 days later with no explanation as to earlier issues.

Dear Mr Stanley We are totally unaware of any issues you have had with DPD. As far as we are aware the order was checked, dispatched and delivered within the FREE delivery window of 5 days. Had we been made aware of any issues we would have happily spoken to DPD to understand what issues they had in trying to deliver the order. I appreciate the delivery didn't go to plan but feel it slightly unfair that you have given us a negative review and rated our service only 2 stars. Maybe it would be good idea to make it clear the issue was with DPD and leave feedback on their website also.

I ordered the Sink on Thursday and spoke to a person to check that it would be delivered by the following Thursday. I was informed on the Following Thursday that it would be delivered on Friday, so I had to arrange for someone to be at the house to receive it. I was then informed that they had tried to deliver to my residential address in an Articulated lorry and my road was too narrow - The delivery instructions mention HGV's not Artics, and HGV is fine and we have never had access issues in the past. I rebooked for Monday delivery, and my wife took a day off work to receive the sink... at 3pm I had not heard so called them, apparently delivery depot forgot to put sink on vehicle. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Dear Mr Spooner We are sorry you feel our service was not up to standard and can only apologise for any inconvenience caused. Prior to the delivery we do send an email stating the delivery of your large, heavy and fragile sink will arrive on a large HGV and if access is difficult or restricted, please let us know so we can inform the delivery company. If we had been made aware of the restricted access, we could have asked the delivery company to change to a smaller vehicle. I have asked our customer service team to look at the wording of the email sent prior to delivery to see whether HGV/ARTIC would be more suitable. Kind Regards, Paul.

Tap arrived in good time. When fitted plumber noticed a leak caused by a defective o-ring. When I called, all I got was the telephone number of the manufacturer with no offer of a replacement tap

Hi Paul The O-Ring on a spout is easily changed without having to remove the whole tap. A member of staff gave you Abodes technical number so we could ensure they sent you the exact spare part for your tap. If they are aware of any other issues, they would be able to discuss this with you over the phone.

I purchased two sinks and these arrived promptly, but when I opened them I was disappointed to find one was damaged and the other did not have the expected tap hole. I was not impressed with the quality of the products generally. I contacted sinks-taps and asked to return them for a refund and they arranged for them to be picked up. I was told they would wait until the sinks came back and had been inspected before issuing a refund. One month later I had still not received the refund so I contacted them again. I was told it would be refunded by the end of the week. A week and a half later there was still no refund so I had to contact them again. The refund was processed later that day, about 6 weeks after I had returned the sinks.

Dear Mr Channell. We can only apologise for the delayed process. The sinks were not returned to our depot in York and this caused some delay and confusion in issuing the the refund. I have checked the system and can see you were issued a full refund. Again, we can only apologise for the delay and hope we did not cause too much inconvenience. Regards Paul.

The product is good but the delivery service DPD is appalling. They promised delivery twice, failed to deliver, I paid for an upgrade and they failed yet again and the tap arrived five days later than promised. And they have kept my extra fiver for upgraded delivery! I suggest you use a better delivery service.

Ordered the taps on 4th August for my new kitchen and received a reply saying delivery would be on the 15th which was ideal for the fitter, the 15th ended up being a tap free day so the next morning I phoned customer services who said they would look into it. In the afternoon I realised that were not going to phone me back regarding the situation so I phoned customer services once more who then passed me on to a chap who told me that the taps were coming from Italy: wow impressed, and they would be delivered on the 20th or maybe the 21st. You've guessed it today is the 21st so here I am waiting alongside my kitchen fitter who has finished the work - barring the taps of course - for a delivery. Kitchen fitter has just told me he has another job to do and can't wait so he is off and will maybe come back tomorrow, don't you love it when a plan comes together as the A team used to say, it's just a pity about this one.

Dear Mr Cowley I'm afraid the tap we normally keep in stock had an unexpected delay due to the manufacturing plant in Italy closing down for 4 weeks over summer. We had an initial date which due to the closure wasn't met and we have to apologise for the inconvenience this caused. We did however, make arrangements to have some taps collected from Italy by courier so we could complete your order as quickly as possible. I have tracked your order with DPD and can see it was scheduled for delivery on the 21st as advised. Again, apologies for not meeting our usually high standards, we all care about the service we provide and are disappointed when we let customers down. Regards Richard

Belfast sink did not fit my kitchen - advertised as 595mm wide, but actually 605mm wide. I was told I could return it at my expense, which would cost c£40, they allow a tolerance of 2% so beware!

