Great idea, great service from the guys who did the moving -however, very stressful to realise that if the company who were due to do the move suddenly were unable to I would not get a refund, only money in my Shiply account. I don't move very often and so don't have any use of Shiply services very often either, so was somewhat concerned when I started recieving e-mails of delays etc! Also Shiply told me that all the companies have insurance -which was not the case!

Shiply asks as a broker and all the ratings are user generated. While the site does work and provide reasonable quotes the customer is wholly dependent on the driver. If they don't turn up like my first one, etc., you cannot get a refund: nly a credit. Be warned.

Not impressed with the fact that they state you are paying a deposit to the company that moves you when It turns out that the deposit goes to Shiply and It's actually a fee you pay for putting your removal needs on the site..

The principle of Shipley is great, however we do feel communication with the service provider is tricky before accepting quotes.

The web site and bidding process was very good. ***** But I object that after I'd paid a deposit I was advised to confirm basic requirements for myself, e.g. carrier's license and insurance. The carriers shouldn't be on the site if they have not been prior verified. Otherwise, I could have paid £18 to Shiply and then discovered that I was unable to use the carrier. * Average ***

Can get very got quotes and decent couriers doing a very good service if your lucky. You'll not get exactly what you want as regards to time and dates with couriers but expect this as how else can the courier do the job so cheap????

Misleading: when you choose a bid adn leave a deposit, the email from Shiply tells you that teh supplier has received your deposit - around 25% of the total. In fact it appears that this goes to Shiply, you pay the supplier direct. Even the supplier was unaware of the huge mark-up added to his quote, I was lucky and had already corresponded with Malcolm at POINTA2B, and found a superb supplier who reduced his rate to allow for this and make the job affordable.

Website works ok. Bit plain. More importantly, considering Shiply leaves everything to customer and courier post-introduction and offers no security to the transaction, I consider their basic charge to the courier too high, ultimately adding to the cost to the customer too.

ok, but I wish it was only dedicated man-and-van couriers who offer quotes, I get a lot of people who I've directed to shiply sending national couriers to collect. if the item was suitable for "posting" i'd offer shipping in my listings! I may have to stop recommending shiply for this reason :( mike

I think the concept for the site is good. The implementation of it is bad. The site could be 10 times better organised, structured and user friendly. Although basic information is available at a glance drilling down to messages back and forth with Providers and details of your needs is not made clear. There is no space to put what you specifically need (which floor delivery etc) and these affect the pricing given. Then Providers don't respond to messages etc which is frustrating as you have no other way to contact them and then just give up with the site. Shiply needs to make sure and help Providers connect properly with messaging etc. Also to ensure customers are getting the competitive pricing which this platform is set up for. Anyvan another site does some things better but there are still issues with that site too. If Shiply can innovate more then I believe it could really do well and benefit both Customers and Providers more effectively.

Friendly couriers, although were hard to get hold of on the phone on the day. The sender was unhappy with them though and complained to me. It would be good if Shiply could send a confirmation email to all parties before delivery, mentioning the complaints procedure. Pleased overall. Many thanks.

Very little interest. Only one bid on the last 2 deliveries. Also no invoice from Shipleys for the £59 commission they were paid.

I some how paid the deposit twice and i am still waiting for you to sort with Paypal, as they have advised me that it would be yourselves to refund back to Paypal...If you need the reference numbers again - send last year - PLEASE ASK.

overall a good service, Shipley keeps asking to leave feedback when your item has not been delivered yet just a minor point but can get irritating when you have three emails asking the same question!!! Couriers are not held to account with any degree of accountabilty by Shipley i.e. refund of money when there is a crooked courier that takes your money and runs, okay! Shipley suspends there account, for the customer zilch nothing!! why Shipley does not have all couriers with an account pay into a fund to cover customers loss this would enhance Shipleys reputation and give the customer some form guanrantee , I lost £138 pounds to a criminal courier involved the police and Shipley and that was a waste of time and effort on my part. How many times did this guy rip customers off!!! and get away with it we could be looking at a fair bit of money??
