would like to see some support (customer) on weekends as i get stuff delivered on saturday's. if i have an issue with supplier, there is nothing i can do to contact on weekend.

Gets you to what you want in the end. The insistance on Postcode and tel is unnecessary to get a quote.

Took two weeks from accepting quote to collection & delivery. Not the fastest service in the world. Used it 4 times its always about that time frame. So if you need item in a hurry, maybe not for you.

This was my first negative experience from a courier and the only problem is that Shiply is unable to assist in resolving issues.

The service I received from Shiply was very good. However, the person who I chose from your quotes was not as good as I had hoped. Albeit I eventually received the sofa he was collecting for me but he failed to communicate with me. I had e-mailed to say that the address was incorrect and he did not respond and therefore he called at the wrong address. He also changed his collection day. On the day he did collect he emailed me he would phone me an hour before delivery but he failed to do that. Also, although I requested it, as was suggested in your contract, I asked him for insurance details and registration info but it was never forthcoming. So the system worked but not as smoothly as I had envisaged.

Having never used a courier service before, I went through Shiply thinking it would be them doing the couriering but they just organise the various courier services who are to be chosen from. The quote I accepted through Shiply was actually a small company run by a guy who didn't reply to my initial email, wouldn't answer his phone, and caused me quite a bit of concern! I emailed him directly on several occasions over the 4 day period from accepting the quote through Shiply to receiving my goods, and during this time I managed to get him to understand the importance of communicating with customers. He transformed from an ignorant buffoon to quite a courteous fellow, who changed his email responses from one word answers, to polite replies with respect for me as a customer. I explained how customer relationships SHOULD work instead of just being a 'chap with a van, delivering stuff'. This was quite unfortunate really, very unprofessional, and I wasn't impressed at all, however the company involved did keep their promise of delivering the goods intact, exactly how they should have been received, and they hopefully have a better understanding of the need to communicate with their customers. I gave them a reference reflecting this, because instead of rubbishing them behind their backs, I gave them a chance to change and they took it willingly. That, in my book, is worthy of the reference I gave them, but Shiply only provided me with access to the various couriers, they never had any further contact with me until now requesting this review. Come on Shiply, review the references and reviews of the customers who rate the couriers you purport to do business with! Poor show I'm afraid from my personal experience and I won't be using you again. Best wishes all the same, Mark Hind

Service and contact was excellent. The only issue was that given I was transporting a large motorbike, the courier had no ramp on which to load the bike. The delivery period was longer than indicated. That being said and given the amount paid I was happy with the service in general.

I was happy with the service from the courier but very unhappy to have had to pay a massive percentage of the overall cost to Shipley simply for passing my details on a courier.

I like the new fee structure with no hidden charges. The couriers I've used have ranged from appalling to brilliant.

For a first-time user it was difficult to understand how the system works. Please add options for the transporters to specify the desired mode of payment (e.g. cash upon collection etc.) and more details about the offer such that the client knows what exactly she accepts.

All a bit 'take it or leave it' - courier gave collection point half an hour before collection, then delivered a day early when no one was home here. Luckily my neighbours and I are used to accepting deliveries for each other so no problem. Very low price, which is obviously to fit in with courier's schedule; item delivered just fine, so no real complaints but seller would have liked a little more notice.

Hi every thing was good except Shipley couriers charging too much. It would be more better for customers if shipley couriers cut there fees by half.

I was let down by a driver and found it difficult to make contact with anyone, your phone number doesn't work and this caused some stress. Please program your system to keep quotes live or at least make them easy to retrive when drivers let customers down.
