“I can highly recommend this firm. They advised on which part I needed for an old CDA fridge freezer very promptly (within hours). I ordered the part and although initially it came incomplete, after a quick e-Mail with immediate response the remainder came very quickly. I had a bit of difficulty fitting the part so I e-mailed them, a very quick reply with photos and fitting advice was received. Really good service.”

“I was very pleased that I found this website. I was able to get the spares (oven door hinges) that CDA said were not longer available although they did give me the actual spare P/N which helped. It saved me the cost of a new oven. I would not recommend CDA appliances but UK whitegoods provide a great service.”

“I recently bought a compatible basket spider for a Bosch WFL246SGB/01. The spider part seems to be made of cast aluminium as opposed to the original heavier zinc die-cast: aluminium is a far more corrosion resistant material than die-cast, which a cynic would describe as a deliberate weak spot in the old build, so top marks there. I also chose to paint my spider with hammerite paint. The spider spindle was a well machined stainless steel unit of high quality. The original spider is riveted to the basket and is only sold by Bosch as a complete unit, which on top of their policy of overpricing spares makes the repair of a broken spider uneconomic, the availability of a compatible part however is a godsend to the DIY repairer. The new spindle is almost identical to the original, however the widest part that has the bush on to run in the oil/water seal, is longer than the original and the spider arms are canted at a slightly steeper angle, meaning the spider needs to be recessed into the drum. This recessing can be achieved with patience and the use of a round headed hammer. Stainless steel is not the easiest material in the world to 'tin bash', but the centre section of the drum needs to be recessed by around 15mm for the new spider to fit. My only other minor gripe about the product that will probably perform better than the original, the recessing allowing for better cooling of the seal and hence keep down wear, was the lack of bolts and washers to fit it: I used M10x30mm stainless bolts, with full nuts, penny washers and spring locking washers.”
