Nice concept. Worked well until I made the deposit. Then took shiply four days to notify the courier that I'd accepted the job.

When I creating the list for the first time, It didn't let me add items that are not standard on the page and once I edited it only allowed me to add items only in additional information which I guess was not circulated to all the transporters that already have left a quote.

I did not realise that the £10 deposit went to Shiply, until driver turned up, I was under the impression that the quotes came straight from the delivery companies, where does it say that Shiply have put a tenner on the price? I think customer's must be made aware that the deposit does not go to the delivery company.

Still no sign of delivery !!!!!! Although john who delt with issues was quick at replying to emails and sorting a collection date but the courier service was terrible and has no idea where my beloved land-rover double pram is its been five days since collection and ive had to stay in everyday except sunday with small children who need walks for sleep!!!!!!

hi there. I used Shiply for the first time to transport floorboards which I had purchased on ebay. I attached the link to ebay showing the description of goods, which clearly said 'reclaimed, removed from 1860 house, denailed etc' . I received quotes, selected one - Lithuanica Transport and arranged the collection and delivery. So far a 'very good'. When the carrier collected, however, they claimed I hadn't listed the description correctly (exactly what was in the ebay description) and that they don't see the Ebay details. This was a shock to me, especially when they said they could not deliver to me unless I paid an additional sum of money . At this point my experience of Shiply reduced to 'poor'. LT did negotiate down their additional cost, to be fair, however by this point I already felt compromised. If the ebay description is not shown in detail to the courier company, what will stop this happening again? I've lost faith. All in all, this is a good service, but not executed well for the best customer experience.

Was cheap and fine but do not expect to have much communication from provider. Shame as a little more service would not have taken much time and would have changed the experience totally. Email only and I was not told what was going on. Parcel arrived fine by Citylink??? Not sure what that was about.

It's not intuitive to find your accepted courier's details on items you've accepted quotes for. You also need to separate quotes you've left feedback for as the job is then closed. It should be removed from your active list. When you relist at item, the quotes you had prior should not be removed, or at least should be in grey to show you who quoted before.

collected when said but van broke down on day it was going to get delivered to me so had to wait a week to get it otherwise ok

As good as the other courier referring company. But shiply takes a big cut compared to the other companies out there. The initial deposit payment basically goes to shiply not to the driver. Shiply needs to change some of there wordings at the time of payment.

A great way to get bargains you find on ebay delivered for a bargain price, but beware, if a courier doesn't deliver, you don't get your deposit back, you just get Shiply credit! I should be entitled to my money back! I may not need to use Shiply again!

All was generally okay, although it wasn't clear from the outset that the contracted delivery company wanted cash on delivery.

He didn't call me when he collected my motorbike, just called me on the day of delivery when he was 30 mins from my flat. I would expect a bit more communication. On the other side, price was very competitive and my motorbike arrived here without any damage.

First courier later refused the job. Would be helpful to have a comments box when listing the job to help avoid this. Otherwise a good site. Thanks

Communication and timing ok,the guys were running late with their schedule,so left unit right in the middle of kitchen,rather then bringing it to workshop,bit akward for me...

Excellent platform for serving the community for hiring transport, but the 25% cut Shiply takes is far too much for the service provided; recommend reducing commission to 10%.
