“I was told that the part I needed was obsolete (a door for a Belling oven). When I quickly sourced the part from another supplier, I was told that it wouldn't be worthwhile trying to fix the oven anyway! I quote: > Surely this is not an appropriate response from a company who, I'm sure, would have been happy to sell me this spare part if they had had it in stock themselves! I feel aggrieved that a company selling spares to prolong the life of white goods would have been all too happy to condemn my cooker to landfill, with all the environmental ramifications. Anyone heard of COP26?”

That's great you managed to find somebody that had one, we didn't and as we said, we couldn't get an ETA on it for you. To say otherwise would have been untrue. The advice that was given was: "No problem but honestly, my advice is to replace the cooker as a lot of parts are going obsolete for it so, if something else breaks you may well be forced to change it anyway, after blowing £200 on a door." And that remains the same, if any of many other parts fail you may well have no option but to change the cooker in any event.

“Although it was very helpful to be given information about the parts needed for my cooker, I was unable to purchase the element as UK Whitegoods are unable to send goods to France. However, once I had the necessary part no I was able to order from a company willing to post to EU.”

“I was more than impressed with this company. Easy to use website with easy to find and compare compatible products. Excellent prices, products and shipping costs and times. Best company I have found for such things. Even my husband, who normally ignores all my attempts to discuss online shopping, was so impressed he said, 'Amazing, buy a few so we've got spares!' Although I did have to point out we could just try and be more careful and stop breaking bits of the fridge!”

“Good service, helped my select a known correct part when there was some ambiguity regarding my specific washing machine model. Avoid delivery by Hermes, that was a bit of a let down as I had no idea when it was arriving; their tracking just isn't very good.”

“Following a problem with my cooker I contacted Whitegoods who were very helpful in identifying the necessary part as well as proving to be by far the lowest cost supplier for this part. Regrettably I decided in the end that I would be happier not to undertake the repair myself but to use the repair team recommended by the manufacturer. This is no reflection on Whitegoods whom I would not hesitate to contact again under different cicumstances. They responded to my initial enquiry both very quickly and efficiently.”