Dear Mr Wood. I spoke to you earlier as well as explaining to your kitchen fitter that he needed to put a filler either side of the unit of just 2.5mm. I'm afraid that every single manufacturer of ceramic sink products state the finished size can vary slightly, due to the production process. Most state + or - 2%. As every sink is handmade its impossible to get an exact size. However, I explained in detail exactly how your kitchen fitter could install the sink without any real problems. I also gave the option of being able to return the sink to us for a full refund if needed. Kind Regards, Richard

Would love to give a positive review but have not yet received tap. Ordered 6th June, now 17th June but no sign of tap. Rang on 15th to be told tap out of stock and new supplies coming in on Tuesday. No suggestion it was out of stock when ordered online. Would not have minded but why no email to say it was delayed. It should not be up to the customer to chase. Bet you have not delayed in processing the payment.

Hi Stephen. We are really sorry for the delay on the tap. Abode have had a lot of unexpected delays on their products coming from the Italian factory. Your particular product shows a delivery delay online of 1-2 weeks. However, we will chase Abode for an up to date delivery date. We will also look to upgrade the delivery to an overnight service so we get the tap to you as soon as we possibly can. Again, apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Hi Alan The item you ordered on the website are shown as 'Special Order' and also state delivery will be up to 2 weeks. As soon as the products are ready for dispatch and checked, we will contact you to arrange a delivery date. Regards, James

I have been waiting so far for about 10 days as apparently the tap is out of stock. However, had this been pointed out at the time of ordering I would not of ordered it.

Hi Martin Thank you for your Review/Feedback. On our website, every single product shows the current availability alongside the option you have chosen. For example: Chrome might be in stock but Brushed might be delayed for 1 week. On your particular tap our website shows a delay of approx 2 weeks. I appreciate you didn't see the delivery information just above the 'BUY NOW' button but with over 10,000 products we do try very hard to keep all delivery information up to date and this particular tap did show a delay in availability.

I have not received my order, it is now 11 days since order was placed seem to be waiting on manufacturer and a call back from Sinks & Taps. When I get the items I will be able to review them, but currently service & delivery is slow. The prices are good so I will use this company again, just a hitch!

Dear Mrs Sims Many thanks for your feedback. We are very sorry there was a delay with your order. As explained we had two of the four items in stock and were expecting the remaining two items on our next delivery from the Manufacturers. Unfortunately the two remaining items didn't turn up on the delivery. We have offered to exchange the two missing items with similar products and also offered to cover any additional cost. We process thousands of orders and most items are held in stock for immediate delivery. However, occasionally we have an unexpected delay and would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Delivered on day pre-specified as to be avoided (as I was out of country) ... and yet supposedly signed-for by me (not)! Packaging damaged - but more importantly not all items ordered were included AND sinks have surface scratches on corners. All in all ... a very poor experience.

I purchased a villeroy and boch sink with waste. the sink was excellent and a fair price but i also purchased the waste with this. which the person said i needed. on day of installation the fitter said that it was the wrong waste so i made a call to the seller.They said that the person with the information regard what waste i needed was in a meeting and would call me back. Guess what no call back. I know i should chase this up but when someone says they will call you expect it.so thats why i giving it a poor rating,

Hi Andy Please accept our apologies. I have looked into the issue and found the message left with a member of staff did not get passed onto the technical department. Whilst we have an excellent team and a normally robust system, we will occasionally miss the odd callback. I have also checked your product content and found the correct items for your sink were ordered and should have fitted together without any problems. It may have possibly been your fitter who wasn't familiar with the items.

Sinks-Taps. Really helpful and good service on the phone. Would love to give a good review. Sadly their method of delivery is nothing less than appalling. Got one phone call to say delivery would be in an hour. Missed the call. Hence no one home, as we were not informed of day of delivery. No card through door. Left it 5 days then rang to see where sink was. In a holding warehouse apparently. GOOD JOB I RANG. No communication from delivery company or Sinks -Taps. Had to pay an additional £39 to have another delivery. One week after original delivery attempt, again just 1 hour notice. Driver then expected me to lay the huge box down to inspect the sink. Very sad, so many good companies out there that could have made a well communicated delivery. If you want good reviews Sinks-Taps change your delivery service.

Took money straight away but had to wait 8 weeks for tap to be delivered Never called to inform me or email, had to phone myself to enquire where it was Told delay at manufactures Customer service very poor in my opinion

Product was fine but delivery was really bad. First the courier turned up with the wrong package then when they returned they got stuck before a low railway bridge so I had to drive to the truck to pick up the sink!
